Wasn't QS supposed to live in the original screenplay but then Whedon changed the script because he felt the Avengers had to suffer a loss in order to make their victory more meaningful and to give the movie more gravitas and impact so he decided Pietro had to go. That's the way I heard it and would explain the lack of "killer" wounds in this cut. - ie he was originally unconscious but alive then they reshot it to have him killed.

u need to wait until the Fox and Marvel deal has ended,which is after Avengers: Endgame,and there u go,u have not just Quicksilver comeback in the MCU,but also all X-Men character such as Wolverine,Deadpool, Psylocke,etc. Other than that,Fantastic Four also will be joining into the MCU.
