This guy was a traditional full back but just look at how he's fit completely straight into the wing back play still giving top notch performances in all his games. Had it not been rampant injury situations hitting him, Ben Chilwell would have been arguably the best left back in UK.

Chelsea wingbacks Chilly and Reece are like the core of our team. Without them we are doomed, because our midfielders (exemption for Kante) don't create any chances like how our wingbacks does. We rely on our wingbacks more as most of our current midfielders in the team does is just backpass or pass sideways.

Kanter does not create either. But he's great at everything else though.

out of 10 points Chillwell single handedly contributed 6. won a penalty vs everton and assist and goal vs west ham

True..coach is handling his return into full match fitness well. Was a bit wobly during preseason and Cucurella coming in has some how assisted Chilwell have a comfortable return. His injury was so nasty. Going forward we need him in..Khoulibaly could rotate with Cucurella..they'll all synchronize with time

Chilwell is extremely lucky for Chelsea. Whenever he is in the team, Chelsea normally wins.

What are you guys on about? I said Chilwell is lucky for Chelsea. Even when Chelsea has a bad game, with Chilwell in the team we somehow, someway get a winner out of nowhere. And don't tell me none of you said after the match against Everton "Cucurella was so much better than Chilwell".

Using the right players and setting up the team rightly will always bring winning to Chelsea.

I feel for Chilwell. Because before his injury he was undroppable. But his injury made Tuchel think they needed Cucurella in case Chilwell didn’t return to his old form. So now he has to fight for his spot more than other players who don’t even deserve the spot they have

Fans and coach has never doubted his potential only that we had to sign Cucurela because Chilwell is injury prone. Otherwise Chilwell is our best left back

chillwel and cucurela are both good but the difference between them is that chillwel can shoot and he is more clinical in front of goal. We can play them both sometimes.

Chillwell made a randomly superb run which a left winger or attacker should make and no one Throughout the whole match did, he ran into the box and a beautiful pass by silva connected with his head to keep it in then passionately win the race against keeper to tap it though his legs at a tight angle. Our attackers are terrible.

Chilwell was at the heart of us doing so well early last season. He started getting in the crosses and getting in the box to score. That in turn showed James that it's OK to shoot and put a cross in without the fear of losing the ball. Suddenly we were top of the league. He got injured and that was the end of our season, James got injured as well and when he returned he had forgot what Chilwell had taught him.

Ben Chilwell has always been my man. Very intelligent he is and he has always been. I have always said Tuchel is the problem for Chelsae's sloppy nature. Tuchel need to pure and improve himself. Even players like Hakim Ziyech are very good and scoring players - just need good mindset. Jorginhor was good before but now he is weak and a spoiler and need to be dropped. What is needed is better training, good formulation and better recycling of the team. Chelsea should be the best team in premier league.

@@Pgs080 it's what guys don't realize. I'd easily convert Chilwell into a left wing forward..and leave Cucurella at wing back or Cucurella at LCB and Chilwell at wingback. We now have both wings firing..defense is okay,Kepa needs to come in..with Kovacic back and Auba, we'll beat teams for fan.

@@MBryn cant you read? I already said it chiwell was not match fit up until now to play full 90min he is still now fully in shape to play 90min when he is in form tuchel will try all things until then chelsea just support what we have.

What Tuchel said about Chilwell after the game really disappointed me. I understand maybe he isn’t fully fit, but he just won you a game with a great goal and assist. I worry Tuchel is picking Cucu just because he’s his new signing.

It seems Tuchel is in a dilemma as who to choose between Chilwell n Cucurela but it's easy bcoz Cucurela can play in midfield n since Kante is injured then Cucurela can play there since apart from Kovacic n Kante all our other midfielders are whack. Loftus, Galagher cannot handle the crucial midfield role. Chilwell takes the left back role while Cucurela moves to midfield n partner with Kovacic
