Diana is an absolute monster, what a shocking call. Dave, Forrest, this was a fantastic show and while current events have put a bit of a damper on things, I am still very glad to continue with the AxP with the quality represented here by the both of you.

Here's the thing, the Massacre at Ayyadieh? That she says was moral? Was seen as Immoral and horrific BY THE PEOPLE ALIVE AT THE TIME. In fact there was a significant number of people that believed a lot of King Richards subsiquent issues (whether failing to capture Jerusalem or being taken prisoner on his way home) was god's punishment for his crimes at Ayyadieh. So when the actual Medieval Christian Crusaders think something is horrible, but you're saying "Hey yeah that's fine," think about how fucked up you are.

3 Questions to answer before you go on the show: 1) Is the Earth flat? 2) Is it okay to own someone? (Edited) 3) Was it ever okay to kill people because they worship a different god or have no god? If you answered yes, don't call the show. We can't help you. Saves everyone time.

Although, slavery was okay because it was justified by the standards within a certain era. We do the same thing of justifying our standards based on our own setting. In fact, our society still follows the same slave dynamic towards animals since we exclude a variety of them from having any moral standing. I don’t think you can really say “slavery is always wrong” if you follow the standards of a society that condones slaughterhouses. Not to mention, buying commodities outsourced from countries practicing child labour. We are far from perfect, and I don’t think we can ever say that something can ever be wrong if we are going to be a bit hypocritical about it.

@@Godlimate you would know it was wrong just by asking the slaves. They would have always said it was wrong to buy and sell them like cattle. And the issue with biblical slavery is that believers say god is love and all loving, but his word clearly says he told his people they can buy humans and pass them to their children as property. A god of love and compassion and wisdom should have known better than to say you can buy people. That’s the issue. So no. It was never ok.

I flagged a video for electrical tips and hacks because they included several methods that would harm or kill someone. It's still running unedited because 2.7 million views.

They forgot to change the intro and had left the name of Matt Dillahunty as the host. AWKWARD!!! Not sure if anyone else noticed. That's why the video went private for some good time after the live show ended. Now it is correct.

Dave & Forrest, thank you for allllll you... please keep educating all of us, because of your hard work & my husband wisdom I am able to decipher alot of what I was force to believe as a child. I also want to thank Matt for his loving dedication to this truth and for 17 years of shining the light.

In my opinion Dave has risen to be one of my favorite hosts. He tries to keep the callers on track and is direct. Also has the ability to shorten responses. Thank you Dave I hope we have you around for a lot longer. Forrest, I think needs some work. Definitely a very intelligent individual and I love hearing his points. Unfortunately, I think the responses are too lengthy. He needs to get better at shortening his answers to callers because he seems to be lecturing, also cuts into Dave's responses sometimes. Overall great stuff, thank you ACA for the content.

I will truly miss Matt. He's been an invaluable contributor to this show but I absolutely support his decision and I really hope to see some great content from him going forward. That said, our hosts on The Atheist Experience are really awesome folks. I have no doubt guys like Forrest and Dave will do an amazing job. Keep up the great work guys!

Now for the 10 years I have listened Matt has really only been super curmudgeonly about 2-3 of those years. If you watch clips of the earlier shows he was always very measured and calm when speaking with the callers. I think this is pretty much eventual with anything that any of us do..familiarity breeds contempt. The way the ACA treated him is bullshit.

They did Matt wrong. Edit: I will still watch and support this channel, as well as Matt's. I just don't like how Matt was treated. I should have made that clear. Sorry.

Considering the issues that plague this world, either there has never been a true believer in Jesus or the people who are true believers in Jesus care fck all for other people. Otherwise, why has no believer solved cancer yet? Or a workable solution for people existing but not living under minimum wage? Or water shortages in Africa? For those of you wondering about the one issue that Matt mentioned in his video: If you look at the second page of the News section of the ACA website, you'll see a June 16th apology from the ACA for taking a call from someone who previously harassed, doxxed, and blackmailed a show host. What they mean is that on Talk Heathen, they took a caller who was KNOWN for harassing, doxxing, and blackmailing Arden. Arden was on the live chat during Matt's announcement to confirm that's what happened. Matt wanted that issue handled better and in a more full throated fashion than just an entry on the News section. The mgmt didn't even want an announcement of this issue during any of the shows. The issue that Matt has is with how he couldn't get even a satisfactory discussion on handling this issue. But you can get more details by listening to Matt's video on his channel. But his video doesn't get into the details of the incident itself, just on how the board handled it.

The only reason why I'm watching this episode is because of Dave. I'm going to meet Dave on October 12th, in Cincinnati and after that, I'm just going to banish the ACA after tonight. I have followed the AXP for about 15 years, and was sorry to hear about Matt's recent departure, and it saddens me greatly to hear the explanation that led to it. Thanks for all the great shows in the past, but it's time for me to go now too. - Bye!

Dave's words to David about getting further and further removed were very insightful and rung true to me. It's been almost 20 years since I finally gave up the mental gymnastics to hold on to some measure of faith, but it took a few years before the scare tactics of the religious stopped having an effect on me. Cosmic Skeptic and Genetically Modified Skeptic have also spoken about overcoming this fear of hell on their channels, and might be good resources for David.

What a fun show! Definitely had some fun callers!

I wish people would understand that Philosophical Arguments are ment to raise QUESTIONS, not ANSWERS. Hence why any time you hear a Philosophical argument you tend to have questions... Philosophy isn't evidence. Philosophy teaches critical thinking, close reading, clear writing, and logical analysis. Those things can be used to find Evidence, but do not replace evidence.

Heard how Matt was dismissed. Shameful, embarrassing and sad to learn how poorly this organization treats its members. Love the hosts and all that this show has done but clearly the suits and those behind the scenes think they know better than those who make it what it is. Thank you to those who truly care and want to make difference for the better, but with this move the show has cemented itself as out of touch and inept if not full blown incompetent. I won’t be returning but good luck to management trying to operate as you have been. It’s so clearly working out for you.

Glad I listened to this in the car, because I couldn't help but scream at some of these callers. I am astonished! Incredulous! How indoctrination can take over reason is incredible.

The Live Chat mods have those amongst them who are wretched. Some spreading horrible misinformation about trans people to others that delete any disagreement with their point. I refuse to participate because of that. They need better training of their mods. Cause ultimately whichever ones are the bad apples they reflect poorly upon the others, and cause real damaging harm to people. I don't say this lightly. I saw one mod literally abusing their power to create harm on an individual. Wish I had the means to record the live chat, cause the mods deleted all evidence of what happened. I watched it happen in real time. It disgusted me. Attacking a trans women fearing for her safety, and then eventually deleting the whole conversation. If you have to hide your actions you're likely in the wrong, regardless it's a horrible look. they need a public apology, and a statement of accountability actually being held. Not delete the person being attacked's comments.

@James Jungles attacked is possibly to strong a word. Her real safety concerns (irl) were being dismissed by a fellow live chatter and the mod joined in on the dismissal and then deleted her comments. I use attack because the women was left harmed by the experience, and as a fellow trans woman it was very triggering to witness. Rather than sympathy or empathy for her, they dismissed her real life safety concerns as not being important or real. This was especially upsetting as hate crimes against our community have been on a general rise for several years now. This same Mod repeated the same transphobic misinformation that sparked the whole Woodward incident. I don't have any more details than that as I didn't capture any screen shots etc of the incident as it happened.

Disagreeing or dismissing someone's claims in an internet forum is hardly an attack. And you can continue on with that narrative if you like, but it comes across as being overly dramatic and causes people like me to lose trust in you altogether.

The first ad break in this video showed me a 1:30m ad for a church 20 minutes from me that has“miracle services” on the first Saturday of each month. They claim to “cure” the dead, blind, “crippled” and amputees.

Diana's call was an absolute MESS, like holy crap, I hope she thinks about this for weeks and loses sleep over it because wow.

At least I came back to watch because I heard hes no longer in the show and what better replacement for an imperialist like Matt than a class ally like Forest. Great job, Forrest and Dave! Diana represents the kind of catholicism that scared me when I arrived to the US from Spain, 32 years ago (I already was an agnostic/atheist). She represents the radical, backwards branch of the church, at the level of what the Opus Dei does in Europe. Wow, this episode brought forward some brilliant minds.

These two are a great combination, each bringing their expertise in different areas to the table. Like everyone else I'm hoping we have Dave around for awhile, and love his outlook on life. Also hope Forrest hosts the show for a long time, but know that he might not have time in his schedule moving forward. I hope that's not the case.

The problem is that those callers that justify murder and slavery will NEVER break from that spell. It's so ingrained in them that the corrupted mind cant see how awful those ideals really are. It's so hate fueled. It's tragic and the chances of ever reaching that part of them to break that mindset is pretty unlikely.

​@@Jprimus It helps to understand just how brainwashed people can be. I am surrounded by self righteous Christians who say and do things that are obviously cruel to normal folks. My guess is that they have become malignant narcissists who feel entitled to retaliate (e.g. with vicious smear campaigns) if anyone just asks a question such as are you going to do what you just said you would do? I can see why Matt and others get so angry with destructive airheads like this.

Love both these guys but the higher-ups in the organization did Matt dirty.

To the last caller: YES there are people who throw their feces around. in 2008 I suffered a near-fatal hemorrhagic stroke which left me with hemiparesis of my left side. I spent half of my three months in hospitals in a rehab hospital. There was a patient on my floor that regularly had to be sedated because he would jump around his room throwing his poop at the walls and nurses. He was also racist asf and would verbally abuse one of the sweetest, compassionate nurses in the world just because she was black.

Those last three calls... I feel like I've been beaten over the head by solid stupidity. I hope Forrest releases part 2 of his series on evolution soon, so I can revitalise my brain.
