Diplomacy is a negotiation-based board game set during World War One. 7 players each control one great power (England, France, Germany, Austria, Italy, Russia, and Turkey) and fight for control of Europe, using their diplomatic skill to make covert deals with one another and to backstab their friends.

Great video! Italy's relations with France from like 03-05 were definitely the highlight of this game imo, managing to convince France to let them keep their stuff together in a fairly rough position and then being able to parlay that into a huge turnaround against Russia at the perfect time. Would love to know what some of those conversations looked like.
Been binging some of y'alls vids ever since seeing y'alls coverage of the valefisk match, and even got back into playing diplomacy online!

I live on a road with a hospital at the end of it, yes :D The Siren is the unofficial third DiploStrats commentator at this point
It is so nice to look at a game board without the video of people talking in it. Maybe I'm the only one or one of the few but I can't stand that. A small video image squeezed into one of the corners with the image of the people talking. It bothers me so much that I make sure I can't see that video image, either stacking up cigar boxes to shield it, or paper attached with tape from the top, hanging down, so I can't perceive that. Then also if the voices are not pleasant to listen to, it stops for me, I shut it down. Your voices are absolutely not distracting, and no squeezed video image with your talking heads, for which I say; "chapeau!!!"
