I've been away for a while so nice to come back and catch up on some of your meditative videos - time to observe and reflect is so important. Also, lovely to meet you in person at the photo show in Birmingham last month.

You are so right in this, observation is the core quality required for good photography. I was lucky enough to be an inquisitive child, encouraged by my parents to look at things in nature. A series of booklets called 'I-spy' helped with this, whether it was railways, birds or down on the farm they all made me look around. This was followed by 'Observers Books' many of which are still on my shelf. They stimulated an interest in flowers, geology and clouds! I draw on all of these in my photography today. Thanks for the video.

Aww - I love seeing the robin come and visit you in the hide. The leaves on the water images were stunning. I felt their gift of simplicity. Thanks for sharing Kim. It did make me want to get out into the bush and just be . . . . .Soon! Soon . . . . .

Nature is really beautiful. I'm in it everyday here in Australia & I sure would love the winter snow to photograph over your way. We really are blessed & yes, feel & listen to nature is being one with it.❤❤

Just found your channel (not sure how I’ve missed it for so long). I’m 75 years old and a photographer since 1972. I’ve always been interested in the connection between photography and emotional well-being. Your style and presentation is perfect for that connection. I’ve subscribed and look forward to future episodes as well as going back and enjoying all the previous ones. Keep up the good work.

Nice vlog Kim. Love the images of the oak leaves. There are some beautiful oaks around in that location. Made my laugh thou because there's no way I could take images like that because of the swans there as soon as they see me come over and say hello. The female flew right across the water from the other side yesterday and landed right in front of me. Priceless xx

I think you would really enjoy the books by Freeman Patterson. Photography and the Art of Seeing and Photography of Natural Things. They are older books but he really delves in depth into the subject of observation in photography.
