The Art of Dot Making (Stippling)
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Stippling is defined as something. In this video you'll find me rambling on about something else. Lots of little dots clumped together in different densities. From the beginning I didn't know what the density destiny was.

Did Peter actually make it all up? I'm confused
I hereby vote for the 60 hour stippling video, Peter. I promise that I would take breaks and not binge watch it.

J Warren I'd binge watch it, especially if he reads one of those stories while showing it.

I’d watch it, i dont need a voiceover or anything, just some soft music and him dotting on paper

I vote for 60 hours of voiceover as well.
For some reason, any work made with stippling is extremely satisfying for eyes to look at

@@vivaldirules Oh no...I'm a dot!!
Pointillism is the term I learned. I've only done a few portraits using this technique. It can be tedious but I enjoy tedium at times. I just love the freedom of your work, Peter.
A line is a DOT That went for a walk
At the end of the video, the piece looks like it was always meant to be that way even though you just made it up as you went. This is what amazes me about your drawings, every single time.
This is a wild introduction to your work, Peter. Exquisite. Thank you for this. It moved me.
Lmao. You're a riot, bro. (Paraphrasing) "In the 1800s, when dots were invented. Until that point(or dot!?), they were only using lines". Keep Draw'ring. You're inspiring and funny. It is always a pleasure to hear your commentary over your astounding works. Peace
I love the commentary that goes along with the video. It always intrigues me and makes the video much more interesting. Thank you Peter
Your drawings give me an old-timey feel and I really like it
I'm a simple man. I see a Peter Draws video, and I press the thumbs up button.
wow, this turned out amazing! saw you working on it on a stream. my favourite piece of yours so far! it has so much depth to it
That was a very satisfying video to watch. All of those dots coming out of the pen. A lovely bit of history too, I did not know the history of dots prior to watching this. Many years ago I took a class in high school geometry where we briefly covered dots but the teacher did not go into the intricate history of the origins of dots. Thanks Peter. You teach me something new almost every day.
Dots are amazing! If you look at the most realistic rendering techniques in computer graphics (path tracing, photon mapping, etc ...) they're in fact made with dots of light. In a way, dots is how the world is displayed to us!
YOU ARE THE BOB ROSS OF OUR TIME I LOVE YOUR WORK BROTHER HAPPY HOLIDAYS AND HAPPY NEW YEAR THIS CHANNEL DOES NOT GET ENOUGH RECOGNITION
I love how this piece turned out Peter, looks fantastic
Well done Sir! Have done a few stippling pieces myself and know the time involved and the breaks needed. Beautiful work!
Spot on
Wow....totally amazing job Peter...60 hours whew that's incredible!!! Keep up the great work..
A dazzling piece, peter! I could look at it for hours and hours
I did a portrait of my yellow lab, Sandy, using just dots. It turned out great.

My best art pieces are done with stippling ! Something about this art form feels really rewarding to me ... very time consuming but well worth the hastle 🤙
Your art is on a whole different level. love it! So inspiring and entertaining to me :)
Awesome work Peter
It’s beautiful!
great. need to try this again
This is beautiful!
I like the way that you exactly put into words what I’m thinking. I am a thinker and not a talker. My mind is 24/7 at work, but if you ask me, what are you thinking? Well, I can’t give you an answer, but watch the video’s from Peter Draws and you know it. Most of the time my thoughts doesn’t make any sense. Have a nice day, greetings from the Netherlands 🇳🇱
One of the best "how to" you have made. Inspires me to go make a drawing myself.
I found your art very inspiring! And I enjoy your narrative a lot :)
I'm so happy to see a new video of yours! xD
thats beautiful
I love stippling! Made some portraits of family and some stars. Have to play with the old pen and ink again since watching this video......
Awesome! Very helpful!
Awesome work Peter! This is a very interesting style of art, and your commentary always makes everything better. I'd love to see you make a video of drawing with only erasers. Maybe by taking graphite powder and smearing it all over a page, then using different types of erasers to create something from the darkness. Love your videos. Keep it up!
Phoo how do you even figure out where everything has to go and how do you make it look so balanced without even planning it....that's amazing. Good job person!
I love stippling! This is cool. I'm going to try this for myself. I love the language of art and the history lesson is beautiful.
I enjoyed following the birth of these dots on stream.
Great advice as usual. Slow and steady wins the race! 🐢
Really cool!
Peter..you seem to have on your left hand fingers what appears to be a chaotic bar code. It would be interesting to scan you and discover what product you really are today : )
Wow that's a huge piece. Must have taken him days to finish that piece. Great artwork Peter!
I love your random life lessons and art tips :) And the history of dots had me dying XD I love it
I love your work. Your narration is great. I just ordered one of your books off of Amazon, you should mention them more.
Nice amazing I like this technique.
OMGG!!!! Peter!...You totally blow my mind! This is is astoundingly beautiful, not to mention all of those tiny dots and all of that time spent making them. :) Truly Inspired! Have a wonderful Creative night tonight. I too am off to sleep, perchance to dream... Sleep well my Brother Night Owl! Namaste!
I didn't appreciate this channel at first but this video is quite useful.
This is even more intense than Yayoi Kusama’s work with dots because there is an extra layer of shapes. I’d like to experience this blown up the size of a billboard or a football field so my eyes could get lost in the dots up close, then zoom out with a drone.
That ended up being really good!
Masterpiece
AMAZING WONDERFUL LOVELY Thank you very much for inspiration 🙏🏻😍
I learned the process of color separation when I was a screen printer.i love dots people have no clue as the significance of dots.and how they play a role in our lives.
it turn out great
that is absolutely f*cking incredible!
The end of the age of the bone pusher downer and the start of the age of the thin wooden pusher downer. ahh yes those where good times.
Holy crap, that's amazing, and inspirational.
Fan bloodytastic love this channel
You are wonderfully instinctive as a teacher talented is an understatemenr
Now i wanna draw using this technique ✍🏽
I’d watch the 60 hours video in real time, just saying.. love you Doc ❤️ awesome work
You should try to do a mandala with only dots
Awesome video
this is really fucking amazing and breath taking. amazing. please please please do more 12/10 fantastic
Brilliant! Idk how you do this without guidelines.
Nice stippling!
PETER DOTS!!!
a god in stippling...
Now this...this guy gets the point
Peter, you should look at the works of Albin Brunovsky. He was a Slovak artist, and he had very detailed etchings. He used dots many times, and I think you would like his style!
This is the first time I enjoy history class.☺
God I love your work Peter

I was thinking about doing dot art today, then saw this video. Spooky. 😊
That is amazing
Nice.
thats pretty bad ass bro
Hey Peter, ever thought about tattooing? I would definitely let you doodle art on my body. Whenever you just draw with no plan in mind, it always comes out so good. It would be like a surprise tattoo😂

This one puts me to sleep real good.
I love stippling
Yes I could see it showing As you dotted Epic doodle,
I just realized I have never thought to wear undies on my hand. It's such a good idea.
You help me with my panic attacks
Jesus that is fucking amazing!
my hand hurts just watching this
i feel like you'd be so good at new yorker cartoons peter
I remember doing this in highschool, i made one of Bob Dylan... It looked really cool
Can we get a final dot count own this image?
Okay, I used some black magic to convert the time he spent on this big of a piece to a surface area per hour and it's about 2.5 square inches (or 16 cm2)! If you're aiming for the speed of a seasoned stippler, you don't have to go faster than that!
Can you post more overcoming artists block? I found a particular video very helpful
Brilliant work as always..do you sell??
Jeg så alt dette på stream og jeg likte det veldig godt! Jeg fikk til og med min egen prikk haha.
