Join Corin Tomlinson and Sean Smith as the discuss the aspects of traditional Japanese display at The Three Mountains Bonsai School. Sean Smith is a master craftsman who has studied Japanese arts and carpentry intensively and has subsequently used these skills to create an amazing rendition of tokonoma display.

    Can the feature bonsai tree be located on the other side? You have it on the right. The reason I ask, is that a bonsai has a front. ...if the directionally of the tree is OUTSIDE the display, that would feel awkward. The directionality of the tree displayed, is toward the left (pointing to the INSIDE of the display - as opposed to running away).
