There are other circumstances which his parents have had to go through, that viewers will never be aware of. Relationships with relatives and neighbors, aswell as social peers within her community has definitely been impacted and as a result of accepting her son's sexual preference, relationships have been strained. Social Status and how his mother is viewed has had a negative impact, the weight and position has been dampened, value dropped. Any aspirations of keeping the family name intact, are no longer probable. The future of the family will be embarking on a different avenue. Being a grandmother is no longer an option, well at least the not in the natural order. Keith could adopt, but she will not see the adopted as one of her own. Being in the public will affect her mentally and increase anxiety, knowing the public have knowledge about her son's sexual orientation.

Asians have a large network and it makes life easier when you can confirm that life is normal for you than having to listen to bs about how you raised your child. They will need time to adjust to their child’s preferences. And true love doesn’t mean you’re immediately accepting. I come from a South Asian family and I was recently forced to come out to my parents, something I was not planning on doing for a good few years. I'm 17 and a lesbian and when my parents found out, I was almost kicked out. A few months after the incident, my gayness has not been brought up, except for my dad to occasionally point out how "immoral" it is. I'm scared for my future, and I'm scared that I may never be able to be with who I fall in love with without losing my family in the process. I almost wasn't able to graduate high school because of this, and since my parents are paying for my college, I will have to wait until I'm financially independent to ever introduce them to a future partner. It's scary and it's utterly depressing, but it's the truth.

It gets better. I don't know where in the World you are but in the West, there are a lot of organizations for LGBTQ youth where you can find support. If you are in India, there are online communities. I am not in your shoes and I think you know best when it comes to cutting off your family, or not, temporarily or permanently. Either choice have downsides but since you are so young, I think, at least for now, that you should bite your time. If your parents are paying for university, then let them help you with that. It's much easier to go through it when there's no financial stressors. Plan for the future you want. You'll get there, you'll see. And that doesn't mean that you cannot be yourself. It just mean that at least for now, you might have to tolerate people that don't understand that this is not a choice and that in any case, that there's nothing wrong with being queer. Wishing you the very best. Take care.

Loved how Reeta deals with Urvi. She is definitely angry, but goes about not lashing out but trying to make Urvi feel bad. Gotta learn this kind of control on myself.

Btw, I am one of the victims and fell prey to Urvi Shah. After realizing her deceiving play I confronted her over the phone and eventually, she accepted her fault, however, she blamed her staff for doing it (I doubt if any staff ever existed in her so-called office). I just kept myself silent without posting it on any social media worrying the LGBTQ community and society as a whole may go back to the ages and consider gay love is an illusion and it can never exist. @ Urvi Shah, LGBTQ people are just coming out now to lead a complete life and breathe the fresh air. Please don't throw them back to the closets once again. You deserve no mercy.

I am so, so sorry this has happened to you. I can't imagine what it's like to be disowned simply for being who you are. My own child is non-binary, something we've known since early childhood, and I can't imagine not accepting them. To have someone then cheat you, using that vulnerability, it just staggers belief.

When I worked in fast food I remember shorting a customer out of two chicken nuggets from their happy meal because it was the end of the night and I was too lazy to cook more. It's been over 20 years since I've done that and it still bothers me to this day.. I don't know how these people pull off scams, especially with money and the elderly live with themselves. PS I made it up to her the next time I saw her, by giving her a free happy meal and a shake.. Neapolitan.

I was sold an expired product recently by a bitch ass store and they had charged me double the amount! When I complained about it, they denied the claims, says they don't have return/ refund policy! 😭 So I continued on with the complaints and what they did is fire back at me and straight up told me to go back to their store and take the money back! 🤦🏽‍♂️ such an insult!

Sad thing is India is FILLED with scammers of all sorts. Arresting a scammer in India is like asking a lion not to eat meat, while you are a lion yourself. There's really nothing to do. P.S.: Not everyone in India is a scammer (obviously), but a lot of people are. Just saying

The web development side of making a dating website is actually very easy and can be fully automated. The hard part is trying to populate that site and create a community round it. Its quite and easy business to start but getting the user base is the hard part in most cases.

But it's very possible she may have only successfully scammed like 60 people in a years the site was up... One month she gets some guy in the UK, the next month a girl in Australia, then another guy in India, then a Indian trans woman in Germany, and it was just like 🤷🏽... I'm Bengali. Next to India. We don't want to move to another country. Not all. Trust me. India is quite educated and content. They have even found a cure for the coronvirus. Like look here. You guys can't even spell and poor grammar whilst English is not out first language yet we do very well in education and our career. When I first came out, my mother was obviously disappointed and said it was just a phase. My sister said I was disgusting and going to hell. It’s nearly 6 years later. They both have become more accepting of it but i do get the occasional reminders of me going to hell from my sister. My mother doesn’t outright condemn it but doesn’t like talking of it and will avoid it. I’m afraid that when I do get married to another woman she will either not attend or put on a clearly fake smile. She won’t be genuinely happy for me.

I think it’s funny how people are saying how desperate they are for love and for people to open them up to love without doing the same. Why did he need to marry a Punjabi man to keep his culture. You’re 35 alone and looking to be set up through an arrange marriage in a culture that doesn’t accept gay people; and look to find people in the same culture. He can carry his culture alone and also learn another or teach somebody. But he was specific to a certain culture and ethnicity who doesn’t yet have that freedom and support to do so and he’s expecting to find it so quickly. His situation is sad, but not only has she made money off off of his vulnerability, but it was also off of his ignorance. Which I wish was questioned in the interview. I would like to know more about the scammer’s situation and why she felt she had to do it. Was this a desperate scam? What gave her the idea? I wish the interview had more on the scammer

They call telling them Amazon has detected suspicious charges and to negotiate you’ll need 2-400$ to avoid these thieves. You call and pretend to be with Microsoft or Apple, claim to be supporting orphans and need donations. Why do they do that ? Most of us don’t even know or have never done anything to anyone to scam . Urvi used to work in a customer service call center. She then went on to work in a scam call center. Seeing how much the scam call center takes in each month and how often it was being raided, Urvi decided to try her own scam with minimal risk of being shut down. It worked.....and continues to work. Her little international scam operation is too small for the authorities to concern themselves with. It's my understanding she has a few other similar websites now. A room in her new flat is dedicated to four separate scam websites. Each of the four walls is decorated to represent each of the scam websites, complete with a desk, computer, and fake files. Instead of a blank wall behind her as she sat on her bed or the sofa during prior video chats, she moved into a larger flat with a second bedroom. This physical change and her treating scamming as a business has been very profitable for her. So much so she is building a new home for herself. Western companies seeking cheap labor by outsourcing call centers to India created a massive network of tech savvy, English speaking young people. When these call centers began shutting down these young individuals had no job prospects. Many of them support their parents, younger siblings, and other family members. This surplus of eager workers and left over equipment allowed the scam call centers industry to establish itself and flourish. Unfortunately, the need to keep money flowing into the country and keeping these individuals working, legal or not, has meant the government was slow to respond to external pressure. Over the last decade these scammers continue to perfect their craft and expand the types of scams. As a result of the Indian governments failure to act quickly Westerns are cautious when they receive a call from someone with an Indian accent. India has been branded as a scam country. Therefore there will be no more legitimate call centers returning to India. It's a shame Western companies were so quick to abandon India.

@DOE John you are ridiculous, seriously. I don't like the way Trump represents us as a nation end the way he handles International Affairs as if they are schoolyard 2nd grade playground games and I don't like how pompous he can be. Oh and I did not love for him but you people who bring Trump into every situation and blame Trump for everything is going wrong I just find You Beautiful ridiculous and you're literally just as bad is the right-wing people showing up with their open carry licenses just so they can carry machine gun on their hip a town hall. You're literally just as bad. And the fact that it's impossible to live a life without doing something right and Trump has done a lot of things right but people like you will never admit it and that's why he's going to win again. He's going to win again because us that lean a little bit to the left can't stick together and we've made our party look like a bunch of fools who can't keep playing for anything and because we blame Trump for everything. It's been apathetic for years for people on the. David K - I too admire her for her self-awareness. It takes a lot of emotional bravery to say “I am just having a difficult time with this, but I love my son and am going to do my best” rather than “I AM RIGHT AND YOU ARE WRONG AND WE DISOWN YOU AND YOU WILL GO TO HELL!”. I have a feeling Keith’s mom is going to be dancing up a storm of joy at Keith’s eventual wedding!

That's really sad and fucked up that the woman is scamming people who just want to find a spouse. Someone should start a legit gay arranged marriage service.

The threshold of establishing a ‘company’ is quite low especially with ease of setting up a digital footprint. It’s quite easy to fall victim when you’re already vulnerable.
