i think the main reason people call the armored titan weak is because reiner isnt a fit warrior , he may possess the physical strength but didnt have the mental capacity to handle his responsibilities , the armored titans insane durability always gets overshadowed unfortunately

what you need to understand to compare them is that they are both punches with hardening the only reason reiner could take one is because of his hardening and if eren were to punch another shifter or titan with hardening on his fists it would do the same amount of damage

@@PucciBrandos first off the armored titans armor isnt 'hardenening' its the armored titans natural armor , the armored titan is shown to possess hardening abilities different from his pre existing armor scales ,the second point is no , reiners armor is not the only reason he can take erens hardened punches , reiner himself can punch as hard if not harder than eren due to him being much heavier , the armored titans punches would easily knock the attack titan out if its a direct hit whereas erens punches only manage to topple reiner over , the armored titan is just insanely durable

@@PucciBrandos ​ the show did a really sloppy job on showing the potential of the armored titan and in a way its justified because reiner is not built to be a warrior reiner is the reason the armored titan is considered weak , the wielder is at fault here not the titan itself the armored titan does not in any way lack in power just go to 3:28 , if eren so much as moves his hands out of the way , he is going to be absolutely totaled which is why the only thing he can do is block and hope to look for an opening not only that the armored titan has a lot more muscle mass than the attack thus making him a lot heavier and giving him an advantage as knocking him will be insanely difficult , just look at 5:59 reiner is literally playing with the attack titan like its a doll , the armored titan can also get insanely fast just look at 7:05 where eren didnt even have enough time to move when the armored was charging and again at 3:51 where despite having his skull smashed in , he effortlessly dodges erens punch (despite him being as u put it : slow) and tackles him to the floor, the attack titan in my opinion has the best use case in quick extraction type missions , it can deal a lot of damage really quick and the wielder can transform numerous times like how eren does in the liberio fight , the problem arises when the fight starts drawing out for a longer period of time where the armored titans insane strength and durability will overpower the attack titan

Armored titan is a beast. He's built like he eats gyms for for protein and can carry both the warhammer titan and the female on his biceps.

Cause reiner is going to be taking on basically an ancient godlike creature, the very thing that created the titans. And unlike the boulder it fights back.

The armoured is just a physical representation of Reiner's mental health during the show. Extremely strong and badass towards the beginning, and totally overwhelmed by the events towards the end. Like most characters in the show, Reiner and the armoured represented ideas and mindsets. Reiner is the armoured Titan because the character is literally wearing a psychological armour in the sense that he is acting as a strong person and warrior to cover his own weaknesses. However, as the show goes on, his armour gets shattered in a literal and psychological way. He is both, overcame by his true identity, as it is shown in its suicidal arc, as well as for the guilt of his actions, as he literally breaks down when Eren confronts him in the internment zone. All of this is represented by the anti-titan shells that can now pierce the titan's armour, as well as by how Eren's titan just shatters it with a punch. In season 4, we see a naked Reiner figuratively speaking, both in his psyche, as well as in his Titan. The armor doesn't work anymore. That's where his redemption arc begins. What a beautiful character development. The Armoured Titan is just magnificent in every way

What's really impressive isn't just the power of the armored titan itself but Reiner's own perseverance as acknowledged by Theo Magath. He was never a genius fighter like Annie or excelled at anything in particular. He simply became the wielder of the Armored Titan just because of Marcel wanting to spare his brother Porco of the same fate that befalls all Titan shifters eventually. Yet, for all his deficits, Reiner performed admirably despite what he had to face and endure. It is not just limited to enduring immense physical pain during battle and having the will to keep fighting in spite of it that we see countless times throughout AOT. Reiner endured A LOT psychologically. From the loss of Marco early on during their mission to being exposed to the horrors of war again and again starting from an young age. Seeing the "monster" Eldians that they were made to hate in Marley as humans just like them and then making them suffer no doubt took an immense toll on young Reiner when he broke through wall Maria. Even more when they had to betray the people they had become very close to as comrades and friends. We even see Reiner being pushed on the brink of suicide. Yet, he still managed to endure and soldier on. The immense durability of the armored titan is second to Reiner's own will of iron and that truly makes him the worthy wielder of the armored titan despite him only being chosen due to Marcel's actions. This is what makes Reiner such a good character in my eyes. He's flawed and human which makes him relatable along with further making one respect him for going through all that and not breaking entirely. That being said, the actual durability of the armored titan kinda felt underwhelming at times. Best example is the scene where Reiner uses an armored train as a shield against anti-titan rounds from medium to close range. Normally, these trains don't have more than 30-40mm armor if we are taking the example of those in World War 2 era (AOT is in early WW1 level of tech roughly with aviation being a bit underdeveloped). The fact that Reiner used it as a shield means that the Anti-Titan rounds were incapable of piercing the train's armor but would be able to pierce Reiner with ease. Even if we double the armor to 60-80mm, that still isn't very much. Not to mention the roof was aimed towards the direction of the guns which is usually not that armored compared to the sides. It really hammers home the idea that the advancement in weapons technology would slowly make titans obsolete in war, as the Marleyan military had discussed at one point. Mid to late WW2 tech could have made them obsolete if we are looking at how Marley uses them.

Yeah Reiner having to use a shield for his armored titan was intentionally symbolising how the titans' age is coming to an end, as technology makes them obsolete. Although I believe Reiner's armor is surely worth more than 20 mm of steel, I just feel like they let that little controversy slide in favor of the symbolism.

This really aged well lmao.We literally see every one of the Armored Titan’s feat being used in the final battle.Strength,speed,endurance,special abilities,hardening and so many more.

In 3:26, well the Armored Titans punches ARE devastating. The only reason why Eren's hardening was able to absorb some of the damage was because of the Warhammer's abilities infusing with his hardening. If Eren didnt had the Warhammer in the first place Reiner would totally crush his arms with every punches.

Yeah Eren didn't just grow plates on his arms, he actually hardened his entire forearm. He could do that before, but I don't think it was that strong. The warhammer definitely boosted his hardening

Warhammer Titan has the strongest hardening ability considering it can generate weapons or any destructive abilities that affects their surroundings. Also it’s toughness, when Eren was pummeling Lara on the ground the sounds of Eren’s punches were like steel plates colliding.

people say its weak because its armour gets worse with the invention of thunder spears, which is a fair point, however the same goes for literally any of the other titans, any titan is weakened by the existance of thunder spears, in fact i think the armoured titan shows even more strength at their arrival. a single thunder spear could probably kill the jaw and cart titan, the attack and female would probably take around 2 or 3 to the nape but reiner takes at least 15 and is fine. just because he is weakened by thunder spears doesnt mean the other titans arent either

He took 25 in total and survived. He also brushed off a literal nuclear explosion right after and just went back to fighting. I agree with you, saying thunderspears make the armor useless is probably the most ignorant thing someone could say.

Completely agree. I'm baffled on why people keep saying the existence of stronger weapons makes the armor useless when the show literally shows how he can still tank hits that would be fatal to any other titan. The Thunderspears didn't make the Armored useless, it just made him actually vulnerable to the scouts.

5:43 the throwing feat of Reiner should be more impressive in terms of a strength feat than Zeke's. The Armored titan's strength was stated to be 8, while the Beast Titan's strength is stated to be 7. However, it is hard to exactly calculate how much force Reiner applied to throw titans at that distance since I don't think there is an official statement regarding how heavy titans are in general (I know they are lighter than humans per size but there is no exact numbers given iirc) But another good feat of Reiner was him spinning the Armored train in Season 4 episode 1. I calculated that feat, and it turns out that spinning the train is about 3 times harder than lifting the giant boulder Eren lifted in Season 1. And the Armored titan did it with one arm.

Yes the armored titan just spun the train around with relative ease, meanwhile the attack titan was pushing it's absolute limits. Eren said it he is not crushed only because he keeps regenerating. And if the train really is that heavy, then the armored titan is far, far stronger than the attack titan. Imagine you barely being able to lift a weight, only for someone to spin it around and throw it away with one arm. While his other arm is ripped off and he is critically injured.

I wouldn't say he can throw better than Zeke because Zeke has been throwing stuff his entire life basiclly, He may be able to throw larger objects but Zeke has better aim and damage output with his ranged attacks. In season 4P2 we saw how he destroyed Reiner with the rocks, in the manga version u could see how it took off some of his limbs to. We also know his ranged attacks cover a large area because when he was decimating the scouts behind those buildings u could see the spread of how far they go.

Yeah his throwing is obviously superior to Reiner's, regarding damage and precision. He can throw stuff with the speed of sound actually as it was seen in season 3 part 2. The armored titan can move more mass, but not better at all. The armored titan is purely close range. Exact opposite of Zeke's beast titan

As mentioned in S4 iirc Zeke's Beast titan's long arms help him throw objects better supposedly so that might be why Zeke throws stuff better than Reiner, despite the strength gap. Still I was just trying to make a point, since I find so many ppl wanking the Beast titan and lowballing the Armored titan. I mean the Armored titan should be able to replicate the beast titan's feats at least to a bit lesser degree and obviously has much better close combat abilites so I just get frustrated when ppl do that.

I fucking love reiner for how utterly cool he is, you can feel the weight of all of his movements, the sheer power in all of his attacks, the mechanized noises he makes, and having the coolest design I've ever seen for a titan and gundams love child, like seriously, every time the armored titan is on screen you know shit is about to get real.

I feel like its abilities were limited to the user. Remember how Reiner re shaped his armor into claws to climb the wall. What if he could reshape to form a blade or even like what eren did. Focus all the armor into gauntlets and he sheds his armor for more speed or make lighter armor. Remember that time hi transformed and his armor looked light. I feel like if reiner train more on its abilities he'd be a serious monster

i think shaping hardening is very limited to non warhammer shifters , the max they could do is re-inforce their armor forging a weapon out of hardening is a completely different story and as we have seen only the warhammer posseses that ability , as to the gauntlet question , i dont really think thats necessary because reiner already has armor plating on his arms which were already powerful enough to keep the attack titan on the retreat , overall i think reiners is more at fault for under-using his titans potential

Allright, i have the education of a physioterapist and a personal trainer, so here is why in my opinion the armored titan is ridiculously athletic: we know three types of strength: explosive, repetitive and strength endurance. reiner has ran for hours straight in titan form. endurance check. he has repeatedly just overpowered eren and lifted him over his head and off the ground with ONE ARM. repetitve strength,checcck. and for his BIGGEST ATTRIBUTE, his EXPLOSIVE strength. He has crazy both cyclical (sprinting) and noncyclical (Throwing, punching) explosive movement. his biggest feats are in my opinion: LAUNCHING EREN at least 3 times his length in distance and 1 in height with that one right straight punch. second is PUNCHING THE GROUND SO HARD IT FORMED A CRATER and split the earth without even damaging his hand. third is obviously THROWING A 15 CLASS TITAN a LONG DISTANCE with 1 ARM. the only reason why the author had to nerf reiner in skill and make him not use hardening when fighting is so eren could stand a chance. Idc what anyone says, the Armored is not only not slow, its FREAKISHLY fast in both sprints and single twitch movements. couple that with being HEAVY AS SHIT and imagine a heavyweight punching with the swing speed of a fast middleweight. oh wait thats fucking francis ngannou. if eren didnt have plot armor reiner would cave his head in every time they fought. sorry for the rant ive been holding it in for years.

I'm happy you wrote this comment, because now I actually know for a fact, that the armored titan is simply a better attack titan. If both titans had identical users, the armored titan would undoubtedly be better. People are still running around screaming the attack titan is the best, meanwhile the armored titan surpasses it in literally everything. Eren never won because he was better, he only won because he had help. And even then it was very difficult.

@@astral_editor i assume attack titan is better in endurance since less mass requires less strength to move around, but when everyone can run for 4h it really doesnt make a difference. The fundamental roles of the titans are different, the armored is meant for purely combat while the attack titans purpose is to catch glimpses of his future and past users, having a unique way to change the world through knowledge. So i dont think the armored is just a better attack but in combat the armored pretty much just mauls the attack titan

I think people are forgetting that the only reason why the armoured Titan keeps getting his ass beat is because Reiner wasn’t actually meant to be the armoured, Porco was and the only reason he was the armoured was due to Marcel (Porco’s older brother) being protective and changing the results.

If you understand the concept of armored titan, he is built like a tank. And every tank, like in real life, has its weak spot and can be penetrated, no matter how thick the armor is. However, the concept of being armored is a sufficient deterrent to any strong attacker, giving you time and space to think of a good counter measure. This is why pangolins, tortoises and armordillos have relatively few predators despite being able to be killed with right tactics. The idea is that having some armor is better than no armor at all. In war, many soldiers still wear bulletproof vests for extra protection even though many rifle rounds are armor piercing. To put it simply, it is better to have "hard" body (has armor) than a "soft" body (no armor). And this concept is still so relevant today.

The colossal titan even got shredded in the last episode of Season 4 Part 2's final episode by the battleships, so your point at 2:02 is definitely true. My thoughts are exactly the same as yours but some people just don't get it

If reiner had practiced hand-to-hand combat, achieved the armored titan's full potential and maybe even drank the hardening stuff that eren drank or practiced that ability enough, he'd devastate every titan except the colossal

Eren always had help and people forget that Eren drank the Armored Serum which only until then was able to harden and he even says when he hits Reiner he uses all the hardening power into his hands so Eren literally could use the material as the Armored which is the only way he could hurt Reiner along with the War Hammer titan. Things would've gone alot differently if Eren never took The Armoured Titans Serum. The Armoured Serum was later on shown in bottles and it seem they experimented even with other Titans Serums which explain how easily Falco took Zekes serum from somewhere then ate Porco becoming a Hybrid. Even with all of that Eren never defeated Reiner 1v1 never.

I mean, I don’t think much people think the armored titan isn’t good. They just know that Reiner is weak minded and that’s why he couldn’t use his abilities to the fullest. Reiner is a great character, he just has some serious mental issues. If he didn’t, he would’ve been unstoppable. TBH, in the finale he was going ham on the past users when he was on Eren’s back. That was a taste of how amazing Reiner actuality is.

Fun fact:Reiners tackle is so strong that even his plating cant handle it

Everyone is always so quick to point out how his “plot armor” protects him even though he always loses though no one thinks that maybe it’s because the characters he does fight have the plot armor.

1:50 the caliber for these pre dreadnought ships is around 9.4in and 11in if i could tell which class it was based on i could say it more accuratly

And the fact that Reiner wasn’t even soppose to have the armored titan but another person whos more fit would which would’ve made the potential clear.

I'm glad someone else noticed Reiner's growing back really fast in season 2, I saw it but no one ever talked about it, also when it comes down to what makes the nine titans special the Armored got one of the shorter straws, the Attack Titan can see the future, and the Colossal is a nuke, like bruh, btw I think the Armored Titan can strengthen its Armor, Eren could break the Jaws face with like five good hits and the Jaws Jaw could break the Warhammers crystal egg which is the hardest thing in the show so far and Marley said the Jaw could break anything with a one bite, and it took two hits for the Armor to break when it took one in season 3

I also think Armored Titan is greatly underrated. I remember how Eren whooped Reiner's ass so badly in Final Season, but imo it didn't change the fact that Reiner was a tough opponent for him.

3:37, he didnt evade because of the power, he did it for the counter that came immediately after, reiners weakness is he puts too much power in to his punches and leaves himself wide open with his primitive stance.

I don't get how could anyone think the armored is weak. Reiner literally got his head blown to pieces, yet he managed to move so he can survive a nuke while healing.

Reiner is like an oversized cockroach with insane strength. Literally nothing can kill that guy. I bet if he went to slow down the colossal titans instead of Hungie so the crew can get the plane to lift off; he would of survived.

If you think about it, the biggest strength of those colossal titans is their weight, durability and temperature. Obviously the heat is not a problem, neither is durability, because killing them is not the objective. I have no idea how heavy is a colossal titan, it's definitely too heavy to lift for the Armored titan, but I don't know if being stepped on would kill Reiner in his titan form. If he can charge at their legs he could maybe knock them down for some time. So if he can avoid being crushed, he survives.

Armored and Warhammer is always been one of the strongest titans and very versatile. The problem is its user. Eren's will and emotion make him not a physical monster. But a suitable brain for a walking mass destruction weapon.

If the curse of ymir existed, I would like to get the Warhammer titan because of it's versitility. As long as the user knows how something is made, it can create anything.

In my opinion, the true strength of the titans doesn't lie just in the titan's abilities, but how one uses them. Reiner is a bad example, he had no skill or talent as soldier, and was never meant to have the Armored Titan in the first place if it weren't for Marcel. As shown, there are far more abilities that the Armored Titan has that has never exactly been stated in the show, only shown at certain rare moments. For instance, the transfer of Reiner's conciseness from his brain to the rest of his nervous system, and from his brain to the rest of his titan body to save himself from certain death. This is an ability that has never been seen in any other titan shifter, other than possibly the founding titan. Other instances is where it can harden its fingertips into sharp claws for climbing, shedding its armor for more speed, and naturally healing said armor. these abilities that we already know would already make the Armored Titan more formidable than it already is under Reiner's hands if they were used by a better skilled user that used these abilities strategically, much like Eren and Annie have with their hardening abilities. Eren's hardening ability is at its most strongest in concentrated areas, this principle might also apply the same with Annie, since she used her hardening at specific locations in her body and we extremely durable against eren's own attacks. If the Armored Titan is capable of controlling its own level of hardening as well, it could be capable of concentrating its hardening at specific locations of its armor to increase the plate's durability just like Eren and Annie, yet since it is said it specializes in self-hardening, it could probably take this to a great affect, making more portions of its armor stronger than ever and make it capable of enduring far greater attacks. With the armor's current level of strength, where it was invulnerable to most conventional weaponry to the point that some weapons needed to be designed to counter the titan, such as Thunder spears and Anti-Titan artillery. With concentrated hardening, it could be stronger to the point it can take more damage from Eren's hardened fists and more shots from Anti-Titan artillery, this already would give the titan a far greater advantage in battle against both humans and titans. It might even take more thunder spears to completely destroy the armor around its nape it this is the case, resulting in more thunder spears needing to be used in order to defeat it. Eren's skill in hand to hand combat was one of the dominating factors in his fight against both Reiner and Porco, it is because of Annie's skill and smart utilization of her titan abilities is why she was able to destroy Eren in both of their fights, and it is because of Reiner's fighting style and his method of brute force rather than skill is what led him to having difficulty in fights when his enemies start using their heads. Yet despite that, Reiner was still an opponent worthy of trouble to Eren, not because of his titan abilities, but because of his willpower, or whats left of it in order to protect his family. With Reiner's current abilities and endurance, combined with actual skill and strategy, he would've been a far deadlier opponent, probably around Eren's level, maybe close to Annie's. Sadly, we will never know, for Reiner was never meant to be a soldier, nor a warrior, and by the end of the series he pretty much has lost his will to live, which probably has a great disastrous effect on his regeneration and the strength of his titan and its armor. He still had great willpower in the fight, but it is a shell of what it once was, for it was out a sense of duty, where one is not allowed to rest despite his pain and grief, all in order to continue fighting for what he used to believe in, what he currently believes in, and for his family that he still has back at home.

Honestly I doubt the armored titan would have been a extremely good hand to hand combat fighter even if it was in some very skilled Martial artist because the armored titan lacks agility and flexibility which is necessary to perform high skill moves Even if you remove some pieces of Armor from the joints it would still quite difficult to move properly as your almost 80%of body is covered with hard armour In the show it is shown that the armored titan can only remove some armor from his joints to increase mobility but still if he wanna fully increase his mobility he still need to remove his armour almost his whole body just look at his body it's still fully covered with Armor unlike attack titan and female titan Also this lack of mobility also reduces his speed and stamina The armoured titan is most likely to tire out faster than attack and female titan But in a sprint I will say the armored can defeat both female and attack titan imo cause look at the scene where he was going to breach the wall he was fast af

Great video I think the armored isn't weak its just that the deserving person didn't get hold of it although Reiner becomes stronger at the end as we see in the final episode

Lets also not mention how it took 2 teams with heavily armed soldiers which were extremely well trained to defeat the armored titan whilst the beast took only one soldier, a charge with unexperienced rookies and the madlad erwin himself, sure, the soldier in question was humanity's strongest soldier, but still. Lets not even talk about the colossal, it took one squad with a failed attempt of blowing it away and, well, only Eren as a human and Armin's intelligence, not trying to underestimate those other scouts who fought the beast and colossal, but jesus, i highly doubt they could tank the spears like reiner did and get up fighting as fast as reiner did, honestly, i think they would've both died before even thinking about healing back into fighting. I'm not even gonna get started with the jaw and cart titan, they just don't seem to even be a fair compare to the armored, i'm gonna leave this comment giving a friendly reminder that the armored was the only one still able to stand his ground against Eren at his peak, which was one of the most, if not, the most skilled fighter shifter at the time. The female is a bit debatable, though i think it's speed and versatility among the hardening ability could be trouble depending on the shifter, the warhammer i would say kind of the same, except the speed part.

One more incredible titan was Porco's Jaw Titan. Eren had 0 chance to even survive against him alone. He would have been ripped apart.

@@astral_editor I think that was more of Eren studying Porco's fighting style, he didn't have too many experiences with the jaw titan so he probably assumed that being careless whilst fighting it could be dangerous. He does say himself after almost getting sliced into pieces "so this is the power of the jaw, now i understand". Also, after watching mikasa pierce through it's skin with ease using just odm blades made him believe that it's skin was a lot vulnerable, hence why he felt comfortable enough to try removing Porco's arms later on, and then bash his head against the ground many times searching for a weak spot on the jaw, and he found it, the jaw titan can't do much but fly(kinda funny considering that we're not talking about Falco's in this case, but still LOL) after getting a hook to the side of the jaw.

armored for the win here. I ever wondered why the first fight in season two between reiner and eren was so ´close´ but i think the more u think about it, the more it makes sense. Eren had used his titan a few days before the fight and was very prepared for the fight (even not it doeset matter) reier on the other havent used his titan for 5 years and was maybe a littelbit rusty, anyways he domiated the fight on the first half. next point is, that reiner and berthold planed a trap (the colossal falling from the wall) and u could assume that reiner wanted to give eren the feeling of victory so both (reiner and eren) would be traped for the colossals attack. Another point is that reiner had his own conflict in his head and was probably flooded with egativ feelings ad disbelieve, what makes it even harder for him to really put all effort in the fight. I think also that the armored titan would easily defeated eren there with both arms but he didnt regeerate beacuse he needed his stamina to run away from the wall, so he waited passionate for bertholds attack. Why he lost his arm in the first place i would try to explain with simple suprise by eren after reier accidentaly underristimated eres power. btw sorry for all these gramtic errors, i just wanted to shre my opinion REALLY quick

Armored is absolute unit, the problem is Reiner himself. Not only is he less skilled than Eren but he also isn't in a mentally good state, he could have finished s2 fight and won in 15 seconds if he finished downed Eren instead of slowly making his way to him and letting him heal, Eren wouldn't have made such a mistake

Reiner was only using brute force in their first fight, though I agree if he used a bit of combinations to fully incapacitate Eren's Titan he would've won but he was holding back and doesn't want to kill him but to capture. Sadly for the plot we weren't able to see Reiner's full potential but it's kind of realistic that he's suffering in ptsd and depression after s3. Screw these diehard Eren fanboys, I love Eren but I just don't see the hype and they're praising a sociopath.

My ranking of the 9 titans from strongest too weakest, or who I personally believe is naturally stronger than the other, and I'm not gonna mention specific shifters, just the titans themselves and what they have from the get go 1- Founding Titan 2- Colossal Titan 3- Warhammer Titan 4- Jaw Titan 5- Armored Titan 6- Attack Titan 7- Female Titan 8- Beast Titan 9- Cart Titan The Beast can rank anywhere from 8th too 4th because of its unpredictability, its powers/traits are based on which animal type the current shifter holds, which makes it difficult too rank individually because naturally it doesn't have a set kit, unless you're talking about Zeke alone, Zeke made his Beast Titan what it is. The Female and Attack Titan are interchangeable in their placements of 7th and 6th because they're both pretty similar, the only thing that really ups the Female Titan is its special trait too mimic the other abilities of the other 8 shifters, however it is a bit unclear so I interpret that once someone becomes a shifter they're not going too immediately know their special trait unless its obvious like the Colossal, Armored, Cart, Jaw, or Warhammer, just look at Eren, he didn't know about the Attack Titans special trait until he kissed Historia's hand and The Owl knew a bit about the Attack Titan (probably from past memories) but even he didn't exclaim that the Attack Titan can see into the future memories of its inheritors, so most likely I don't believe every Female Titan throughout history knew of its secret power. The Armored just has an edge against most of the 9 naturally, because of its armor which can only be directly shattered by the hardening ability when it comes too titan v titan combat, just look at how much of an edge Eren gained after he ingested the fluid from that bottle labeled "armor" but also keep in mind, every shifter does not have that hardening ability so all of them are still on different playing fields. The reason why I have the Jaw Titan in 4th and above the Armored is because of its small size (it's only downside apart from defense), because it is small and the fastest of them all it can catch the others off guard, and it's jaws are powerful enough too crush through the Warhammers hardened cocoon, making it naturally strong enough too bite through the Armored's armor, yes it is small but because of its agility and speed greater than that of the Female, alongside with it's offensive capabilities is why I place it above the others, the fastest titan with incredible agility alongside jaws and claws that can crush pretty much most of if not anything is insane, what it lacks in defense and size make up for it in its incredible speed, agility, and offense, the positives outweigh the negatives with this titan.

We see Marcel's and Porco's Jaw resemble the Ancient Jaw titans, which means the hardened mask and claws are the basis of a Jaw titan. Ymir's jaw looked the way it did because of how long she spent in her Pure Titan form. Falco's is because he ingested wine infused with Zeke's spinal fluid when he was hit in the head with a wine bottle, so he got a little bit of Beast Titan in his Jaw.

I think I'll place armored ahead of jaw, cart and female. Would definitely be above attack if it couldnt see the future. I never noticed how his hand got destroyed in that reveal, this incredible show has so much attention to detail! Great video man 👍💪

People say Reiner is weak and a bad Titan shifter but for starters Physically Reiner is one of the strongest characters Whilst in human form he lifted a Titan and threw it out a window, Also In his fights he always gets Put up against the Best and most talented Titan shifters Such as Eren and Zeke who is stated to be the one who made the beast Titan so powerful also people saying he is bad warrior remember he got 2nd Highest ranked cadet though Annie was better and Berthold might have been But they didn't try as hard But regardless he still definitively Scored higher than Eren, Jean, Sasha, Conny , Marco and Historia . Like dude Is Strong compare to your average aot Scout . And is probably Stronger than Pieck and Porco during Season 4 as Reiner is the main Opponent For Eren Whilst Eren More just saw Porco as an annoyance and just swat him aside

Well after watching the whole AOT i can easily say he is the strongest by raw strength If Reiner had the will to fight he can literally dominate the whole AOT titan shifter If Reiner learn fighting skill eren will be already dead by season 2

People need to remember that the whole reason the Armored Titan took the majority of its L's was because of Reiner. As literally almost every other Warrior has said, Reiner wasn't meant to be the Armored. If Porco had gotten the Armored as originally planned, I feel like every fight against Eren before he got the Serum would've been a complete wipe. Even then, Reiner being able to hold his ground against the Attack Titan, Founding Titan, and Warhammer all in one, just shows how strong the Armored is, even with an imperfect user.

Wow thanks! 😄 The sad truth is the algorithm recommends high effort videos just as much as low effort and low quality content. There are some occasional growths. The viewcount of videos is very, very inconsistent. There are some periods of time when a video or two gets recommended far more to viewers. That's what's happening right now. Even though some videos are older than a year. It's super unpredictable, but my channel actually grew in the past days by dozens of subs.

I'm not being biased at all here (I am) but Armored titan is my favourite the same as it's owner. Aside of Reiner's character, his physique and strength in a human form give awesome results in his titan form. You could say it's opposite direction, but knowing, how his father looked like, I'm sure that Reiner is a big strong boy by nature. My point is, that titan's powers and abilities are in a big part dependent of it's owner's. Like Annie's matrial arts worked well with Female titan, Zeke's baseball skills with Beast or Porco being a bully with his Jaw (someone even mentioned that Ymir didn't use it as good as him). Same with Attack titan. Just compare Eren to Grisha. Different owners = different titan results. Even Reiner himself, when depressed as hell and wanted to "just die" made his titan not only looking different but being a lot weaker (Eren basically finished him with one punch). So yeah, I sign with both hands under the "Armored titan is the best" statement. But with addition "because Reiner is the best" (:

To be fair the armor titan did became a little outdated when they introduced the anit titan cannons in season 4 episode 1, if memory serves me right it took about 3-4 shots to mess his arm up and Reiner noticed that. I don’t doubt that the armor titan isn’t powerful, it’s just Reiner got screwed because warfare was advancing. That’s my personal opinion though, I do enjoy the armor titan and Reiner has a cool design for his titan

He has armor for a reason though. It isn't really luck, he can just simply survive that. Luck isn't really a factor in such a scenario, because taking an explosion in your face can't be influenced by luck, but it can be survived if the user/titan is tough enough to take it.

The 6th one, I think animators just forgot how eren shifted in his hand. Or maybe time just passed by with eren still on the ground, because he could have regenerated that arm again when eren broke it by pulling it out. But I agree armored titan is like a top tier titan

I said it in the video, Reiner most likely didn't want to heal his arm, because it would have taken longer than it would take for the fight to end. Also the animators couldn't have made a mistake. They were using the manga as a template, this had to have happened in the manga too. If it was a mistake in the manga, the anime would have corrected it.

Also you have to remember each different person has a different titan build, for example: some armored titans of the past had dragon like scale as armor. This would mean that there are no weak spots on the whole body, Also he should be able to put more armor on his nape if he wanted to

Yes he just can't decide what's right to do anymore. We know a shifters mentality can alter the abilities they have. (Like Reiner not healing when he was suicidal) I'm sure it affects the titan itself too. That would explain why Eren is so strong. He has the perfect mindset for the Attack titan. Armin and Bertholdt have the calmness and good decision making for the Colossal titan. I wonder if Reiner was a very confident person who has unwavering faith in his cause (his motivation normally is protecting Gabi and Falco), would his titan be stronger. Because if it would be, the Armored titan has great potential

I think it’s actually the best titan for him. If someone like Annie got the Armored Titan, she wouldn’t be able to do any of the crucial Martial Arts techniques she used to destroy Eren in the giant tree forest. While Reiner wouldn’t suffer that loss because he never had any martial arts skills. And The Armored Titan is proven to be incompatible with such anyway. With the armored titan’s strength being its tanky characteristics, (low mobility, tremendous power to push through obstacles) Reiner with his implied humungous brute strength is the best fit. The Armored Titan is incapable of pulling off karate techniques with it’s body, because the range of motion is heavily restricted by the armor. Or even the titan’s physiology itself, since it’s flesh seems to be tougher than average, and mobility could have been sacrficed for that(notice how the skinless titans like the colossal and armored aren’t the best at moving, but are always the toughest to damage) it can only rely on it’s strength.

I mean Reiner is still a fighter after all, he’s ranked top 2 in the cadet corps for being the best in hand to hand combat and he taught Eren how to wrestle as well. For my point of view, Reiner is a brawler/wrestler because you see how he fights; throwing punches or grabbing his enemies if he wants to switch his style. Let’s take the fight in s3 part 2 for example, Reiner was going full brawler mode but Eren was able to adapt to his fighting nature until Reiner manages to grab him and slamming him through one of the buildings. And then in their fight in s4 part 2, Reiner using every boxing skills he has in his repertoire to overpower Eren in the mid part of the fight since we didnt see much of their fight in the first part (all we see was Reiner getting shoulder rammed by Eren then a few buildings collapsing because of the two fighting so I assumed Reiner was going all out on this fight.) but since Eren has the Warhammer, his hardening is strong enough to absorb Reiner’s punches which is still powerful because it was pushing him back with every punches until Eren leans on the left side to parry Reiner’s right cross. Even though Eren manages to punch him twice, Reiner dodged the third punch and spears him. So I wouldn’t say Reiner can’t fight, it’s just that Eren adapts to his opponent’s fighting nature and style to keep up with them. Reiner on the other hand finds a way to counter his opponents but in a different way since he’s tougher than Eren. Can’t really underestimate Reiner, even if he’s depressed he managed to make Eren struggle due to his experience and brute strength alone.

Rainier was weak because the guiltless that was consuming him from inside that made the armored titan to loose tons of battle but I think this titan is very strong

i do think this is a powerful titan but once you have the right weapons it's screwed because it's armor than is more of a disadvantage because it slows it down but otherwise it's almost impossible (btw i get at 1:25 that you're trying to say it's very durable but that was anti-titan artillery which had even blown off Reiners arm so it's not really faire to compare him to that.)

I actually kindled this titan,s appearance at a game collaboration. But after watching attack on titan. I dedicated my mind for this legendary titan. The armored titan ,"the shield of humanity". My mind always doing a rebel against the stupidity of the fanboys of the attack titan.

I always wondered how the user's mentality affects the titan itself. It definitely does, I think that's a good reason why Eren is so good with the attack titan. His mentality of going forward matches with the titan very well.

They can hardening their fingers for wall climbing or hit, imagine what reiner could achieve if he would do the same thing to his armor plates, literally tank everything.

The only reason he could use extra hardening on his fingers and toes was because it was a small area, the reason all of his armor isn't hardened to the maximum is because its already way too spread out, eren compares it to breaking through thin ice in S3 i think.

I am not sure if I am wrong, but isn't reiner's armor just some normal body part to his titan? The only impediment of it is that it's heavy, and that's all. Hardening it is the real deal. Only going for the tip of some areas should be enough like for his jaw, head. I mean the areas that are more targeted.

Hanji effectively killed colossal titans with one thunder spear to the nape. Reiner takes 12 and makes out alive.

I love the vid And i think the jaw titan is the titan with the worst luck in combat It charges face front at it's opponents because of it's animal like design making it easier to pummel his face and it doesn't help that he has a large head so even with bad accuracy you can still land a hit Also the fact that other titans are around it's caliber of strength, doesn't help it's case because the reason why a tiger dominates a human in a fight isn't because it is a better fighter than a human but because it just overpowers a human in physical strength therefore a human punching the tiger would do absolutely nothing But in the jaws case it lacks that outstanding strength against other titans who are able to throw hands and defend effectively

kinda wanted to answer the question at the end of this great vid: the titan i'd choose would probably be either the jaw titan or the armoured titan since they are one of the more useful titans not being fully combat based what with the armoured titans defense and the jaw titans speed and (in gallidants case) mild defense on the face armor.

I really wish we could've seen the fight between Reiner and Zeke when they were still on Paradis and Reiner wanted too leave, I wonder how Zeke beat Reiner, so bad too the point of shattering the armor on his face, Zeke is very intelligent and mostly knows more about titans than anyone

He definitely used rocks seeing how the armor broke on Reiner's head. The holes on Reiner's shoulder indicate smaller rocks, maybe claws, but I doubt it. I think Zeke was keeping a safe distance all along and maybe later used his claws.

@@astral_editor The fight must've been close range at some point because if u look at Reiner's face it looks like it was punched, smillar to how Eren did it when he unlocked hardening because i dont think Zeke would have started the fight far away from Reiner but the first half of there fight must've been hand to hand and then once Reiner was beaten up by Zeke he finished him off with ranged attacks

Developers weakened the armored titan for story purposes otherwise the aot would end in s2 And I want to have armored titan it's the coolest and the most powerful

One argument relating to strength I always see is that Eren managed to lift the large boulder to seal the wall and that since we didn't see Reiner do it he couldn't do it. But the thing he already managed to break a similar chunk of stone as the boulder and totally shatter it by ramming into it, so it shows that Reiner's titan is much physically stronger than Eren's since one had problems lifting a specific amount of stone meanwhile the other just ran through a similar amount without any consequences.

if your on about wall maria, its because he ran full speed into it, not because of how strong he is, if Eren were to attempt the same thing he'd either fail miserably or be battered heavily, it was the armored plating which allowed it

For me Reiner’s biggest flaw and why he loses most of all his fights without support is his fighting style. Reiner tries to act like a fist fighter like Eren, but since his armor heavily slows him down along with his punches, he will have harder times connecting his punches to his target. Which is why his best fighting style he should use are wrestling techniques, not only will it improve his chances at winning fights it will also use the heavyweight of his Titan to his advantage. Just image your wrestling a dude with heavy armor platings, you 99% of the time will get knocked to the ground and with the weight of the armor it will be literally impossible to get back up. Which is why Wrestling Techniques are Reiners best move he could of used against his opponents to guarantee victory.

Sorry, but I'm not into making debate videos. They attract a lot of negative attention. Also it's incredibly hard to tell, the proof itself is quite often a matter of perspective.

The amored titans look is rlly cool i like it than attack titan but i still like the attack titan

Ok a nuclear explosion is very overly exaggerated as that blast that Berthold created is not even near a quarter of a nuke. If it was a nuke, it would have completely disintegrated Shiganshina District with the houses and everything and if not you would be blown away by high wind speeds and still would be burnt from the initial explosion.

Great video. Finally one of those few people who actually understand these cool feats of Armored Titan. However I disagree with "Nigh-immortality" at 7:53. It's not Reiner being tenacious as an Armored Titan shifter. He said that he managed to survive that piercing into the neck from Levi because he transported his whole mind into his remaining nervous system right before the hit, which helped him remain conscious and fully heal afterwards. I believe that it's thanks to his special training as a Warrior of Marley. I'm sorry if I'm being wrong here

Yeah maybe saying nigh-immortality was a bit over the top, but it is unpredictable and since we have never seen another user mention it at all, it might be unique to this titan, since it's meant to be super hard to kill. And I'm saying it's unpredictable, because if this ability is unique to the armored titan, then nobody knows about it, including Eren or any other titan shifter. Except other armored titan users obviously and probably commander Magath.

Plus armoured titan has one of the best designs

He is a F*cking beast crazy he could even resist machine gun bullets and the only way to beat it I think is to kill it when it’s a human

Literally Eren and his Attack Titan would have lost in every match against Reiner and his Armor Titan if it weren't for Eren with the entire Scout Regime or Mikasa, or Zeke defending him and helping him.

This is the second video I've seen recently talking about the Armored Titan's true strength, and I whole heartedly agree. The Armored is my favorite, and I'm growing a wee bit tired of all the Armored Titan slander. Yeah, it's armor has been broken time and time again, but just because it's armor breaks, that doesn't mean the titan is done yet. Even without the armor, it's capable of tanking so much more damage than any other titan power shown, even the Founder (The Armored Titan, while heavily damaged, tanked the Colossal nuke while the Founder blew to pieces). Just look at the scene where Annie and Reiner are being bombarded by thunder spears to protect the boat. Annie was missing an arm and her entire head, and Reiner was practically fine, minus some fatigue. I could make many more examples and points, but that would just be reiterating what you've already said. The Armored deserves some more respect for what it can do and I am happy to see it getting some more love

@astral_editor So, I misremembered the video, and when I went back to look for it in my watch history, it was another video by you, just showing moments of the Armored Titan being a badass. It had been a while since I saw it, which is probably why I misremembered it so much. My bad 😅 Still, you're putting out some great stuff about the Armored, and showing why it's not nearly as bad as most think it is
