I wish they did too. Have you seen my video on how to gravel vac? In most cases you should be able to avoid ever having to suck on the end of the hose to start the siphon. kzread.info/dash/bejne/fo2ql9BpkZubf7w.html

You know that water specially Dirty is hundred times worse than LITERALLY Licking a Public Toilet Seat.. Another tip to start is end of hose in buck put a turkey baster or large syringe on it then pull the plunger up fast and all the way apart it will suck up and flow :D

My husband did this the first time he tried vacuuming the gravel when I wasnt home... 😂😂 Laughed my ass off when I showed him how you can make it start siphoning without putting your mouth on it! 🤮
I wasn't sure I completely understood, so I went out and got my own educational props. I'm good now (and full).

Adam Till from Arctic Lights Aquatics yes I learned that I need m&m’s to cycle my tank. I love the process lol
Hey Cory. When your store recommended running my 55 with two sponge filters i was skeptical. They heard that my goal was to create a planted community tank. After five months, the water chemistry is so good that I have a hard time justifying water changes. My fish could not be happier as evident by the amount of offspring now swimming all over the tank. My plants grow like weeds and look amazing. I appreciate the great advice that I get from you and from your store team. Thank you!!

Holy cow, this was one of the easiest to understand explanation of the nitrogen cycle and how bacteria colonizes I have ever seen. Now I think I understand why my fishless cycle is taking forever. Along with the tank and decor, I have a canister filter and obviously my tank and decor bowl has not fill up yet and/or I have so much more room still in my canister filter bowl, thus the bacteria is taking longer to fully colonize and eat the added ammonia. I'm going to keep waiting, but now I think I understand. Thx for a great video and explanation.

😍 what a great way to remember!
Spot on with your analogies and making the topic really easy to digest 😆. This made the cycle process less daunting to deal with and answered so many questions I had. Thank you for putting time into your videos! We’ll be swinging by your shop again soon to say “hi” to Murphy!
I love the way you filmed this with the cards and stuff. I had no idea about the Nitrogen Cycle until I started watching videos like this and looking on forums. It was soo confusing but this really cleared it up! Many of my fish in the past have died mysteriously, and now I understand why they did. There was probably sooo much ammonia in the tank! I feel really bad now, but luckily I am planning to get a tank with a couple mollies, so I can retry.
This is the first Aquarium Co-Op video I ever watched and Cory did an amazing job explaining the nitrogen cycle.I was just about to give up so glad I found this video and became a better aquarium keeper an a Aquarium Co-Op fan for life.
Love your videos. You have filled a niche that helps so many aquarium hobbyists with your knowledge and practical tips. Looking forward to more species videos, either fish or plants. Keep up the great work !!!!
I don't know how many times I watched this video, and I am still watching it. For me, this is the single most influencing video to get me in the hobby. For this, I am forever grateful 🙏🙏
I've been looking on KZread for someone to explain this cycle to me so I can completely understand it, and you Sir, did that. THANK YOU!!!
Smashing video Cory. Helps visual learners like me. Learning is always fun. Just got into aquascaping and most of your videos re-assures me. Thanks and keep up the good deed!
Cory, this is amazing. Thank you soooooo much. This has answered so many questions as someone who is still fairly new to the hobby. This is a life saver 🙌🙏❤
The only video that made me understand that frickin' Nitrogen Cycle, made me subscribe on the spot! So nice of you considering us, visual learners! You're the best, man! Thanks!
I was telling my family about your superior video and my daughter wants me to explain it to her while using M & Ms over the weekend. :-))
Really great video!! I love the work you put into actually showing the process through the use of M&Ms! Thank you for sharing!

I’m just starting out with my first tank and your videos are helping me out so much! Thank you for making these videos which are easy to understand and are very helpful!
This is the single most important video for the new aquarist!!! Thank you Cory and all of the aquarium coop team that made this possible.
I'm about half way through the video, just finished the summary of the nitrogen cycle and wow it was made simple and understood, thank you so much for all your help and support with new aquarists 🙏👍😀
This video is so wholesome! Love coming back and watching these old videos, the channel has grown so much 💙
Thank you!!! Homeschooling family here. (I also love learning and enjoying nature!) I can not thank you enough for spreading your knowledge and passion. Your videos are personal and you're the teacher that says "there are no stupid questions" I can't thank you enough. I would have given up by now without your videos
You’re the best dude! You’re my go to for anything fish/aquarium I need to know. I appreciate the effort you put in so much. I’m basically going from only knowing fish need water to knowing everything like nitrogen cycle and a lot more so I can keep my fish and aquarium healthy and thriving!
Such an excellent tutorial, especially for a beginner like me. Really get a lot out of your videos, thank you!
Great video. I'll be sharing this with my brother and sister. I gave each of them aquariums a while back and this will far more informative than I was trying to explain it to them. Keep up the great work!
This was fantastic information so clearly and concisely put! Those M&M though were making me hungry!
I'm a beginner, and this video is great. I can say I had no idea about this subject and now I do! Thanks for putting this out there!
I’m a newbie in the tank world and this was very clear and concise and made me understand. Thanks man I truly appreciate it
I just wanted to say thank you; this is my to go to video to explain the Nitrogen cycle to a new fish owner. Also first video I actually understood what I was doing wrong with mine so thank you again.
that was awesome I was a bit confuced on what happens but now I'm all good so thank you for putting time and effort in doing this and I hope you enjoyed your m&ms
Finally an aquarium video, which explains 'everything' crystallized in a few sentences. Thank you !
This video actually helped me understand that a lot better, I'm planning to work at a fish store and now I know how to explain the nitrogen cycle to customers
dammit, now I want candy,
Best video I’ve seen about the cycle, you made it very simple to understand.
Thank-you so much! As a Fish Noob, who recently got a 5 gallon tank with some Guppies .. and being frequently unsure if things are good/not good, and using the wal-mart test strips to check if things are ok -- this video (and i've watched 5+ other ones on the nitrogen cycle now) really helped me truly understand what exactly is happening, and i can relax, as I also see my fish are just fine, and i've just been a bit paranoid. Thank-you so much for the excellent, very EASY visual explanation.
Thank you for making this video Corey!! I'm in the process of researching and setting up my first proper aquarium and this was really helpful in understanding quite how the nitrogen cycle works! It can be a little confusing to new fish keepers and having a visual (and probably very tasty) representation of this process makes it so easy to figure out!! Of all the things I've learnt from your channel so far I think this one will stick with me the most!! As always, I love your videos - I find them not only really helpful in planning and understanding what i will need for my tank but also really fun to watch! I'm always looking for aquarium related channels but yours is always by far my favourite! My boyfriend and I are planning a trip to the US (we live in the UK) and I'm really hoping we can come and see the shop for ourselves!! I'd love to meet you someday as i feel like I could have a really interesting conversation with you and pick up loads of great tips!! Again, thank you for taking the time to make this content as I'm sure its exhausting running the channel, running your store and keeping up with all the comments people like me leave on your videos! I think I can speak on behalf of many of your subscribers when i say, seeing the little notification that tells me you have uploaded a new video really brightens my day!

Awesome video Cory! I really enjoyed it! The candy really made a good visual.

You are a great teacher! Thank you so much!! Even though I feel I knew it before, it was great to see it broken down like this... DEFINITELY wish I had this video when I had started my research!
This video finally helped me understand it. Under-rated video, a must for any newbie! KUTGW.
I need a refresher since I just set up my new 40. Been a while since I last cycled a tank. So thank you man.
Wow! This was the best teaching video ever. Thank you for making this so easy to follow!! 😊
This is hands down the greatest video ever made for fish keepers. Anyone buying their first aquarium should be REQUIRED to watch this video!!! ❤Absolutely a staple in the hobby.
Hi thank you for explaining this, I now understand how the tank cycle works. Brilliant.
Thank you, very easy to understand. Probably the best starter video I have seen.
Thank you so much for your videos man, I've been keeping fish now for about 3 months and I've learned so much from you brother. Thank you!
Im so happy i found this channel. This makes things very clear.
I love your videos you've been extremely helpful and you're interesting to watch! Thank you!
I've learned so much from you , really makes the hobby easier and enjoyable
WOW! Five years ago, I spent over a year researching and fretting before I finally put my tank up and "cycled" it. Then waited another 6 months before I finally put fish in, I fed the water food every day! I was a wreck over the nitrogen cycle. I learned MORE in 17 minutes then I ever learned from the web! AND it was a whole lot more fun, please tell your wife thank you!!! Take good care of you and yours.
Awesome vid cory! Very helpful. Probably the best video I've seen on the Nitrogen Cycle!
This is such a wonderful and simple way to explain the nitrogen cycle! I'm totally going to use this visual to help explain it in my pecha kucha in my public speaking class.
I only recently got a water feature in my backyard and added 3 goldfish to it and am admittedly absolutely clueless as to how to maintain the best environment for them. This actually explained it to me in a way I could understand so THANK YOU!! I will definitely subscribe!!

Thanks Cory appreciate the information in that forum!
This was amazing... by far the best explanation! Should have more views!
Excellent video Cory. I would love it if you could do a video on maintaining healthy bacteria when you do a major overhaul on your tank. Especially when your filters are switched off for some time.
Great visual explanation! Thanks so much! Hope to see more visual explanations like this for our aquariums "for dummies"
Excellent explanation, thank you Cory! I think I will always think of the nitrogen cycle in terms of (how many) M&N's from now on!
What a Great video, this visual demonstration of the Nitrogen cycle shows us in a simple way the mysteries of the cycle itself, Many Thanks
Thank you! This video helped me so much with visualising the nitrogen cycle. Great video :)
Thank you for this explanation, it was very useful to help educate our 9 year old about the why's for caring for his new fish tank.
Thank you so much for this video. It has been very helpful.

Best visual ever! I so needed this
I love how he explained the difference between nitrite and nitrate while pronouncing same.
Absolutely fantastic video I've always been a little bit hazy about how the nitrogen cycle works now I know thank you very much I have slightly high nitrate in my tank now and I was getting extremely worried about it after watching this video I don't mind it's so much now as I have a heavily planted tank so the plants and the bacteria on the decor etc should take care of that for me with the extra water changes once again thank you very much brilliant video
Thankyou Cory! ! this videos was helpful! !
Great video 👍 Using the M&M makes it much easier to understand. Thank you.
