My only big con for GLC is finding cards to complete decks. I'm fortunate to live in NYC and have LGC that have older bulk. I can imagine how hard it is to find cards in a smaller city

Yeah that is very true, there is some degree to substitutes but you cant really get around key pieces...Not had any major difficulty on my end but I know thats with not building strictly great glc decks, its almost exclsuively what I happen to have in a bulk tin aha

I dropped Standard all together and went all in on GLC. The building a $60-$100plus competitive deck just for the next set to completely nerf it was not very fun. Now the problem for me is that no shop within 2 hours of me does GLC. Can’t play it online either so I play with family or friends. I’ve built every type ( minus fairly) so they use my decks. It’s become a nice little hobby to update the GLC decks when new sets come out but since they don’t get much play it kind of sucks.

Yeah basically in a similar spot, it would be so ideal if it was on live, I think it would honestly really take off and I feel like some channels would start migrating over to GLC content, myself included but really the only way to get around standard prices has to be with tier 2 rogue decks and such but depending on how competitve your local league challenges/cups are then it can certianly feel bad to start loosing a lot more... Would also like to try and build fairy at some point though, some fun cards in there for sure..

@@emberpowertcg7692 I really how it comes to live. I have over 150 code cards I’ll cash in when/if it does. But I have no use for the app currently. I have a few more videos in the works then I’ll be doing some GLC personal deck list. I really like how you talk about playing your favorite pokemon instead of the best cards for the deck. I 100% do that too. It’s the theme of being a gym leader that I really love. It adds some role playing aspect to it. I would do mono type in the games a lot too, just to make it more difficult and add some story to it. Every time I go through and update my decks (example buddy buddy poffin) I’m like I should just make fairy. Just for the heck of it. Just to have it. It would give me something to do before another set comes out.

I am prepared for me and my nephew to play these GLC's and using it at home. That is why I buy a lot of pokemon cards Standard, ex, GX, and Vstar. We'll play at home and see how it turns out.

I think deck profiles would be cool, I’m always looking for ideas for glc decks but there’s not that many deck profiles on KZread.

Yeah irl deck profiles is difficult with cameras/video size being a pain a lot of the time but I'd be happy to do deck profiles with this style of presentation and just images

My favorite mon shedinja is just not allowed, a purple that requires green

There's a fighting Tyranitar that can be played in GLC. As for the competitive stuff pushing out weaker versions of cards, that doesn't really have anything to do with singleton. If there was no singleton rule, competitive would just play 4 copies of the strongest cards, not a mix of strong and weak cards. singleton means you have to play 6-8 different evolution lines, not just 2-3 like in Standard.

I've somehow never heard of these fighting type tyrantiars and steelixs...cool! Yeah I appreciate the amount of things you can play with singleton but it was just on the point that new players escpecially are often shown the competetive version of each type and sometimes it could end up feeling like they have to have the exact 60, not subsitituting anything but I do see what you mean yeah
