You should change the title to most useful packs in the game as this video implies you have to spend money to play or unlock things when you absolutely don't

You don't have to put one penny into this game to play or unlock everything you need. You can actually grow incredibly fast for free. I'm one of the stronger people in my server and I've played less than a month. No I haven't spent thousands, hundreds, or even tens of dollars. This game is great at not being pushy at sales and making things easier to obtain than other games. I won't support games that work like that but I will support games like this one. I did throw a few bucks at it just to reward it's non pushy nature, relaxed vibe, and somewhat original take on the very overdone empire cash grab genre. (I am a gamer and like to support games I feel deserve it and a small $5 pack I think was earned here.) Other games I've played are just so predatory and plaster your game with highly time sensitive high pressure sales tactics and ads in your face as soon as you open the game. This game thankfully doesn't do that. There is a store but you have to go there yourself. And things are on a timer but they are constantly refreshed and almost the same thing replaces it. You also earn premium currency at a decent rate along with other items that other games keep as rare drops or behind paywalls. If you like empire games but not the pay to win attitude and predatory nature. This is a great game. Now there are whales in all games like this and all servers are different. So some servers may have more whales than others. And the crowd may be nicer or more toxic people but luckily you get a couple chances to switch servers early on. I was fortunate and my server Is wonderful and fairly balanced. I recently created a farm account and that server it was created in was not great lots of kids and toxic people. Did not make for a fun world chat. I was sooooo happy when I got my farm to my main server lol. So your experience will vary there. I wish they created new servers to move accounts that are inactive to make room for active players in the older servers. Or even peaceful based vs war based servers so people can comfortably play the style they like. If you decide to play just remember that the older the server (lower the number) the higher the levels people will be and there most likely will be a lot of whales. So not a good balance for you. So if you want to play long term and don't like your current server just go to one that is a little bit older and more established. Too old and you'll be at a disadvantage because you're new and nobody will likely take you in as most established alliances have minimum power level requirements, you won't be able to grow there. They are all pay to win, you can do really well in this game as a F2P player if you create farms and focus on the right special ants.

@@KeychainGaming I am playing Evony the Kings return for almost 2 years now, I have spent $20 000+ and I am sick of Pay to play games. I have 10 farms, level 40, and 4.5B power but that is nothing compared to people who have spent $50 000 or even $200 000.

Dang man, well you would do really well in Diablo Immortal with a few hundred a month. The biggest mega whale in the game is maxed out with 100k spent. I think a lot of the top 5% are about 10k deep or so. That is if you like the style of game.

And now I have become slave of this game. I just quit spending And probably soon will uninstall the game, and I'll never again start a new game like this that requires to absorb your life and your money. No way.

I just started and this video is sort of misleading. Sure it's great to know what to buy if you're that kind of player but videos like these should really tell new players what the skills, buildings, and basics are, not just.. Spend an insane amount of money every month. That's not helpful for game progression in the really early stages when this game is heavy with tutorials that will leave people reeling with the information overload. I feel this could be labeled better i.e the best packs to buy in this game versus what I should have done at the start.

I finally got my jj to one star, but sacrificed golden sugar copies to get there. Now to try to star up giant tooth hopefully...just need 5 golden copies lol ugh

I'm gonna wait a month before I spend more than 5 bucks because I see this game getting forgotten about or turning into a money pit on sand. That is true, but I personally have never been a fan of using lower tier troops for things. If the person sees that I changed my march and sets a defense, then I get wrecked and lose a ton.

@@KeychainGaming That's exactly why you use low level troops. Cheaper to heal and create. By not overdeveloping your carriers, you also keep your power levels low to anyone looking at your hill. Hopefully you have learned that in the past 3 months.

I honestly don't remember who told me that, but I don't play the game anymore. Things may have changed, or I could have been wrong. I'm like 99% sure its way more than 300. There were 6 full alliances of 100 members on my server plus the other random top 30 alliances with 30-40 members.

That depends on your server and where you stand. If you are in an alliance that goes out and pillages and kills for RSS, then switch to Raider. If your server is more chill and united for Server vs Server, then cultivator will help you grow more than raider.

I am not sure what the current meta is, and what has changed. They were adding a lot of ants and a lot of synergies for marches to be 100% 1 type. Shooters seem to be the most OP in the game and they counter carriers. So carriers is a hard road to take honestly.

Yeah, most of mine just sit there now. Oh well, lesson learned. Sometimes I get a surge or RSS in and I can use all 8 still. It is nice when that happens.

Yeah I think 6 is enough. It's not uncommon for me to have 5 active with 1 in reserve to supply stuff, etc. Plus, the first two extra builders are fairly cheap but $20 for the third one is a bit high by then IMO.

how do you find player locations?

During the server vs server event you can check the leaderboards for the event and locate players. It also tells you if they are shielded or unshielded.

Fig tree was easy to forget. I just got it on my new farm account and remembered it.

Wait, so this confirmed my fears : it's the Walking Dead game, replaced with ants! If I'd known that at the stars I NEVER would have downloaded it! The Walking Dead game was the most toxic gaming experience I'd ever had : with pay to play whales completely smashing every alliance until there were so few players left that they had to literally begin "merging" 3 or more servers just to make the game viable! Gameplay was toxic, the people themselves were toxic, and as for the in-game chat..? You get the idea. A few of the top tier players were even unmasked as having links to the Development team, which actively encouraged people to pay to keep up to them. Which makes me have to ask : are you one of the Devs masquerading as a player .? I'm guessing so.

So your just talking about spending money that takes away the challenge of the game.. and your hill looks weak for a lvl 19 in a clan. I rather eat then waste money in a game.... and the game has growth events, some boost gold ant drop.

There are so many of these "Strategy games" but they are all P2W and they can be fun for ahwile, then things settle into a repetitive grind.
