It’s like “Pandemic Diary’s” days with everyone in the chateau. Although that wasn’t that long ago, times have changed and the world is becoming increasingly unpredictable. The one true constant, is our intrepid family of friends at Lalande. And for that, I’m very appreciative.

With all the colds going around at LaLande I do hope the elders remember to take their Zinc ...it has been proven to shorten the duration and severity of cold viruses. I get mine in a multivitamin, but if I feel a cold coming on I up the dosage with a zinc vit. Along with things like MSM, collagen & other things, it heals everything faster & helps with my old creaky joints too.

So long as she doesn't supplant Marie's position as Head Chef ...although I do admire and miss Maria's exquisite skill as a Classical pianist ...so nice to have in-house musicians!! If Stephanie were to find a smaller period-piece clavichord or harpsichord they could have duets. After all, there are at least three accomplished pianists in the house right now ... Stephanie herself, Phillip, and Michael. And there may be others who play more instruments.

Guests, even beloved friends need to know (a bit like actors on the stage) ...their entrances and exits. That way the 'Welcome Mat' is sure to be out in the future. Also, it makes reunions sweeter.

Absolutely. Stephanie is never happier than when the chateau is filled with friends and family. If I remember correctly, Nick and Antoine are due soon too.

Your aunt and uncle are so sweet to come and replace Nati! They've just moved from England to France, were busy unpacking just a week ago, and it's a six hour drive for them! How can you not love them 😘

There is so much delght in this video, especially the people gathered around the kitchen table. But I am in awe of the chapel and kitchen garden. Umbeline is a gift. What she is accomplishing with the vegetable beds is extraordinary. So thankful for Pavlina. Was so wonderful seeing Kirstry! She is indispensible. The garden would not be looking as lush and wonderful without her. Hope we will be able to see more of her. Looking forward to one of her tours around the flower beds and pagoda. Deepest thanks to everyone who has transformed the gardens and the gleaming ressurected loveliness that is the chapel.

One cannot emphasise enough how important it is for elderly people to keep moving. The weeding is really good. Stephanie take heed !!! (Not saying you are elderly. But moving is vital)

You must create a little fenced nursery area for pea chicks! A small fenced area in the stables or something..there must be a way to put something up quickly.

The chicks need to follow their mother around in the grass and learn to forage insects and learn from mom what to eat. They need the sunshine ...and shelter from bad weather & sneaky foxes. Perhaps the gardeners can keep an eye on them in the day & they can shelter at night.

@@kindlydude I meant to be isolated with the mother. I have raised chickens and guinees for years…the always remain isolated with mamma hens in secure pens as long as possible to be protected from the myriad of predators we have!

New peachicks!!! I'll be nervous for their safety now especially knowing that fox is still around and so many other predators but you can only do what you can do to keep them safe. Nature can be brutal sometimes but I know with mummy on the case she'll keep an eye on them as best she can.
