The Anti AR-15 - Sig Sauer MCX-Spear LT

The Sig Sauer MCX-Spear LT is Sig Sauers light weight version of what I call their anti-AR platform. It has the residue of an AR15 while being it's own platform.
The Sig Sauer MCX-Spear LT or Spear Light is Sig Sauers latest generation of their MCX line.
The Sig Sauer MCX-Spear LT is what I like to call the Anti-AR because it manages to have it's own identity while still having the smell of an AR-15, which is just a long way of saying it feels the same and different at the same time.
I go over how it looks, what is it, what are it's features, how does it shoot, how does it feel, who is it for, and MORE!
We NEED MONEY FOR GUNS!
and our NEW Need Money For Guns Collection which just dropped today, is the perfect way to let the Government know this.

    the good thing is: this has been adopted by the military as contract so they will have to keep making it, and there are also pretty good AR parts compatibility(as in the whole lower, I guess you CAN technically fit a bufferless upper on an MCX LT lower too)

    it took us 50 years to get a AR-15 to function like a AR-18 but better and also have the cool featuers that the AR-18 had but modernize. this is the best I've seen in that platform and glad to have one in my collection. it has a lot of benefits but for the cost too its worth it... it is expensive for what your paying for but it makes sense for what its offering than your traditional AR-15 platform

    Agreed, Rattler and Spear LT is prob the best if you want a small portable 300 platform. But that rattler suppressed is just constantly blasting gas to my face. I almost went with the 11" 5.56 version, but the LMT 12" piston w/ Super42 H3 is my favorite now. It shoots so smoothly and softly both w/ or w/o a can, because it uses AR buffer system and an actual good suppressed setting. Unlike the questionable rail and barrel rigidity of the MCX and Spear LT. LMT has a monolithic 7075 billet upper, which is the king of toughness on any platform. And a super accurate CL barrel for a fighting rifle. Not to mention the quick change barrel system is truly 2 screws and returns to zero, no need to mess with that funky handguard system.

In other words, if you are found guilty, USCCA can not provide any further legal defense. That also means, no lawyer for appeal or anything after the court finds you guilty. Retain a real lawyer. A "lawyer on retainer" will see it through to the end, unlike the false promises made by USCCA! Mr. Noir, you are awesome! I have been watching, and clicking the "like" button every time. Been playing around with my 7.62 Spear LT for a few months now, couldn't be happier with it! What I have mounted now is an EOtech holo, flip-out magnifier, backup irons, light, and basic sling. I don't think it needs any kind of foregrip or a bipod - I tried both initially but this video is right that putting too much on the rifle will make it front-heavy. Depending on the situation I might just detach the magnifier for extra weight savings.

    Okay, something you said didn’t make sense. How can it be chambered in both .223 and 5.56? Yes those rounds are very similar, but unlike .38 special and .357 magnum, a .223 and 5.56 have some specific characteristics that preclude them from being interchangeable. Specifically the cartage geometry of the .223 and the powder load of the 5.56. How can a firearm be chambered for both? Unless it’s designed to convert every 5.56 cartridge you fire into a .223 upon firing.

  • @PeterV

    @PeterV

    9 ай бұрын

    Yes, a .223 Remington bullet can be fired safely from a rifle chambered for 5.56 NATO. The reason for this is because 5.56 rounds have a higher chamber pressure at around 58,000 psi compared to the .223 Remington which has a chamber pressure around 55,000 psi. So the rifle chambered in 5.56 NATO will be able to withstand the .223 Remington ammunition.

  • @davidblalock9945

    @davidblalock9945

    @@PeterV but the geometry of the cartages don’t match up. If you put .223 in a 5.56 you’re putting un supported pressure on the throat of the case.

    It's the anti AR15 if your idea of a regular AR15 is a KAC or LMT. Fun fact, the ONLY reason these are so expensive is because of a DoD bylaw that won't allow a company to charge the DoD more than they charge civilians for the non military version. So, companies with big government contracts like KAC, LMT, and Sig inflate the prices of their firearms by 500% on the civilian market to justify charging the DoD the same. Nice work if you can get it, I guess.

    You posted this three days ago and because of your post I had an uncontrollable impulse to buy the 300 BLK MCX-Spear LT 9" Pistol. It is completely your fault that I bought that gun, LOL. Please, please tell me where you got the SIG pistol brace for your gun. I want that brace, but since the new pistol brace rule came out (injunctions are immaterial) no one is offering them anywhere that I can find. I 100% concur with you on the differences between a two-stage trigger and a single stage trigger. For the exact reasons you pointed out I much prefer a two-stage over a single stage trigger. Now with that said I am excited to try the trigger in this gun. The trigger in the original MCX, which I own, was horrible and the worst trigger I ever felt. It does not have the original trigger in it anymore. I will be interested to see if I like the grip as much as you do. If I don’t change anything on the gun it will be the first for me. For the record, the “original” Sig MCX did not have a collapsible stock and came in only one caliber 300 ACC Blackout with a 16” barrel. I wish they made this gun with a 16” 300 BLK barrel. For those that wish to negatively comment about a 16" barrel on a 300 Blackout, save it. I don't own a 5.56 and never will. All of my training and practice on an AR15 style weapon has been with 300 BLK. My point being I know 300 blk pretty well and have 10.3' and 16" 300 BLK guns. If Sig ever makes this gun in 6mm ARC with a 16" barrel that will be the ultimate gun for me. Thank you for taking the time to make this video and to give your assessment of this gun. I am a huge fan of the MCX/MPX platform and can't wait to get my gun.

    Please make a gun with a rest right around the magazine so that in close quarters, maneuverability is a lot easier and he gun sits better in the hands and js ergonomic. And a hand rest throughout the whole rail too, so different positions can be used for different situations and the most important goal. For FUN.
