The Antagonistic Arachnid Warriors | Sci Fi Bestiary

Ойын-сауық

Known as Arachnid Warrior Bugs by the citizens and soldiers of the Terran Federation, these terrifying creatures of whirling blades and pincers make up the bulk of the known Arachnid species. Serving as warrior drones for their hive, Arachnid Warriors stand at approximately 3 metres tall on four pincered legs, which provide each Warrior bug with a considerable amount of manoeuvrability and speed, especially in open areas. While their forelegs, or side mandibles, boast razor sharp edges capable of slashing or impaling their prey with little to no thought to armour, flesh or bone.

Personally, I find the Gatling Sentry and Anti-Personnel Mine Stratagems works well

I enjoyed the book and the film is pretty darn okay too. My favourite bug was the Brain Bug as it looked creepy and creeped me out too!

I consider the books and films totally unconnected at this stage - I really, really love the design of all the bugs but you’re right - there really isn’t anything quite like the big fat smart bug!

I agree that the book and film are their own stories. And, all the bugs are well designed - it was a toss up for me between the (creepy giant beetle) Tanker Bug and the Brain Bug as to which was the freakiest.
