The Anime Fighter That Rocked The World - Guilty Gear Esports
Ойындар
Guilty Gear is an anime-style fighting game franchise by Arc System Works.
Correction: At 4:33 Under Night was developed by French Bread, the creators of Melty Blood with Arcsys as the publisher. We did a re-record after catching this mistake, but the files were mixed up during the editing process.

Just a minor note at 7:07: The character Ogawa used isn't called Eddie anymore from Xrd onwards. His name is Zato-1. Eddie is the name of Zato's shadow partner. While it's true that Zato was called Eddie back in XX due to the fact that Eddie took over his body, his name was eventually changed back to signify his revival. Other than that, great work! Seeing people talk about Guilty Gear really makes me happy.

Hey everyone we just wanted to make a correction at 4:33 Under Night was developed by French Bread, creators of Melty Blood with Arcsys acting as the publisher. We did a re-record after catching this mistake, but the files were mixed up during the editing process resulting in the correction not making it into the final version.

Under Night wasn't created by Arc System Works (ASW), they just published it. French Bread is the actual developer for Under Night. A better example was Blazblue, which was the next FG from ASW did, because at the time ASW didn't have Guilty Gear IP rights, they were in Sammy hands. Ones that changed, Accent Core +R and GGXrd happened iirc.

The Xrd announcement trailer is one of, if not the best, announcement trailers for a game of all time. When the camera pans around them I lost my freaking mind.

If I'm not mistaken, ArcSys only published Uni, but didn't developed. It was developed by French Bread, and it's main inspiration isn't Guilty Gear, but Melty Blood, which was French Bread first hit.
Sad about the delay still, but its for the better Great video btw! I feel I learned a lot about the series i love so much (also correction, Arc system works didnt make Undernight Inbirth, UNI was made by the same creators of Melty Blood, French bread. Arc Sys only published it)

I hope you're enjoying Stride! :D
Audio/Visual improvements on GGX wasn't a result of the PS2 hardware per se (as it was simply a slightly watered down port), but due to the game being built on more powerful arcade hardware, the Sega Naomi board and in turn, Sega Dreamcast hardware.
Nice, I've been waiting for you to make a video on this great series.
7:27 I ask my myself this same question every time I play a fighting game.
There are at least 3 errors within this video, but overall this is a great video!!: 1. Visual error in 4:22, the information is right but the one true sequel mentioned was Guilty Gear XX, while the one shown was Accent Core 2. Incorrect information at 4:30, Under Night in Birth development was done by Soft Circle French Bread, but was published by Arc System Works. One notable game that should be mentioned first would be BlazBlue, as it's an original IP of theirs that was made during the haitus of Guilty Gear 3. Accident on 8:10, Omito Hashimoto is the champ of Xrd Revelator/Rev2, Johnny was never playable in Xrd Sign. I understand the mistake though, as the games are very similar in name Optional: in 6:53, you say that this guy's main was Eddie in the old games, though I think you should also mention that he was and is now Zato-1 again. However, this may not be necessary.
I was actually surprised you guys don’t have more subs, you guys deserve the best!

Play guilty gear, or fighting games in general, there are many people willing to help you out alone the way and it takes time to be competent at it. It took me 4 or 5 months to finally get what I'm doing in DBFZ and now I have fun labbing and playing matches with my brother. You don't need to buy an arcade stick to be good either, just use what you got; a keyboard or pad will work just as well or even better in some cases. Check twitter for more info about your game, join discord servers and subreddits to get as much help and info as possible. I recommend checking Sajam's videos about him playing new fighting games, and how to learn it too.
Thanks for the Ogawa clip, when I first saw him here I thought of searching that video, but later there it was. Great moment.
Never really knew about GG, but saw everyone talking about strive and fell in love with the looks. I pre ordered and am waiting for the next beta since I missed the first. I grabbed Xrd 2 since I had a gift card and am trying to learn anything about the game and damn, do I feel like a noob. Here's hoping I can learn.
Great video! Just like to point a few things in the video that may need correcting: 1) Under Night was created by French Bread, maybe you meant to say BlazBlue which was created by ArcSys and there’s a whole other rabbit hole for that game’s development. 2) The memorable Nage vs. Omito match happened at Evo Japan 2018, not 2019. 3) A bit nit picky but, Guilty Gear Xrd would be the correct nomenclature for the 2014 “aesthetic”Guilty Gear. “Sign” was when it first came out then it was updated to “Revelator” and then “Revelator 2 or Rev2”. Sign, Revelator and Rev2 are all just Guilty Gear Xrd at different points of its update progress. Great video none the less and keep up the good work!
Akshon videos get me pumped up

the main thing about Guilty Gear is its endless swagger. There are many fighting series, but none (not even SF) is as expertly polished as GG in ALL of its areas: its soundtracks, wild character designs, animations, iconic voice actor, punchlines (heaven or hell...) and now graphical finesse and rollback netcode. Its all just perfected to a ridiculous extent and I need to stop typing cause I‘m such a fanboy :p
Good that everyone is eager to smell the game.
They got that GOOD netcode
Can‘t wait for Strive🔥🍐
Your production value is very good but PLEASE for the love of god do some actual research on the videos you’re making. A quick google search will show you that Under Night in-Birth was developed by French Bread, NOT ArcSys, who served as the publisher.

I think I heard arcsys lost rights to GG at some point, that's why they had to make blazblue in 2008 (which was completely omitted in the video), later they got them back and finally released GGXRD.
