This was pretty cool i love Barney in the haunted house but you have to wonder how andy had time to hang the ax before Otis and moonshiner came out when they would be facing where the ax was ❓ but my favorite opie episode was when he was being stingy for Charlotte

I’ve seen these bloopers over the years but I don’t even try to point them out when watching. I’ve watched every episode several times. I can tell you which episode within the first 3 seconds after the theme song entrance. I think I have the Mayberry disease. It’s incurable.

Beyond the guitar player not actually strumming the strings, he also didn't have his electric guitar plugged in.

00:01 George Kennedy was in World War 2 and served under Patton. He was wounded 2x. He was a Captain. He was chosen by the Army to act as the advisor for the TV show "Sergeant Bilko." He and Phil Silvers became and remained lifelong friends. Due to a back injury he was discharged from the army and went into acting full time. He worked his way up in Hollywood and became noticed in "The Dirty Dozen." Which led to him being cast in "Cool Hand Luke" which led to an an Academy award. He never gave a bad performance and was really outstanding in "Airport."

The actor that rance Howard replaced in one episode had a mental breakdown. That’s what Ronnie was saying in his book called “the boys “that’s where I heard it from.

As a filmmaker I understood that finding the little things was a challenge and you had to make sure that the little blips didn't affect the story. Thanks for the memories.

These explanations to me, would be to make an entertainment show that produces quality family stuff. Funny as well.

The ghost and mr chicken had gravel road and cement sidewalks. I just thought it was always that way back then, like dirt floors in houses!

The Andy Griffith Show is one that I spent my whole youth turning up my nose at; now it's one of my faves. This is great stuff! Apropos of nothing, does anyone know where Jon Cryer's mother was in the mid 60s..?

Cool video. You did miss one though. A black day for Mayberry. Where Gomer doesn't know where to put the gas in the Armored truck and he starts pumping the gas in the port hole. He floods the truck and gets gas all over Barney's shoes and trousers and a short time later, his pants are completely dry and all that gas just disappears.

One episode, Ernest T. Bass kept getting out of the jail cell but they never explained how that was happening.

Bernard P Fife throughout the show. Bernard Milton Fife when theyre looking at the high school yearbook getting ready for the reunion.

In any scene with a car close up Andy to Lucy, there is NO glass windshield or other windows-- a gasket , but no glass.

My reason for the dirt streets was the set was used for another project where it was still in the horse and buggy days. Easier to blend in the horse manure. But it does make the sidewalks look a little out of place.

Sarah was wealthy working all those hours. Maybe Sarah was a title for a phone operator since at any given time it could be a different operator whose name was unknown. Like when we call the cops we call all of them Officer. Maybe Siri is a descendant of Sarah since at any given moment at any time or place they both could be called upon to call someone during their tenure. 😂

Andy often walks in the office with his shoes unzipped. Inside, they are zipped and his pants are over his shoes.

During the 8 years it ran, They mentioned on 3 different occasions that Andy and Barney were cousins...

Not really a goof, but funny.... in the original Star Trek episode "City on the Edge of Forever" (considered by many Trekkers to be the best TOS episode), when Kirk and Edith Keeler are walking in what's supposed to be New York, they pass "Floyd's Barber Shop", the same facade they used in Mayberry.

One mistake in a Star Trek TOS episode that I have found years ago that no one has caught so far, I have looked everywhere on the internet and videos, it hasn't been brought up or found by anyone. Maybe one day when someone has the right episode, I'll chime in.

Are you referring to City on the Edge of Forever where Capt Kirk and crew are sent back in time to 1930's Earth right before the beginning of WWII. Kirk and Edith Keeler walk on the sidewalk in front of the courthouse and Floyd's Barber Shop? The painted lettering for Floyd's was left on the window glass as they walked by.

The TV screens were smaller back then so those hands along the edge wouldn’t have been seen like they are on todays larger screens & clearer devices.

I noticed how the set looked fake since I worked on plays in highschool. Even in other shows where the walls shake when doors closed.

St 0:45 you can see some sort of trough at the bottom of the blinds. I've only seen it in the jail house. It's in some episodes and it's not others. Does anybody know what they are?

Damn, I seen other chickens, and roosters rotate their heads when my great grandma and/or grandma flung choked a chicken.

That hand we keep seeing reprised its role the Michael Cain movie, The Hand. It was the protagonist in the horror flick.

A lot of goofs in the color episodes. As far as I'm concerned, all of the last 3 seasons were goofs. One color episode that I particularly loathe is the one where a stuffed owl is lowered down from a tree to fool the Darlings into thinking they are seeing an owl during daytime, and the Darlings fall for it. It's fine to have lighthearted fun showing mountain people being ignorant of things they haven't been exposed to, but to portray them as just plain stupid is not acceptable.

Not only was Barney's motorcycle stunt driver younger, but it looks like a girl. The rock went through glass and then a window shade--very popular at the time and made of paper.

Now we all know that window was paper so they could reshoot the scene over again but believe it or not folks I visited in Fort Smith Ar. would put wax paper over their windows for privacy but still let light in. So you could say it was wax paper.
