GOD BLESS THE MEN OF THE ANDREA GAIL KEEP THOSE AT SEA SAFE
This still actually hurts me and I had nothing to do with it. I was a baby in north Carolina. Its stuck with me for years. I have nightmares about the wave in the movie at 34 years old. I live in dare county and we are a fishing community. I've lost cousins in storms. I dont have any connections to the families that suffered after the event but I feel the pain. I love you all and I hope we can one day have a system of delivery and service that doesn't jeopardize the lives of our fishermen or create the chance of loss for a paycheck. No family should have to lose their breadwinner to a hurricane simply because they don't have a choice. I pray the technology has been updated to the point that we never experience this shit again

You think technology will overcome life and death? Haha. Never gonna happen. As long as we're in the real world death is garunteed and it can come anytime especially if you live or work in dangerous conditions accidents happen. Reality ✔️
You Guys will live forever !
The sister ship to the Andrea Gail is called the Connor and Michael. It's docked in point Judith Rhode island.

It's not a sister ship to the Andrea Gail, although the hull design looks similar. The Andrea Gail had a tripod mast, not a gantry-style mast. The AG didn't really have a true sister ship, that type of hull design was just very common back in those days at Eastern Marine

@@pc_buildyb0i935 I'm not going to argue with you I've been inside of the Connor and Michael and I've seen the inside of the Andrea Gail and it's the exact same. Do you want to explain that??.

@@gsd5505 Can you provide proof? Or just the claim? A sister ship is a ship that features the same design as another. Explain how they're sisters if the exterior is different?

In real life, the pararescue jumper's name was Rick Smith. It was changed to Millard Jones for the film.

@@pc_buildyb0i935 When they made the movie when the barrels went down they took a cement block with a steel hoop ropes running through it Manny is pulling them with his boat .He wouldn't let no one do it ,you get them ropes wrapped around your wheel it's all over .That happened in the canal a tug was pulling an empty barge .The water was flying the barge caught up to the tug , the cables got up around his wheel and took right down .

@@pc_buildyb0i935 ,I'm sorry I'm an old man I can't figure these dam phones out !lol These things are a pain in the ass I liked it better when we didn't have them but now you gotta depend on them .See what they did .
Bet you all that that crew are still fishing together on the great banks with plenty tuna and swordfish to catch. RIP

no, they're part of the ecosystem. their remains were consumed by nature. they are dead and no longer exist.
🙏🙏
Since they Sailed into the "Eye" of the Hurricane after they turned back wouldn't it have been wiser, or maybe "better" is the word l should use, to have kept going? That scene of them sailing into the Eye might have been for a Greater climax for the Movie version and might not have ever happened?.. that said, I Respect the Hell outta these Men and wish they all could have made it back Safely! RIP
If only the ice machine had worked
RIP Boys !
Sad and creepy story. The men just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. What exactly, in detail, happened to the ship, one can only guess. It could be sudden and fast, or it could be long, with all the possible damage control that an experienced crew could provide, fighting the elements at the limit of their strength. Peace be upon all those who perished at sea at all times. Привет из России🇷🇺! Храни бог всех, кто в море!

They probably put up a decent fight and had their antennas knocked out by the waves.
Im 65 I did Commercial fisherman all my life my best friend Manny Silva made the first movie Jaws it wasn't Spielberg Manny told them clowns what to do .lol With all their dam technology you mean to say they can't find her ? More like they don't want to! If it was one of the Kennedys they find it believe me .

La pelicula muy buena pero solo te muestra lo que ellos pasaron pero sin saber en realidad si fue asi o no en la realidad ya que nadie sobrevivio para contarlo.
Has anyone found the ship??
We turn around and let all that spoil....or make it into safe harbour?.....lets go for it ....paraphrasing....made the turn....damn....we gonna make it out

@@matthewrobinson2831 Yup incredible, keep going forward which of course in the captain's mind it was too dangerous, safer option make the turn and hopefully get out of the storm, but then a one in a million wave...sad RIP crew.

They were commercial fishing, and they were in it for the dollar. Over 10,000 human lives sacrificed.. for whatever you tell yourselves you're doing. but it's all just plain old death and dying.. plain old gone forever. and none of the game is worth it. that child needed his father.. didn't he.
