Bought one a few months back - mine came without stickers - good video bro 👍🏻

I will probably always have my rg351v. The formfactor, dpad+buttons, great batter life, and nice colored screen are just perfect to me. I have an Odin Pro coming for more high end gaming, but everything up to PSX and some Dreamcast will be played on this. I can't do n64 at all. The controls are too bad to enjoy the gameplay. I need the R4 and L4 buttons on the Odin to map everything the way I need to for n64 having that weird extra button you need to make games work. But for throwing in my pocket or travel bag, the RG351v is just a great emulation device.

Did you change the SD cards?

so im following your steps at the part where it says to swap to the sd card for roms only gameboy color and gameboy advance nintendo and snes show up not my ps1 or sega or any other ones for that matter any help would be great :)

I am having a problem, I did as the video instructed, used win32 to write it, all that. when I pop it in, it still gives me the Anbernic splash then says "SYSTEM FAILURE: Booting fail! please check kernal and dtb images", and shuts down.

Is there a way to play media (audio & video) with ArkOS? Thanks

Great guide. Once the 16 GB card has the OS installed and I plug it back in to the PC to download the EZ ROMs folder, do I copy/paste that EZ ROMS folder onto the FAT-32 enabled 64 GB SD card? Does anything else need to be on the card? Also, if I'm using custom saves, where do those go?

Yes you can copy/paste the folder structure right onto the second SD card. I believe the save files go in the same folder as the rom in ArkOS.

You installed the new system on a new card, right? Can I install the new system on the card that came with the ID? Would I need to format it or would that happen automatically when I install the new image?

Sure you can use the SD card that came with the device. I just don't trust the quality of them so I get new ones.

Need some help, in the 16g card, did you transfer any stock bios files from the original SD card or just the custom firmware alone in on your new 16g card?

One card is for all the games and one is for the system. If you put a new operating system/disc image (Amberelec, ArkOS etc.) on the system SD card, it will make these folders and files automatically. Ideally, get two new cards and just copy all the games from the game card and install new software on the system card.

Why is your power/battery level light flashing between green and red? I don't think it's supposed to do that.

Just curious have you gotten it to work with net play. I've tried to games other people host but it never connects

I know I’m late to comment but can I use a one sd card setup instead of a two card setup?

ive been looking for a good firmware, and one that can handle the weird battery percentage issues. been using 351elec. Would you recommend ArkOS?

ArkOS is great, and now there is JELOS and AmberELEC. All of them have unique features but I would say if you want a relatively painless experience, try AmverELEC.

I've noticed that the Super Mario 64 port doesn't work anymore on the latest ArkOS update, and the N64 standalone emulators have the worst button configuration. Function is the Z button.

Yeah, I'm on update 2.0 with the better Sega Saturn emulation. I'm probably going to put Retro Arena on a different card since they're basically the same type of OS.

Thanks for writing this out. I just got my 351v yesterday and was confused with N64.

any help? after i burned image on new sandisk 16gb card, turned on device, arkOS image appeared and already an hour screen is black. do i miss something? made all step by step as you mentioned.

I was able to play through Saturn Bomberman on my RG351V with the latest version of ArkOS. I agree those SD Cards it comes with is trash. Definitely a must to scrap those and use legit SD Cards. Try running Sega Saturn you'll be surprised what works.

Have no plans on upgrading does exactly what I want in 2023 and beyond...

I specifically play Pokémon rom hacks games and it’s literally the best thing ever

Jesua crist those stickers killed me so hard to watch I really like this device but cant get over how horrible those sticky stickers were gosh what a mess i dont think incan handle that irl barley got threw just watching that in the video

It really depends on what you want in a device. RP2+ has some great raw power but I really like the screen and ease of use on the 351v. I will say the RP2+ overall is a more versatile device for the price.

@@Orion-redx7 Same as a Game Boy. Can sometimes feel a little cramped for harder gaming sessions or games that require L and R but for most games it feels good to hold.

I mean this device just release what a year ago ? so of course it's still great, we really need to ditch the thinking of "new is better"
