While I understand your sentiment, I think it’s skewed. Yes, there are people from “protected groups”. Which by the way, anyone of any race (including white people) are protected from any sort of discrimination. So, in general, you’re protected from being discriminated against due to your race (which I’m sure, since you’re logical, begs to question why you would need protection from discrimination). Anyways, there are people from “protected groups” who don’t fall into those negative statistics, so should those people be protected? Or should they call into the category just solely based on the color of their skin or religion? If you answer yes, then you believe in the old adage, “people should be judged by the content of their character, not the color of their skin…”. If the answer is no, then that’s why those protection laws are in place because of people that would answer no. If someone is seemingly a decent person, hard worker and contributing member to society, then why should they be discriminated against for features they had no say in? That’s the point of discrimination and protected groups. Discrimination is not withholding responsibility from people within those groups, i.e. if someone from those “protected groups” is a criminal then that’s what they are and they should be treated like one. “Protected groups” were designed to pretext those who aren’t criminals, thieves, or generally bad people from being discriminated against by those who don’t care about the right to pursue happiness and only judge those based on outer appearances, theologies and so on. I live in Wyoming, I’m a member of one the so called “protected groups” (which I think is stupid because we shouldn’t need to label this stuff, people should just be decent) and I earn 250k/yr contributing to my community, educating my children, no criminal record, fought in Afghanistan war on multiple deployments and live my neighbor. There are some who still hate me, and I’ll be the first to admit that it’s much less than it was in the past. Anyways, I wish you the best in all endeavors and I hope that you can find a way to love others.

These are the type of people we were raised around unfortunately our parents went a different direction so we're stuck were we are but would in a second pack up my family now and tell my 7 adult sons and 5 daughters that are still at home if we had that chance to move to a city like this 100 percent would not hesitate we would be packed within an hour have 7 lifted trucks loaded trailer headed to Idaho for sure!

The US is the best country in the world and has been for many years. I as a foreigneer would of love to be born in the US, mainly because of its greatness as a nation. But i think most of the new generation of americans, forget that most of its economic success throught the years, has come from the contribution of many scientific breakthroughs of the nazi scientist they employed after WW2. This propelled their economic sectors for trade ahead of most countries. I'm not racist nor a propagandist of the past but its part of american history.

Having lived and traveled extensively in Idaho, I suspect that these newcomers are not fully prepared for life in the state, and long-time Idaho residents may not be as welcoming as they suppose. It's not just a vast and lush wilderness open to everyone. Much of Idaho is National Park, U.S. Forest Service, and Bureau of Land Management Land. Its larger cities are no less dangerous than most other cities around the country. The real challenge is likely to be Idaho's winter, which lasts from October to June. And why did they pick a Boise suburb? Want to experience Idaho? How about Leadore, Dubois, or Atomic City?

@@rayb.6537 I didn't experience any hostility from Idaho residents, except the farmer next door who said he would kill my dog if she bothered his horses. She had zero interest in his horses. He was just an unpleasant man. As a NOLS staffer, I got to experience wild places in Idaho that few people ever see.

@@JohnDrewVoicehey, not sure if you know anything about rearing a colt, but based on my research, a young colt in training is very finicky, and can go back into the old wild ways, if not carefully watched and maintained. he didn't want your dog by his horses, just like he didn't want his own kids by the horse. While that guy could have definitely said it in a nicer way, he had a serious point. 20 Seconds of your dogs barking could send a colt back to day 1 of training.

She was exceedingly well-behaved, never aggressive, and always under voice command. The guy was just a grumpy Mormon farmer. I never again had any confrontation with him, but a man who threatened to kill a person's dog was to be avoided.

Anyway, great documentary. Well put together. Im a citizen of Idaho and this type of thing has been on my mind a lot lately. I fear for my family's safety if things hit the fan (Im half native and half white) I pretty much consider myself right leaning, but still pretty flexible. I support any form of expression as long as isnt harmful or toxic. It scares the hell out of me whats happening around here. I fear people going too far in either direction. All of our families here are split by politics. Even though Idaho lacks diversity, people have been pretty good to me here for the most part. Lived here all my life in N Idaho except for my time in the Marines. Ive experienced some racism in Idaho but some people just suck. I get it. I have so many good people around me and most people here are pretty cool. I dont want it to change. Life is good here. What should I do if things get bad? Will the militias or law enforcement still be around to help protect people like my family who are of mixed background?

This hit job of an expose belies the truth. I've been to Idaho many times. Saw people of all races. Never witnessed a racist incident. These reports focus on a very small fraction of society who want life to remain the same and that can be found in any part of the world. Some may be racist, some religious fanatics but, it's a fraction of residents. Stop making it out to be bigger than it truly is!

Imagine how excited I was to hear who my new leader is (Re. 5:00 ). I hadn't realized before that I was a devoted Bundy follower. By the way, Bundy has fled the state as there is an Idaho warrant out for his arrest He was also soundly defeated in his 2022 run for governor (and not "this year" as this video states). The unrelated charges against Bundy that he is fleeing from came later. Let's just say that research is not this provider's strong suit. Are there some extremists in Idaho? Yes, but of course Idaho is the ONLY state that has such people apart from perhaps the neighboring states that have been contaminated and corrupted by regular Idaho residents. Far more realistically and in summation, this is largely a hate-driven hit piece on Idaho to gain clicks in which the focus was largely on the relatively few extremists that every state and every country has. Documentary? Hardly, try fiction.
