I've been listening to this song for 8 years now and I just can't get enough. I used it as my wake up melody and ringtone and listened to it hundreds of times and still never grew tired of it. It just has some beauty in it that sits just right and it's been the only song that has managed that for me. Simply beautiful.

This was a staple of my listening life back in 2010. I haven't realized how much I have missed/needed this track in my life.

Based off of watching the video along with the song it's the feeling of like the struggle, feeling empty and alone. Dealing with things going wrong but as the song progresses things get better, like a breakthrough. The struggle then the breakthrough

Easily one of the best post-alt bands in the last 15 years. I wish they were truly recognized for how original and outstanding there music is. Would love to see these guys perform live.

Clearly this is life in reverse. To me this is the most brilliant piece of music that will ever exist. The piano that enters at 3:10 overlapping the guitar is so well timed and fitting that gives you a feeling that's too otherwordly to describe.

There is something beautiful and terrifying in the messages which this song and video whisper to the soul; everything's alright but everything's a mess - I'm just the reflection of perfection; I'm homesick for a place I've never been... If only my days were so beautiful in reverse

it's like something straight out of my dreams. it's soooo good it's scary.

So I found this song as I was sitting in a hot tub looking at the stars and it just set the right kind of mood and I can't stop listening to it.

Existence began with so little and ended with so little. This song really express the beauty of existence because it isn't eternal. it passes by like a song. But that's what makes it so precious.

I thought of this song out of the blue today. I haven't heard since my late high school years. Looking at the release year of the video reminded me how the person who introduced me to this song was my best friend at the time 14 years ago. He and I got into loads of trouble together, lots of underage partying and such. Within the next year I would decide I wanted out of that lifestyle. Snapped my flip phone in half and stopped being able to be reached. Over the years I had seen him a few times. He had continued the path. I went on to get married, get close to god, buy a home, and have kids. Last year he died, still living that life. I received many calls about his passing. I wound up not going to his funeral, and I truly regret it. I dream nightly, and as of late, he has been in them. I did a lot to get away from that time in my life, music we listened to all those years ago are still songs I can't listen to. Bit this wasn't one of those songs. Just one he had put on a disc so we could hear it one summer day. I'd omagine that had he got things on track he would have met a decent woman and had kids of his own one day. I am not one to comment on videos and I had no intention until I had listened all the way through. So, whomever reads this, go to those funerals even if you don't want to see the people from those times in your life, you'd rather forget. God bless.

Heard this is Spotify once, and its pretty much the first ambient track I listened to. So calming and beautiful 😃 I like that there's 2 versions of this, one more ambient than the other 😃

The American Dollar has is one of my fav. bands... their sound is so soothing and so amazing.
