Andrew Garfield was to Spider-Man what Brandon Routh was to Superman. Both were accurate and underrated versions of the character who deserved another chance and better material. Garfield was sandwiched in between fan favorites like Maguire and Holland, and Routh was sandwiched in between fan favorites like Reeves and Cavill. But that doesn’t mean they were bad, it just means they weren’t utilized to their full potential because they could’ve been as popular as them.

I have watched all the Spider Man series. The latest movie was by the best action BUT as far as the portrayal of the personal suffering that Spiderman went through, Andrew Garfield stands out. And in terms of the relationship, by far the most engaging love story was between Emma and Andrew. Gwen over MJ any way for me after watching these movies.

I didn’t know Gwen said “You’re Spider-Man!” at 1:39 until I turned on the subtitles. I like how she’s the reason why Peter became known by that name in these movies. And I know Gwen didn't know Peter was Spider-Man in the comics, but these movies made it work. In the comics, she thought Spider-Man killed her dad and she didn't even know Peter was Spider-Man until moments before her death. With that, she died believing her boyfriend killed her father. I mean, sure, in the "What If" comic, she did find out the truth from Peter how Doc Ock was really responsible, but I don't like how in the main continuity she died thinking Peter killed her father. So I am glad that in these movies, Gwen did know what happened and it showed her helping Peter out in these movies as he was Spider-Man. I thought it made her look really cool.

Did anyone else just see Spider-man: No Way Home and is now binging Peter x Gwen videos? No? Just me?

I used to love these movies, this one was my favorite out of all the spider man movies and it still is. Their chemistry, him being the perfect Spider-Man and Peter Parker, is what made this one my fav. I always took Toby and Kristen’s relationship was made messy and difficult for a reason. That maybe they weren’t as compatible as they hoped they be. Peter especially was overly romantic about it and it’s not exactly a healthy foundation for a relationship.

You know, these Spider-Man movies are underrated, they are actually really good quality with wonderful acting and great cinematography.

@TheLapster I dont know if I am biased but I was always an andrew (and gwen) fan and I watched no way home so I decided to watch homecoming and far from home and especially homecoming (imo) was the worst movie I watched in years. The beginning with Tony Stark who shouldnt be a friend of the friendly neighbourhood spiderman and the avengers, everything about the avengers. I didnt really have the feeling I had when I watched Tobey and Andrew. I understand that bc of Marvel they get a lot more money but for me still Andrew was a lot better. As I said, idk if I am just biased or something.

I couldn’t concentrate on these films because of how cute Andrew Garfield was

One of my favorite things about Gwen and Peter as a couple is their mutual crush. You can obviously tell he likes her cause he has her photo on his computer; but Gwen has a crush on him too and you can tell when she's a little shy and trying to play it cool.
