Jax is literally the very model of someone who has completely given up. He just doesn’t care anymore. Completely desensitized to it all. I have a feeling that as this show continues, there will be the shocking revelation that Jax is actually one of the most traumatized and fucked up mentally amongst the group. He’s just really good at masking. I genuinely think the reason he remains so calm is because he knows that if he loses his cool even a little bit, he could reach his breaking point.

One of my favorite things about Jax is that he just does not care about anything. He’s so snarky and smug that you can’t help but love him. 💜 it’s very difficult to write a character who is a complete a-hole and still make them funny, but they managed to do just that. Who knows why he’s the way he is, maybe he was like that before he joined the circus or it’s how he’s acting after being trapped for so long. There are also subtle hints that Jax knows more than we think. He refers to people as characters and NPC’s more then anyone else does, he talks to Caine on a more normal level compared to others (even gave Caine the idea to have an adventure for Pomni), breaks the forth wall, has keys to everyone’s rooms, snapped Pomni out of her trance, purposefully try’s to distract Kinger and Gangle from the abstractions, breaks the spare sign, and one that no one mentions even though he suggests a new adventure to go on Pomni never saw any of it or was involved which begs the question did Jax know about Kaufmo and tried to lead Pomni away from it so she could escape? It’s a lot to think about, and with there only being a pilot we don’t have much to go off of, but it’s clear both the creators and the fans see Jax as a special character so I’m intrigued with what happens with him. Does he secretly care about everyone and is trying to help?, is he a bully who likes tormenting others?, or should I just not think about it to hard because goddammit he’s Jax and he’s freaking hilarious and voiced by Michael Kovach aka Angel Dust himself! ❤😅idk but I’m really loving this show and am happy to see where it goes. So in the meantime if there was ever a line to sum Jax up as a character (so far) it’s this “I’m fine with doing anything as long as I get to see funny things happen to people”. 😈

He literally changes expression throughout the entire thing lol. When he got hit by the glowing he made an angry expression and his mouth closed when he saw a gloinx glitching underground.
