It pisses me so much because the show JUST STARTED. Goose and her team clearly worked so hard and this was such a win for original content and independent studios. And now everyone is acting like the sky is falling in either direction and people like this asshole are treating the actors garbage and refuse to acknowledge they did anything wrong. Michael and the rest of the actors don’t deserve this shit. I liked the pilot and I’m curious to see where the show goes but I’m quickly fed up with all the drama.

If a charater is the following Female High pitched voice Quirky/relatable Innocent And the charater is super loved And MAY be an adult or teen There will always be r34 of the charater and it will prevail no matter what. The best way to avoid it is to not be in the fan base. Just like the show and love it alone.

Gooseworx has been around for such a long time, I know they won't make the show worse because of the "fandom". The NSFW stuff in itself isn't a problem for them, they revealed pomni's age before the show even launched because of that fact. The unfortunate thing about all this is the more popular something is, the more the negative groups from other fandoms will inevitably flock to it. Digital circus exploded into the spotlight due to the mass showing of it's content that spread about. It was not hard at all for so many sides of the internet good and bad to swarm over it.

It's honestly true that every fandom has a dark side, MD, TADC, Cosmonious High, etc.

This is just like the Welcome Home Fandom all over again... I fell extremely bad for the people and Gooseworks working very hard on this show

Uhh, Jax’s va explicitly said you could draw porn of his character. Idk about pomni or any of the other characters va’s but that’s probably why. Also, I agree with the point on KZread porn, that it goes against community guidelines, but trying to say it’s weird that you found porn on rule 34 websites is just braindead. Edit: also gooseworx acknowledged the porn and confirmed the ages of all the characters, with the youngest two being jax and zooble who are tied for 22.

As a currently active member of the fandom, I can say that most of it is pretty chill but as the video says, some parts of it are genuinely horrifying. I mostly use TikTok to contribute to the fandom through fanart or edits, and it's gotten so much more difficult lately to NOT see cropped (and sometimes uncropped) NSFW art. I've met more people who are against it than for it, and while I'm grateful that Gooseworx has all the characters over 20, it still feels like it's encouraging the art sometimes. Goose has stated that she is NOT going to copyright strike the content farms, which I'm still debating on whether it is a good decision or not. The show is great, but the downsides of Gooseworx and Glitch's success are just so much more apparent in this fandom than any others I've been in. As my first sentence states, I'm currently in it and don't plan on leaving any time soon, but it does feel very difficult to avoid the bad parts of it. It's also given the show itself a bad name, which is pretty upsetting considering the fact that it's a pretty okay show. At the end of the day, it's a good show cursed with popularity.

I’ve heard of this AI incident but I didn’t understand it since the description was short. After this video though. I just have to say, this is unbelievable. I understand how this is offensive and it really should stop. Exactly considering the man’s own friends think that is him saying absurd things is bad, I cannot imagine having my social life destroyed and my friends thinking of me in a bad way, hell not even a disclaimer that it’s an ai voice thingy. Goes to show that he doesn’t care about who he is impersonating.

I started watching the show and insantly enjoyed it. When I was on the fandom, it is god awful. My favorite character is Jax but they do nsfw things to him. I’m so done with these people doing this crap. I’m pretty sure the creators worked extremely hard on this and they are upset with this. I hope they do not discontinue the show, if they do, blame the fandom, not the creators..

But then I remember one thing, they can be doing a lot of stuff, and I already got traumatized about these since little nightmare 2 come out (although that's just the bad side, it's still surprising)

I'm glad you made a video about this, the drama is insane.

Nsfw is a consequence that can occur to any fandom, not just TADC. As for the AI synthesized voices, there can be some exceptions to it rather than having to completely abolish it. For one, it can be used personally, or with a bunch of friends (and friends only), you can also ask permission to use it in a private space for demonetized content, and it wouldn't put the voice actors at risk, as long as they don't use it in public and add a disclaimer stating that it's unofficial. It's a better alternative to just banning it for everyone. Just negotiate, and ask for consent.

considering the show looks to be about some very dark concepts and has censored swearing from its pilot I hope to god no one sincerely is gonna let their kids watch it. teens and adult show. not family show but....I've a feeling that wont stop the continual pearl clutching. amd before someone replies that Im a filthy coomer havent even looked up lewd art of the characters as I just dont see the appeal.

Ehhh, I wouldn't be too worried about the chance of it ruining the show. No fandom in anything is perfect, there will always be some kind of toxic side to it, but that doesn't mean there isn't a good side to it. Even the biggest of fandoms like MHA, FNAF, Gacha, or MLP have probably one of the most toxic-consisted fandoms out there, but the disgusting or bad fan-made works that were never made by any of the original creators of the franchise never really affected the actual amazing canon story and beauty of the real thing. And it's not like there's only bad sides of the fandom, there's good sides of it that are filled with extremely talented and amazing creators that help drive the franchise further into popularity and success!

I just wanna put my 2 cents on the nsfw issue. I’m an NSFW artist, I think that drawing nsfw of your favorite characters is fine, I don’t really see an issue as long as it’s not of children. My issue is the fact that this content is so easily accessible to minors. As an artist you can do everything in your power to add roadblock after roadblock to make sure your art is contained in adult only areas but it will always leak out and minors will always jump those roadblocks and lie about their ages to gain access to it. Unfortunately there isn’t an easy way to control kids other than directly from the parents using parental controls on their internet services. However many parents are incredibly tech illiterate. You may say “then don’t draw it, problem solved” however that isn’t fair, people who do things they enjoy shouldn’t be forced to stop because of parents lacking the skills to protect their children from seeing these things. This is just a messy situation in general and it’s hard to really find a proper solution without educating parents and encouraging them to monitor their children’s internet access. I don’t think this is really the fault of artists or that they’re necessarily doing anything wrong, I think it’s just an issue of minors being able to see these things so easily as well. It’s also important to remember the show and it’s themes are for teens and adults, not children. With an adult audience nsfw is more common to find. It just comes down to better monitoring minors tbh. But that’s just my opinion as an nsfw artist. Many people make their living off of these things, and drawing popular characters (unless creators of those characters explicitly ask you not to for example JaidenAnimations) is a great way to market for yourself. This is just a messy situation and while I don’t disagree with you I don’t 100% agree either. I just think parents need to be more careful with their children’s internet access. If you genuinely have questions please reply, but I’m not really here to argue with anyone and I won’t respond to arguing. I’m genuinely just putting down my personal opinion and experience. No hate to those who dislike nsfw art, that’s 100% okay and I’m not saying you have to like it.

@@ikathiibean it’s hard to say. I definitely understand why people are upset, but also this is the internet and unfortunately there will always be this sort of thing. I think in terms of children drawn or something that’s report worthy and ban worthy. Otherwise I think nsfw is fine. The responsibility truly falls on parents in the end. They need to monitor their children’s internet use. Unfortunately I grew up in a very non tech savvy household so I saw many things at ages I shouldn’t have an it definitely affected me a lot. As an nsfw artist this kind of art is an expression the same way anything else is.

So just so you know. Rule 34 was more or less a meme about the concept. the premise it works on however is what brought the meme name to it. "If something exists, there is porn of it." This in line is in the fact that someone somewhere, nomatter the age, will draw something about it. be it a moment of mental weakness, someone doing it purely out of spite to get to people as a joke, or well, people genuinely grasping at straws that can't really step back from things that help them relieve stress... nomatter how depraved it might be. its not rule 34 thats the problem. unfortunately, its the internet. Theres alot of ways now people can be introduced to 'ideas' they've never seen before. and that inevitably led to the widespread exploitation of a number of things. This being so common as it became, people started treating it as a norm rather than a private group or kink thing. and when something becomes the norm. people are less afraid to throw it out into the open. The internet is and always will be a double edged sword that shows us parts of society that we often would never see in our own neighborhoods. both the good, the bad, the ugly, and at some times, the inhumane. always, always keep in mind if you post something, there will always be some form of conciquence. always, be mentally prepared for what will come. its the unfortunate sideffect of the wild west of the world wide web.
