They now have a 2M 270 awning,i believe is light than the 2.6m one they have been manufacturing

Exciting product. Gotta say this is what I am after. Not too big or heavy; it doesn’t need all the features, just a place to sleep. I don’t even need a ladder. I was seriously considering buying another rtt this weekend, I May now need to hold out until the Australian dealers can provide some details, price and delivery times.

@@Hep-Chics No, the ladder is an additional accessory, you can choose between the 2m ladder or the 2.6m ladder, depending on your vehicle.

can you mount an awning to this tent?

Saw this at the outdoor show here in Canada two days ago. Obviously another excellent example of Alu cab quality. One this I noticed is the roof is not as steep as the gen3. Curious the reason for this

I would assume to lessen the amount of fabric and thus keep that lower profile design when closed.

Can these be put onto an Audi TT? (Roof rack distance is 56cm😔)

As a Toyota Rav4 owner. This is perfect for me. Love your company and all the videos on youtube, especially the warehouse video. Seeing the production, quality and the love for your products. Anyway. I will be buying this early next year. To catch the full season in the UK. My main question is this. I do love the simple design, keeping it light and slim. The only thing I would personally miss, comparing with the other models. Are the pockets provided to organise items. For example. The pockets that a placed on the insulated aluminium frame. So to my question. Would this be an available accessory to install as a post purchase ? Like the rain fly. If so, this would be the ultimate perfect cabin. I know most would make do, by attaching pockets onto the inner straps either side. But the centre pockets above the head would be the icing on the cake. Also, my other question. Hope you dont mind me asking. Where the triangle logo is stitched. Is this the same access point, where one can insert a diesel heater for example. Another icing on the cake if so. Still a very beautiful. Simplistic design that I love, still keeping the important fundamentals of roof tent camping. Thank you and look forward to your reoly. Unfortunately the triangle logo is branding and the LT-50 does not come with a heater vent. I will make sure to send your comment to our R&D team!

Great tent. Looks perfect for my Jimny. I have one question regarding the mattress. Would you say there is enough space to put a 10 cm mattress in there? 6 cm is mostly to thin for me as a side sleeper.

Hi there! Yes, that would be possible. The tent will still be able to close, but you will not be able to leave any bedding inside when closing the tent. The 6cm mattress allows space for light bedding to stay in the tent when closing.

Will it have a back rest and a drop down table like the gen 3r ? I try to find the lightest possible roof top tent for the hard top of my land cruiser 73 but with minimum of confort to for overlanding week-end and sometime 1 or 2 week

Hi there, no it will not have the Back Rest and Drop-down Table at this stage. Sounds like the LT-50 is a good solution for what you want to do!

Will this tent have the heater inlet like the Gen 3-R? It looks like this model has one but the one on the website and preview video does not.

No, it does not include a heater inlet at this stage. The patch on the side is just for extra branding.

We are working on a lightweight awning that can be mounted directly to the tent. Otherwise, our normal 270 Degree Shadow Awnings can still be mounted by using our 1450mm Load Bars and mounting the awning directly to that with our specific Awning to Load Bar brackets.

I would love to have the opposite of this. An XL version. 30cm longer and with a really thick and comfortable mattress. We are travelling full time and I am 2 metres tall. It would be amazing to have an AluCab tent that would work for that.

I'm interested in your tent. I have a 23 Ford Maverick does you. Do you guys carry a tent that works on that track

Hi there! Our LT-50 can be fitted to your vehicle with the correct roof rack/rail system, that will support the tent's weight.

Would you be able to enter from a rear door mounted ladder on a Jimny

You might need to maneuver yourself a bit to get in, but it shouldn't be a problem. We haven't tested it though, will let you know when we do!

Exactly what I thought, I have front runner rear ladder on Jimny, so I was thinking, if it can be used as access point. But cant see any reakn why, its just slight angle

So the fly sheet/rain cover is not part of the deal & has to be bought separately? How much? Also no mention of interior lighting or power outlets inside tent

Yes, the fly sheet can be bought separately. As we have found that many people do not actually use their flysheet and we would rather offer it as an optional extra for the LT-50. The LT-50 does not have lighting or power outlets inside the tent like the Gen 3-R. This is a more basic rooftop tent solution - it also keeps the price down. It hasn’t arrived here in Australia yet but Ironman will be stocking them & they are priced at around $4500 AUD that’s without rain cover/flysheet which costs an extra $160. Also the ladder that comes with it is only 2.0 metres,not tall enough for my Ford Ranger that has a lift kit,add on another $150 for the ladder extension & I’m looking at nearly $5000 AUD for your basic tent

You would be able to fit, but it would be very snug and you would most probably not be able to sleep with your legs extended.

The first Load Bar has to be placed about 300mm from the front of the tent (hinged side). Then we advise the space between the Load Bars to be 700-1100mm

@@Rob_FJ Apologies, my initial comment focused on the Load Bar positioning when mounting the tent to the vehicle. The two bars seen on the tent in the video is a fixed structure but Load Bars can be added anywhere on the tent additionally and a max trax tray can be mounted.

As a south african i am quite frustrated by this product. Not in the quality which is excellent, but at how difficult it is to get everything when buying this online. No brackets are included and not sold separately online. I also bought the 270 awning with side panels and there were no extra poles included. In none of the products where any fitment instructions.

We offer a variety of brackets as there are different roof racks to mount our products to, that is why they are sold separately. Thus, the customer can decide on which brackets they need. Extra awning poles can be ordered as spares, as our 270 Awning is actually a free-standing awning. Our South African distributors, 4x4 Mega World, or the dealer you ordered the tent from, will be able to assist with clearing up these frustrations!

@@alu_cab Thanks for the quick reply. Unfortunately mega world only sell the awning sides as you supply them, so i don’t have the option of buying the poles for them separately. I don’t live close to a mega store and have to buy online. I had a look at a american online store which sells the poles as part of the sides.Even the presentation video made by Alu Cab shows the extra poles fitted? If it’s about the cost then add the poles and lift the price. I now have to make a plan to get the poles but not sure how??
