the alterna logs are the most satisfying to read for the first time, finally getting more detail on what the humans were doing and how inklings were REALLY made. you can truly tell they were excited to finally go into detail about this side of the story.

yeah, I got so excited when I started the hero mode, went into the menu and saw there was an entire other lore document aside the sunken scrolls, and then the contents actually went into the past of humanity, this was what I was always hoping for in Splatoon

thank you for the food. all the logs are so freaking cool that i forgot how much of a barrage of gut punches the last one is, i feel like i just enjoyed a full course meal and the dessert ends up being like, sand

I really liked the intro you made for O.R. C.A. and your narration was pretty good. I'm glad that the devs made this logs on top of the Sunken Scrolls it's always a treat to know more about Splatoon's story.

Thank you! Yeah immediately when I first started the story and saw the logs i was relieved that even if the scrolls are kinda lame again like in Splatoon 2, at least the logs have got to be interesting. But in the end, even the scrolls were pretty interesting as well

Excellent narration ardnin! You definitely have a knack for this and I loved the visual design of the video so much!! I was excited to hear the last log especially and the foreboding tone there really came across. 10/10

I just got ALL the logs and I gotta say, this was quite a fascinating experience. I never would have expected to get this much detailed info on Splatoon's apocoliptic history. Before, I didn't care too much about humans being extinct in the Splatoon world. But now, after reading how much they have done to survive, I find it quite the tragic tale. And while I understand you don't like the fact that Grizz is a bear, I don't mind it at all (especially since he is an experiment, kinda like Judd). Also, now I just feel kinda sorry for Grizz. Finding out that there is none of your kind left after waking up must have hit him really hard. And sure, while the Judds did exist , that probably wasn't enough for Grizz. Two doesn't compare to the billions that existed in the past.

Great narration, the entire theming of the video was absolutely excellent

How curious it's see how the Alterna logs are getting represented in the game self with every island we see, not only with the logs self, but the music and the environment too. How? I'll explain it. Site 1: Represents the "Start" of a new life for the remain humans in the deep of the crater in this "Futuristic" and "Utopic" artificial world, as the title say. Around, you'll see 3D printed moais and sometimes sculptures in the levels as the last remains of human's culture. Site 2: Represent the "Effort" of humans to survive in this new underground environment with some machineries to keep not only they alive but to process the marine food and keep all Alterna working, with the birth of O.R.C.A.. All this with the objective to make the place more "Cozy" and "Safe". Site 3: Represent the "Discovery" of the crystals with the help of "cryogenic" machinery to make Alterna bright like the old world because humans in Alterna "hoped" to "see the surface", a dream shared with Inklings and Octolings, even the last ones as we seen in the previous two games and DLC. An interesting detail it's the fact the ice in the floor reflect the walls around, like the crystals reflecting the old world outside. Site 4: Represents the "Empty", a thinking what the new generation of Alterna had to the environment, like a kind of "Landfill". This idea it's because they wanted to go to the "Dreamland", also known as the surface, using as their first try a submarine, like the one seen in the game. Another interesting detail it's the fact the island and the music also feels empty, without any point of interest but containers. Site 5: Represents the "Perseverance" of the old generation of Alterna to keep all the last humans alive in a safe environment. This idea can be seen in the amount of greenhouses with growing vegetables inside to feed the population. Site 6: Represents the "Investigation" of the new generation with their project of create a Rocket to see not only the surface but the world and the space. The music around fits perfectly with the science environment of the "Laboratories" and have a "Happy" rhythm, representing the state of the scientist after a long time of "Research" to build the rocket, the space building and create the fuel. Alterna Spacial Station: Represents the "Reflection" of the last moments of the humans of Alterna before die under the remains of their environment, remaining no one alive and extinguishing them forever. The sounds in the area follows the idea because most part of it are prerecorded messages about the "Test Launch" and "Error" messages, followed with "Alert" sounds. Those alerts marks the crash at the ceiling of Alterna and the last moment of humans before their unfortunate destine. Not only that, this area also follows the same errors what made Alterna exist, with the new generation rejecting the old one and causing the death of everyone around, same happened with the government who rejected the situation and caused the death of population over Earth. A true reflection of the events happened before Alterna and before Splatoon 3.

I didn't know someone narrated the logs in KZread. I appreciate this since it's been a while since I read the Splatoon 3 logs ingame and hearing them out loud helps me absorb the information quickly and comprehensively. Thank you for this video.

To this day im still confused on who the 'prophet' in log 6 is. They say the inkling is well known...is it cuttlefish? Maybe there will be more light shed during the dlc (which I'm super excited for!!!)

It's interesting that the mysteries of the Ruins of Ark Polaris would be answered a while after it's release in Splatoon 2, for it to be the cite where Mr. Grizz had awoken after thousands of years. Hopefully we'll get the map in for Splatoon 3 once again soon, I'm looking forward to take a look-see and see what's changed.

What a qualitative video. Not only mentioning the narration but especially this incredible intro, I wonder how you get the assets and how you made it! I'm such a fan of O.R.C.A and the Alternian vibe, even though I've been very disapointed by Daddy Grizzco being a bear, that's still making a lot of sense for the story. I can't hold my excitation for the DLC of Splatoon 3 and your upcoming videos as well.

Thank you! Yeah I ripped the game files to get some of the textures used in game, like the orca logo or the screen overlay effect. The Alterna and O.R.C.A. aspects definitely saved the hero mode quite a bit for me. I still don't really like how they handled Mr. Grizz' story but at least we got super interesting lore on late humanity

Did they build a rocket outside of Alterna? And if they were searching for a new planet to replace earth, why couldn’t they locate a similar planet like earth before their launch, they have navigational systems. And I bet after 10,000 years in space, the amount of humans on the Ark were now corpses😨
