That was the first one I remembered when I saw his face again in the Tara Noah video. I was instantly transported to that video and then to his weird fuckboi laugh he does every time he thinks something is too obvious to need saying, like that cooking meat is bad.

I'm glad to hear it. Part of me worries I'll just constantly lose people as Victoria 3 video people come in and then get blindsided by meat guy or like, a Fable video or really just anything not GSG, but I'm still gonna do more GSG stuff when I have it organized. Probably in sprints.

@@Rosencreutzzz well, I came for the GSG videos and stayed for the rest. I would like to see more of them, but also more videos like the one on esoterism, and like this one. They're all really interesting and also entertaining. But I wouldn't mind if you abandon any of those or adopt new themes in your channel, as long as you keep the quality and the pleasure you (at least seem to) have in making your videos.

Imagine giving a guy who is skeletal a piece of your meal and then just a couple months later see him talking about how vegetables are poison and meat saved him

That aggressively 90's clip-art at 1:06 just _sent_ me in the most nostalgic way. Edit: "Dogs don't need water because meat because blood" sounds like he extremely misunderstood how polar bears' fat can be metabolized to water, therefore they use that to help the water issue. Having had a dog who had a... peculiar palate (he kept trying to eat porcupines, and you can guess how that went all four times he tried, before he wised up and turned to skunks, which just meant tomato juice baths), I can confirm that that dog drank as much water on skunk-devouring days as on non-skunk-devouring days.

Watching this at 4am, I feel like reality’s slipping.

I don't think I have the "business" savvy to even know how to change it. I'll just writhe in chaos without having "earned it" as seems to be the trajectory of a lot of the more known youtubers. Like, I used to genuinely fret over the "well I can't make this til I'm big enough or I'll kill my channel/confuse my viewers/be accused of being inconsistent" but really, making what I feel like making is all I can do.

Hey fam, I like your videos a lot, it really appeals to me as a nerd/Wikipedia addict and appreciator of games, especially grand strategy games (even if I often find myself preferring discussions of the games to actually playing them). Thanks so much for all the great content! One thing btw, I’ve heard you use the word “semantic” in contexts where I think you might actually mean “pedantic” (something I’ve often been accused of being). It’s something that I’m kind of surprised I don’t see more people mixing up, considering that getting into debates over semantics is exactly the kind of thing that somebody who is pedantic would do. I could be wrong though, since the words can have some heavy overlap such as what I just described. Hope you’re doing awesome, thanks again!

Hahha, Yeah I had that same revelation. When I go back to history game stuff, the first one is not going to be about a singular guy, but a historiographical lens, I at least know that for sure. Some time this summer or maybe September, Mia Mulder and I are gonna be making a video about Alt History and how it connects to/ is embodied in paradox games, and some time after that I've got a "season 2" of the Doing History stuff planned. I will never step away from historical strategy for too long (for my own tastes, at least).

Its especially unfortunate when he has an audience that he spreads those ideas to. On a completely different note, every time I see them, I wonder how the libertarian-own the libs atheist came about. Lol it's largely just one or two videos by the Italian guy, Sv3rige himself and a few videos that are like "are you in your 20s and lost on what to do with your life???" which is maybe the most comical result so far. And then like a lot of body and mindfullness/wellness content, which I guess I also somewhat get. It's less insidious underground cringe stuff and more just self-help things. Oh and some runescape content, but that might just be because I listened to the music while editing lol.

Where is the video about villagers and capitalism?

I mean I'm certain I'm not the only one on the left that feels like this. But sometimes you need a little tonal whiplash, to spice things up and keep you from going meatmode on it

I mostly relate him to being an anprim based on things that aren't his most comical views, stuff about how cities are unlivable, his reliance on the concept of "natural existence" to be striven for, and rejection of the "unnatural" which extends to much of technology and medicine. I doubt he's doing it from some formal praxis position, but his mindset does have more than a few overlaps.
