I have an ultimate game-plan. 1. Remove Spider-Man 3 from canon. 2. Bring Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield back in Spider-Man: No Way Home. NWH will then serve as the third movie in all three Spider-Man trilogies. It is a sequel to Spider-Man 2, TASM 2, and Far From Home. 3. Give Tobey Maguire a big sendoff in No Way Home. 4. Then, you split ways. Tom Holland will be permanently integrated into the MCU as it’s Spider-Man, and Andrew Garfield returns to the Sony-Verse as the Spider-Man who will appear in their franchise as long as they see fit. I see this as an absolute win.

Also a director's cut of TASM1 is something I've always really wanted, but I'm not sure how well a TASM2 would be. It could be great, it could flesh out many of the things the film needed to flesh out. Or it could just be a longer TASM2 which would be the worst situation to be in.

@@RyanKaufman Well yeah, I'm not saying that the ideas that they had for the 3rd movie were actually good. I just think it's a shame for that series to not get a satisfying ending when there were redeemable aspects to it. Would I want a Spider-Man 4 over an Amazing Spider-Man 3? Absolutely - in a heart beat - since I think the Raimi series had much better movies and was a much better series overall. But I personally wouldn't mind getting at least a concluding movie to The Amazing Spider-Man series as well - especially if Sony actually stayed the hell out of the creative process.

Facts I honestly like the fact he doesn’t have to be stereotype nerd he can still be an outcast and be relatable to other people. In the second one I would say the antagonist rly is him the whole film despite all the villains it’s not that he can’t defeat them but he himself doesn’t find himself in his peak and most concentrated to be Spider-Man since his life as Peter has been so bad not knowing what to do with Gwen. And then in the end the fact despite doing like everything possible Gwen dies and he actually has to move on and for a while he doesn’t and gives up which so real. Then as a similar situation as this film he sees a little boy using his image to confront rhino to stop him fro, attacking the city and he feels he has to come and save him and leave his emotional baggage aside.

@AN-DROID GAMER RATUL People are mad because it is very obvious that MCU Spidey depended too much on Stark to the point that he was dangerously near "Side-kick territory." And there's really no reason to hate on the TASM crane scene, because that's like saying Spider-Man shouldn't have been helped out by people in the train on Spider-Man 2. These two scenes are very similar and both show the city finding out that there is a hero that saves them, and they are also willing to support him. Now this is very different from Spider-Man being helped too much by Ironman. Because by having Spider-Man be saved by another superior figure, it only means that Spider-Man did something dumb or wrong. However if you have Spider-Man be saved or helped by a multitude of normal people that are not superheroes, that's a totally different meaning. *So of course fans have the right to agree with this scene and disagree with the MCU scenes. I'm not mad, but I just wanted to explain to give you a better idea of why things are the way they are.*

I’m going to be honest, I love this film, it’s one of my favourite Spider-Man movies. I know it’s an unpopular opinion, I know everyone trashes TASM movies, but I love them. I love Andrew Garfield, I love the action, I love the characters, I love a lot of things in this movie. So I thank you, for making a positive video about this movie, I feel there are so many videos thrashing these films to the point where it’s getting old. It’s fine to have an opinion and I do agree sometimes with a lot of the issues people have with these films, but I just feel like people should try something new and talk about what this film got right. So I thank you. I love your content and I love this video.

Solar animations I KNOW!! I think it’s ridiculous that people keep tearing this movie to shreds. I agree these 2 movies are the weakest in all the Spider-Man movies we got, but dang! Sometimes I feel like Batman & Robin gets more respect than The Amazing Spider-Man movies, and that’s truly pathetic because these movies were nowhere near that level of bad. I’m sick of the unnecessary trashing of this movie too.

The most appealing part was the lack of plot holes and ridiculous coincidences. The Spider-Man story bathes in them, but this movie does a great job of connecting everything(like a web). Gwen working at Oscorp and her father being police chief were unlikely, but the movie explains why Spider-Man knows the Lizard: Spider-Man got his powers from his father's research, and the Lizard's work succeeded because he worked with Spider-Man's father. Also, the Lizard fighting a SWAT team is exactly what should happen if supervillains existed, and it worked very well.

Everything felt too damn real, its like looking at a mirror, I've lived with my grandma and grandpa, it is scary accurate how the interactions they have are similar to ours (not literally per-se but you get the point) and Andrew's spiderman literally moves likes spiderman, better than Tom's and I dare say Tobey's spiderman, which is why I kinda get the whole Tobey is the best peter parker but Andrew is the best spiderman.

Such a good scene, even better when you realize that being on the bridge is metaphorical for change, passing towards something else, crossing over your own flaws, selfishness and twisted vendettas instead of drowning yourself into them. Peter Parker becomes Spider-man when the way to Manhattan is open for him. His greatest challenge yet as a hero is on his way to Spider-man's home (Manhattan). Clearing such a challenge allows him passage to where he can be his hero self.

“American writers often say they find it difficult to write Superman. They say he’s too powerful; you can’t give him problems. But Superman is a metaphor. For me, Superman has the same problems we do, but on a Paul Bunyan scale. If Superman walks the dog, he walks it around the asteroid belt because it can fly in space. When Superman’s relatives visit, they come from the 31st century and bring some hellish monster conqueror from the future. But it’s still a story about your relatives visiting.” -Grant Morrison

It was nice to see a positive analysis of this movie. I actually like the reboot, and I wish it would have continued. I really don't care for Spider-Man Homecoming, although I do like Tom Holland as Spider-Man/Peter Parker. Crazy Idea, I would like to see Andrew Garfield reprise his role for the Venom sequel. How? We got the Spiderverse film right after Venom, so audiences know that there are now different universes. During renegotiations, let the MCU do their thing with Spider-Man, and then Sony can do their version. Two different Spider-Men in two different universes. Hey, it could work!

Yeah that's what I was thinking too. Is there any reason we couldn't say that Venom is set in the TASM2 universe? As long as the MCU keeps putting out their own awesome Spidey content, I'd be all for this

  • @charlespatrick3101

@@rainmaker2338 it would make sense too, especially since the Venom movie had similar qualities to the Ultimate Venom from that story. So were the villains in TASM2 movie. A loose version of The Ultimate Spider-Man story line is what Sony could follow. I'd be up for that!

Both were beyond horrible. Peter Parker is a total asshole, the editing is shit, the lizard is garbage, for some reason Harry thinks Peter knows spiderman based on a picture he took from like a mile away, and Peter's parent's subplot was just complete garbage.

After watching this video, I can now say that I didn’t appreciate The Amazing Spider-Man 1 as much as I should’ve. It’s similar to Spider-Man 3, there’s a good film hidden deep within it that needs to be dug up to see it. Thanks Alex for helping me see that 👍👍👍

Nothing more to say. I actually saw the ASM movies when I was eleven/thirteen years old so that I liked both of them very much when I first saw them (you just are more excitable for everything as a kid) and even now I like the first one quite a lot in spite of seeing all its flaws and even the second one has its moments and is almost kind of enjoyable for me from time to time (a statement which I'm going to be killed for but whatever)

I really love The Amazing Spider-Man. I know people dislike it, but I love the first one. Andrew Garfield is incredibly underrated as Spider-Man, and he got done dirty by Sony. Garfield is my personal favourite live action Spider-Man, followed by Tobey and then Tom. I would’ve loved to see Garfield’s Spider-Man in a universe like the MCU. I feel like his Spider-Man would actually work better in that Universe. I feel bad for Mark Webb. I really liked his vision, and the darker, more grounded take on Spider-Man and the “Vigilante” aspect of the character, right down to the suit. I love the TASM suit. I love it’s darker tones and makeshift stuff like the sunglasses and tennis shoes. Like I said, I know people hate this movie and I understand why, but I love it. Great Video, Alex

4:51-- yeah, I love it! In your right to zero in on this. Mark Webb is right it was the right intro to encapsulate the whole point of the film. Campbell Scott was the Perfect cast for Peter's father...! And your analysis about all the father figures and Peter's life and how is not appreciating the parents who really has... All spot-on!
