You have no idea how i relate to the core to this scene. The uncomfort stieve went through, all the rushing thoughts that I'm sure he was having, the disgust, oh god, horrible.

It was an exciting episode but the ending scene did not make sense at all..So they notice the murderer although a bit late, one of them chases him somewhere..all good till this point..then the murderer gets away which is also ok. But how the hell he managed to lure another boy, took him upstairs and then disappear with the boy is nonsense. Oh in the meantime, he gets on the roof in the opposite building make another man unconscious. Like what is this? Murderer is like actually 3 people who can be at different places in a very short period of time? Well effort and money is spent on these shows and this no logical ending just ruins it.

I think there is some implications that the witnesses are being led by certain remarks and that this man might have been a red herring. I can't remember though. Stevie was told though that the man had a silver smile (Mercury? for syphilis treatment) and a phrase that was heard but there were also no survivors so it's possible that it was just another creep and they were slightly on the wrong trail. I might be wrong but that's the sort thought process I had.

False leads and dead ends. Which is accurate for a homicide investigation.

@@nighthasfallen456 stevie said that it was the murderer (as he had a silver smile). The murderer killed rosie (he was the actual murderer). However, the silver smile false lead was never in that scene, so why did stevie agree it was the murderer with the silver smile who approached him?..... Seems like a massive plot hole and the writers got confused

@@jayg9087 I haven't seen it in a LONG time so I'd forgotten that. Two theories here: either it was just a writing mistake that made it past the cut, or it's an example of 'leading the witness' (I'm not sure what the actual psychological term is called). Stevie already knew about what evidence they had discovered, so even though he saw the man face to face, he applied what he already knew to what he saw and it caused him to become confused. Like when Kreiszler later tells John "you already have a picture in mind of what he looks like". It's why in questioning cops aren't allowed to tell people details of crimes to ensure there is no 'cross contamination'. (I have no idea what this phenomenon is actually called sorry)

I watch this series right now but have a major problem with these 10 12 yo crossdressing boys roaming the streets and hanging out in brothels. I doubt that theese activities was as open as it seems to be in the series.

I think the reason they seemed so open in the tv show is because that's what they focused on in the show. Also during this time period there was alot of kids on the streets they did what they had to in order to survive and people took advantage of that to make money.
