I think if twi'lek were sub human the Tegruda would have to be also, If Tigruda are sub human then so would the Zabrak who have two hearts etc the list would just go on untill you got to Munes or something. You'd have to draw the line some where. I think chiss, and the other races mentioned have the right to be called sub human since it really is just the skin and eyes that differ.

Given that the empire is literally a metaphor for the Nazi, it goes without saying they would form a heiarchy.based off of racial, or in this case, speceial bias, with one species forming the top, and some able to be considered honorary. The Nazis considered aryans the best race, and Japanese as honorary Aryans. I like the attention to detail in many eu sources in expanding the SW universe.

They had dozens of different castes depending on where your parents were from, and were their parents parents were from. Even being 100% Spanish, just being born outside of Spain made you lesser to a mainlander.

I remember seeing in Legends that the Muuns where treated well too during the years of the Empire because they controlled the vast mayority of banks, credit maker companies and they where brilliant in math and very wealthy. Also they mentioned that it was because Palpatine former Sith master, Darth Plagueis, was a Muun.

The Hutts were far from humanoid but we’re treated much better because of their vast resources and wealth. I read that Hutt space retained their autonomy during imperial rule as long as they paid their taxes and maintained trade.

Individualism is better than race. Cuz even average IQ is basically generalisation which is just pure racism. You can rank people based on their race because even within the race the merit differs drastically. An African can be smarter than a German, because the IQ distribution is a real thing. If you began discriminating based on race that would lead to the african being unfairly treated, for no absolute reason. If you dont think everyone deserves equal opportunity to develop and have the freedom to achieve their dreams, thats a debate for another time(which im not gonna waste my time on). Now the problem lies, why should the race benefit from an accomplishment made by an individual whom committed nothing to made that happen. My ancestors conquered the world(Im Portuguese), not me. So I applaud them for it, not myself. If a person achieves something for themselves they should be held superior, all though the logic behind their race should be appreciated for it is rather self serving dont you think. I believe you havent studied history verymuch to realise if it werent for the scientific and philosophical revolutions of Persia, India and China; the west wouldve never advanced. Right now the hierachy is non-extistent, its quite ridiculous to even think about. The president of the United States was once a black man, Barak Obama. The vice president of the United States is an Indian women. The secretary of state of the USA is a black man. The Prime minsiter of Britain, The first minister of scotland, and the head of state of Ireland are all Indian/pakistani men. Vivek ramaswamy(billionaire) who is currently topping president trumps VP picks. (Yes Im a conservative saying this). The wealthiest family in britain is not even british, they are indian. All though as society has progressed these backward values has only decreased. When humanity advances into transcendence I believe they can let go of prejudice and rely on logic. My mentor was a brown muslim man from Asia, who currently runs a 50 million dollar startup named Jibble(You can search it up); He used be a vice president at Morgan Stanely. According to him not once in his career had he experienced any instance of racism, discrimination or hate for being muslim or brown. this was the case even after 2001, at the height of islamaphobia. Why? well according to him, those individuals knew better than to rely on racism rather than merit. Thats due to them being educated and having earned their place in society. All major fields such as Tech, Finance, Healthcare, and etc are some of the most meritocratic places on earth. I remember first time seeing Mos Eisley scene when Luke sees all those different aliens I was amazed and terrified at the same time. I think I was impressed most by Ithorians and Talz. I miss that there are so few alien characters in SW movies. I wish they give us Thrawn or at least some twi'leks, torgutas characters.

I think star wars is meant to shows us how easily brutal regimes can become so powerful, the empire reminds us of the third Reich, which had many similar policies to the empire, even the generals in the empire relate to the Nazis generals, for example, grand admiral thrown who was seen as inferior is like Erwin Rommel, who was also classed as inferior because of his wife father's Jewish ancestry. That's what I love about star wars, it teaches us a valuable lesson whilst giving us an interest in something fanatical.

The hierarchy wasn't exactly a thing during the late Republic. Human supremacists existed, but it wasn't until the Clone Wars it became a much bigger thing. Hego Damask didn't enter politics because that's not where his aptitude was. He was a shrewd businessman and a great political strategist, but wasn't charismatic or necessarily good at the direct face-to-face political stuff. His apprentice was far more talented in the skills needed for politics, so that was his job

I have a feeling that the trandoshans were somewhere in the top of the non-human category due to their role as slavers and taskmasters. Grueling working conditions shouldn't mean much to a droid, as it wouldn't need to suffer pain or physical discomfort. Being treated like objects is another matter, essentially relegating them to a slave class.

Togrutas in both the legends and canon wiki say they’re humanoid/sentient. I feel like because of their head tails and diet, they’re too alien to be considered human. Which is weird, because twi’leks are considered near human and can interbreed

Yeah, in the legends wiki some are so closely human they’re sometimes confused as human. In the book Force Collector one of the main characters is a human/mirialan hybrid

@@ZumbieGuy Honestly many people inside and outside the star wars universe considers Mirialans to be humans who left Notron (Proto-Coruscant) so early on that when they arrive to their planet they evolved into this group. I think if they stop tattooing their face they can easily be considered human. Not even just near human.

Does anyone find it funny how they built up the whole human are the superior race just cos George couldn't afford to make alternative shape to the Stormtrooper armors? (This is my assumption not that it is confirm by Gorge himself).

Ironically Trandoshans were one of the non near human species that were treated well in the empire as they were allied with them. And even let them enslave wookies, which the empire also did themselves.

I think the Alien heriarchy goes like this: Humans - very bangable Near humans - pretty bangable Sub- near humans - _if you're brave enough_ Non humans - furry Droids - "degenerates like you belong on a cross"
