📋 INGREDIENTS
Dough:
20 g fresh yeast (0.7 oz)
150 ml lukewarm milk (2/3 cup)
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon of sugar
500 g all-purpose flour (4 cups)
A pinch of salt
1 egg
2 tbsp sugar
250 g butter (1 and 1/10 cups or 2.2 sticks)
Poppy seed filling:
200 ml milk (3/4 cup)
100 g poppy seeds (3.5 oz)
3 tbsp vanillin sugar
Quark filling:
100 g quark (3.5 oz)
3 tbsp vanillin sugar
To smear:
50 g butter (1/4 cup or 1/2 stick)
100 g powdered sugar (3/4 cup)
3 tbsp vanillin sugar
Bake: 180°C (about 350°F) for 15 minutes on top/bottom heat

    Ďakujem ti, že si mi spravila krajšie Vianoce tým, že si mi týmto receptom pripomenula moju milovanú babičku. Piekla nám tieto koláče ako deťom a dávala do nich ešte aj orechovú plnku alebo slivkový lekvár. Takmer cítim ich vôňu. Volali sme ich šatôčky. Ďakujem ❤

    Ja sind Kolatschen und ist kein vergessenes Gebäck bei uns in Österreich bekommt man sie überall und können auch aus Blätterteig gemacht werden

    Das sind Kolatschen. Gibt es bei den Tschechen an jeder Ecke. Ich backe das schon seit Jahrzehnten,man kann ja nicht dauernd wegen Kuchen ins Ausland fahren.... Wenn man gleich Quark und Mohn zusammen rührt ,ist die Masse fluffiger. In die Mitte mache ich gerne noch einen kleinen Klecks Pflaumenmus

    She is referring to German Quark. It is hard to find in the U.S. but can be bought on-line. There are also instructions how to make it from scratch on KZread.

    Tvaroh je, keď kvalitné kyslé mlieko jemne a pomaly zahrievaš (maximálne 70°C) a potom preleješ cez sitko. Alebo existuje aj druhá možnosť, že do čerstvého teplého mlieka pridáš citrónovú šťavu alebo o ocot, necháš zraziť a preleješ cez sitko. Tvaroh a smotanový syr v žiadnom prípade nie je to isté!!! Smotanový syr by vytiekol z koláča von.

    You can also find fresh yeast in most supermarkets in the refrigerated dairy/baking section. If you substitute with dry yeast, you have to adjust the amount - I think you cut the fresh yeast amount by half when using dry yeast but check on-line for references to be certain.
