We know they’re planning an interlude between Snezhnaya and Khaenri’ah from the Travail trailer as they censored the Chapter number for Khaenri’ah. I love this idea tho, to add to this, I think the playable Harbingers would side with us and aid in convincing the Tsaritsa with out plan as long as it does not go against the Fatui’s main goal. This way, there are still some “enemy” Harbingers like Dottore but some friendly ones like Childe

8:33 if you have Neuvillette you probably know it, but in his serenitea pot dialogues Neuvillette mentions that he wishes to travel all across Teyvat in near future. So it is highly possible that you theory on him acompaning us is true

it’s so crazy how there’s a whole separate part of the world outside of teyvat (i.e. the dark sea) that we have learned hardly anything about. i would LOVVEEEE to venture there; manifesting we have a story quest there

I think we will visit Khaenri'ah during 4.X. Zooming out on the world map after opening all Chenyu Vale, you can see a pyramid shaped section between Chenyu Vale, Fontaine and Sumeru. The "Door" to Khaenri'ah is under this area. This area should be opened sometime during the 4.X expansion. I really want to open that door!

I just had a weird realization. Zhongli giving up his Gnosis was part of the contract he signed with the Cryo Archon (or Signora on her behalf). Which means, to some degree, he has aligned with her goals, which are rather common knowledge to be opposing the Heaven Principles and Celestia. Neuvillette also opposes Celestia, and though so far its mostly his internal thoughts, it just makes sense given what he is. Now the finale of the Lantern Rite indicates a few things about Zhongli and Neuvillette, despite not coming in contact. One, Zhongli knows Neuvillette is a dragon sovereign. That's just obvious. Whether or not he knows a Throne has been destroyed, or that Neuvillette has reclaimed the Hydro Authority, is speculation at best however. He's probably heard word of Focalors' death though. Two, Zhongli actively avoided engaging with Neuvillette, despite having a clear opportunity to meet and talk, and was skittish about it, something very out of character for him. Three, Zhongi seems to harbor intense animosity against Neuvillette despite supposedly never having met him. This seems to indicate that despite going against Celestia with his contract, he still very much has a conflict with Dragon Sovereigns. Now, this could mean Zhongli got some hereditary kind of racism passed down from tales of Gods before his time, but it opens up the possibility that when the First Descender arrived and warred with the Dragon Sovereigns, Zhongli *was there*, making him far older than we've speculated so far. Probably recruited by the Primordial One in the invasion. It would also explain Zhongli not wanting to risk engaging a dragon sovereign alone, even in conversation. Even if it's not purely out of fear, it's enough to give him pause. Lastly, I believe this Zhongi/Neuvillette "conflict" is also an indication of the Cryo Archon's true goals. Now at this point, I think her going mad with a desire for personal power would be just bad writing. It's becoming more and more clear that taking down Celestia is her goal, or rather one of them. I think the twist is that, despite all the collateral damage and no holds barred approach she's taking, she wants to destroy not only Celestia, but also the dragon sovereigns themselves. She wants the time of Gods and Dragons to come to an end and bring in the age of mortality. Would've said humanity, but there's too many other non-Godlike species for that. There's been enough oversight and now it's time for the people to rule themselves, and the only way to ensure that is to remove all Powers That Be. Given Zhongli's interest in retiring and leaving Liyue Harbor to rule itself, this would be something he could get on board with. He knows his time is coming to an end and he believes mortals are ready.

Based on Zhongli's voicelines about Furina, he knows of her contract with Focalors and its fulfillment. He seems impressed by such resolute adherence to such a strict contract.

I think instead of letting the time of gods and dragons comming to an end she instead wishes for everyone to finally be at peace with one another even if humanity can’t take care of themselves it’s made clear in lore that without gods they start to get greedy with power with liyue and mondstadt being the only exception but with there gods properly guiding them and since out of the rest of the seven they have more belief in venti and zhongli since they were there god for thousands of years so instead of humanity ruling themselves I believe it’s more so bringing every body to unity there have been so much pain and suffering because of Borge the gods dragons and humans alike I mean Sumeru locked up there god for 500 years simply because they didn’t like her or she lacked knowledge so who’s to say in the distance future it won’t be a repeat of history it’s clear from both sumerus and Fontaines people that humans are unappreciative the people of Sumeru even tried to create a new god because they didn’t like the current one they had or more specifically the sages and when furina became the “hydro archon” and try to act like her natural self the people started questioning her saying that gods had to be all powerful and that she was being too modest and it was at this point we’re furina had to put on a more extravagant act just to save them even though folcalore says that trusting humanity was the good decision there has to be more then that in order for humanity to be trusted you must guide them to make the better decision to me I believe in the end we’ll go to celestia defeat them destroy the archon thrones to give back the authority of the seven elements to the dragons but not before gaing there trust and since the archons are the most important factor in genshins lore and face of the game during anniversary art were likely going to fight celestia together with them while we fight dain at the sea of flowers it’s probably not as accurate but it seems more plausible I guess I’m really saying is in order for teyvat to prosper the gods the dragons and all being alike will hav to come together in unity

If we are the tenth seat that would make a lot more sense than some random person we don’t know about for years.

@@atlam928 don't think so, the abyss sibling would have met the Tsaritsa or Pierro within the first 100 years after the cataclysm at a time they would have been looking for members like Rosalyn. Additionally the Fatui hate the abyss, at least as much if not even more than Celestia. The Chasm quests say as much. Even if the abyss sibling was a member of the Fatui, it would follow practically the same reasoning as Diluc's father being the 10th -> a traitor

@@-nery- Tartaglia was said to be stronger than Traveler during 2.2 so stronger than Signora too(since Traveler beat her). During Fontaine AQ, he was stalling the Narwhal for 40 days without dying(and the Narwhal was invincible thanks to PS during those 40 days). After 40 days of constant fighting he still did better vs Narwhal than Neuvillette did without his authority. Tartaglia with Foul Legacy has to be at least top 5 strongest Fatui member,maybe even top 4(strongest besides top 3). Yet despite all this he is still ranked 11th

Theres a LOT of characters that have either NO story quests or incomplete ones (with more to come) the may be released peacemeal or they may come out in a big chunk after schneznaya before we reach the end of teyvat;s storyline all these character threads need to be closed off so theres a LOT of content that needs to be done there.

We will certainly have a long chat with the Tsaritsa. She has to tell us about the deal she made with Zhongli and id like to know why she cut ties with Venti. Also their thoughts on descenders and the Sovereigns. Well probably decide on whether we will ally with the Fatui based on what she shell tell us. I wonder if the words on the Cryo gemstone are directed towards us 🤔🤔 Id definitely love an explanation for the seemingly empty 10th seat too. Its very existence seems to imply that someone held it before Childe joined because randomly putting him at 11 would be strange. We have nothing on #10 but theories. Traveler becoming a harbinger would certainly be interesting. Idk if it would happen between Snezhnaya and Khaenri'ah but surely at the latest thats when Varkas expedition would return to Mondstadt. Very curious about what theyve been investigating. While im sure theyll expand on Sovereign stuff, id also like to see some Hexenzirkel movement. Really worried about potential Celestia movement after Natlan though and what that could mean for the nations and us.

6:38 exact point i thought of playing xianyun quest,they directly set up old memories as playable quest.idk why it took them so long to realise that making stories and lore playable or at least visible instead of just text ,yapping or just written in books,but its nice that we can possibly get good experience in later interlude or archon quests

I've been thinking of a theory similar to this too but mine is the gnosis are red herrings and the archon seats are the real power holding celestia, the gnosis got powercreep since they revealed it's only a body of someone out of teyvat. what I want is similar to what neuvilette wants bcos it's an easy plot to bring focus back to the archons, the tsaritsas plan obviously fails and zhongli knows it will for him the gnosis was only a mora making tool but the real power is the consciousness of the people and connection to the irminsul. I want venti, furina and ei (plus others) be like the unwilling hero like shinji from evanglion. Then the plot branches into the two travelers and daensleif.

I think traveling back to the other nations before the final boss would be so cool!

This honestly sounds like such a fun idea! I would love to hage an interlude every patch with a different Harbinger every time. I don't think the 10th seat being saved for us will be plausible, but would be interesting to see if they will deny or confirm Crepus having that seat before. Also, I would really enjoy having an interlude with Dottore :3c What batshit insanity will we see!! And another series of interludes with the Sovereigns would be amazing!! I can only imagine seeing Apep's reaction to Neuvilette. Imagine if we can finally know what about the Electro Sovereign. Personally, I think we should have a series of Interludes with the Hexenzirkel and Surtalogi's group as well. Just want to see what lore bombs they would drop

Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I actually hope we don't go down the "Harbinger Traveler" route, or that they try to redeem the Fatui as a whole. At this point, especially given their actions in other regions, I think it would make more sense for most Harbingers to stay as opponents for the Traveler, with only a few being occasional allies (like Childe, Scara and Arlecchino). For example, working together with Dottore and still interacting normally with characters like Collei and Diluc would be way too weird imo, especially if there's no narrative repercussions for it.

people that say working with Dottore would be weird makes me laugh because he was probably the least hostile harbinger towards Traveler other than Arlecchino 😭😭 he may lack morals when it comes to his experiments but he avoids conflict when he can

Eh, less "least hostile" and more "he already had what he wanted in Sumeru, so he left us alone because there would be no point in fighting us when Scara would already do it for him". With Arlecchino, we were working together for a common goal... which I really don't see happening with Dottore. Sure, he avoids conflict when it's pointless, but I'd argue he's easily the most villainous of the Harbingers so far. So yeah, it would be weird imo.

Still dont know how they're gonna make dottore likable. I mean the guys hurts children and sweet collei. He does wear the mask so i think hes not playable.I still have my reservations on arlechino cause she basically makes child soldiers and brainwashes them through the need for loyalty

@@eggi4443 Dunno about that, since most of them were destroyed. Sure, he can make more, but he does say the process is resource-intensive, so not sure how many he'll make before we meet again. And even then, they'd have to pick a clone at a really early time when Dottore (possibly still as Zandik) was not as he was today. Then again, maybe it could at least make an interesting parallel to something that happens in Honkai Impact involving Otto Apocalypse. Who knows.

Here's my take on this one we , the travelers will NOT side with Celestia,Abyss with our sibling , and the Fatui but instead we will fight them with our own ideals and our side is the entire humanity of teyvat since when you think about it whenever these factions have conflict with each other humanity is always the victim

Given his voicelines about the archons, I doubt Neuvillette will act as a mediator...more likely he will attempt to take them out.

Think about this for a second: The amount of time that has passed since the release of Inazuma, is the amount of time we need to wait until this supposed interlude chapter would release. Crazy huh?!

i always thought when real lore drop sequence will arrive in genshin or we will be nearing end of genshin how much content we will have and i can imagine people complaining at that time also due to high content like desert....

For mi part I don’t think if we do get a mission of all the harbingers that all of them would be in good favor with the traveler or the better good or to be more precise I think it would be more interesting if we discover that some of the harbingers have outer motives that don’t align with the tsarizta plan and that they are just as evil or more evil then celestia and more likely the mission would be to see who is more trustworthy with the cause again not all of the harbingers should be in good terms or interested in the grater good of the world similar to how the larens family is still the bad guys except Eula soo it would be interesting to see the that only like half of them are trustworthy and the others aren’t example the doctor could just be plain evil and only joined the harbingers for his own gains and motives so some of the interlude missions would be just that who really is compromised with the mission and who just joined for ulterior motives

There is a small possibility that we get to khaen'riah before even Natlan with Liben Dialogue and the fact that we already know the entrance to the fallen kingdom. Also in your theory, Celestia might do some counterattacks against Teyvat during this massive interlude. Especially with what happened in Fontaine.

I Wonder what the archons feelings about the Tsaritsa and her plans are because we’ve seen the archons not really fear is disagree with the fatui and even make deals with them and let them run about their business. We’ve seen them all fairly willingly give up the gnosis (though the trades for them were also a big deal) but do they agree with the big plan in some degree or is it just that they think the trade offer is equal enough to give it up and not step in whenever the fatui are around.

there's some books in-game that proves that Dvalin is not a Sovereign. In fact he's an elemental dragon and he was born after Barbatos officially becomes an Archon.

Dottore got the Dendro one from Nahida, and Arlecchino got the Hydro one from Neuvillette. Both were unfortunately off screen so we don't know what they look like.

The only cause of interlude I can imagine is Pierro betraying the tsaritsa, yeah I know cliche. But I still don't buy Celestia being as evil as they want us to believe. Plus why tell us that the person who can save the sustainer have yet to appear ?

Iirc the line goes like this "the sustainer is dying, the creator has yet to arrive,But the world shall burn no more, for you shall ascend." There's no mention of someone saving sustainer it hints creator was expected to arrive but have not arrived yet but if we ascend we can save it

The sentence going like ''celui qui pourra la sauver n'as pas encore fait son apparition'' Translated it's mean ''the one who can save her have yet to appear'' With a little search I believe you can find it easily. You can even try in your game

If, and I say IF because I don't know where Genshin story is heading to, if there's a group of Snezhnayans hostile towards the traveler and Paimon, that's gonna be the harbingers. I mean, the leader is a survivng Khaenrian high priest or something of the sort, that man is probably ploting his own stuff. I bet the Tsarista won't have his people's loyalty on her plan, and she will end up with more than one knife on her back. And we will probably joing the tsaritsa and those very few harbingers willing to join us and stop the impeding doom that is closing over all Teyvat. Arlechino, probably, Childe and the wanderer, most likely, maybe Capitano. But the harbingers will not be good guys in any capacity, and the rest will play the role of villains and bringers of destruction. And this is where the abyss order comes to play. We know their intentions aren't good, but they are actively against the Fatui aswell, they are enemies even if their goals seems the same. So there's a couple, very important pieces of the puzzle we're missing, and that's why I'm really hyped by the next two Dainslieff quests. We don't know what are the plans of our twin. Our twin seems a good person since our traveler is so adamant in finding him or her. So he or she must be doing this for a reason. If I have to bet with the info we have now, I say Teyvat is gonna face a final calamity much worse than Khaenri'ah, and it will involve a multi faction, 4 side war for how it will end. The seven nations and it's archons fighting for the preservation of the world, the side we will be in (and yes, I said THE SEVEN, Tsaritsa and Snezhnaya included), the Harbingers trying to gain absolute control of the world, the gods of Celestia trying to erase it all and the Abyss trying to erase Celestia. However I don't think either of those will be the Big Bad Evil Guy. The BBEG will be what all of those are trying to avoid. Whatever lies dormant in Teyvat's underbelly, what Celestia don't want to awoke. There's something down there, in the deepts trenches of Teyvat's deep entrails. Something destined to be the herald of Teyvat's destruction, it's final doom, and it's victory is certain as fate already teach us that lesson in Fontaine. There's nothing in Tevyat that can stop it, but us, since we're this external factor that escapes everyone an everything's gaze. I really don't know what Hoyoverse is gonna pull, but it seems they've already planned it and that is a good thing. Planned stuff create the best endings. That's my bet, but hinestly I'm not quite sure of anything at this point.

Theory: chapter 6 we meet the Tzaritsa. She will be a total ice queen and we melt her heart, because otaku tropes. It will end with Pierro betraying the Harbingers or discovering that Venti’s Gbosis was fake. Chapter 7 is the rest of Mondstat, and Venti’s second personal quest.
