Being in the same building as him the night he came back after 7 years is amazing

I just love how Mox takes his sweet time to turn around and finally look cm punk in the eyes. It's a great touch, a nice character moment to show his defiance, his lack of respect for Punk. Just all-round an amazing end to the show

Yea I loved it but interpreted it differently - I took it as him saying "it's cool, I've got this" that he didnt want/need back-up. That plus the middle finger, bumping shoulder etc made for a typically bad-ass Mox moment. Awesome

Be honest guys, it was the total opposite that he was going for. He was pissed that Punk, a legit mega star in the business, was taking his shine, and he did his best to minimalise the moment. He went into business for himself. Be real, he tried to make it come across as a "Whatever 🤷🏻‍♂️" moment.

Mox and claudio at the end of the segment with punk in the background felt really really strange and awesome at the same time. It felt impossible to even imagine that at one point and now we are here. Road to all out has just began

Well they told us that his recovery wasn't going as well as expected and we were thinking he probably wouldn't be back by All Out. Either they were misdirecting us, his recovery suddenly took an upswing, or he's not even nearly ring ready yet but is good enough for an on-camera return at least.

Moxley is a true wrestling professional. He made the interaction between him and punk even better by not having his teammates get in the ring. You can see him waving them off. It made the moment even better by doing that.

That POP for CM Punk was amazing! It’s wild how quickly we get used to something and how quickly we miss it when it’s gone. It showed in his return then and it shows now.

That's how you end a pro wrestling show. Missing this on AEW TV for some time.

It was the infamous pipebomb. In an era were everything was PG and Cena was being shoved down everyone's throat for the past 5 years. Punk brought back Attitude and was standing up to the boss and breaking the rules. His whole character felt like straight out of the attitude era and everyone loved it.

Punk looks like he's in great shape and has beefed up a bit. With such a quick recovery on what's a normally lengthy injury, gotta assume he had some help. Regardless, he should keep it up because he actually looks the part.

@Naseef Zarif it aged fine. This was after he had already came back, and got injured and came back again. He looked better here than at the original comeback. Then the shit with the elite happened so they cut him loose. He'll be back in a couple weeks.

I did not expect Punk to return already, especially not after having just seen him attending the San Diego ComiCon with his foot in the cast... I guess he was already healed but AEW took the chance to lure us into believing that his injury was worst than expected. Which gives me hope for another triumphant return to close the circle.

The way Punk is in the ring is legendary. Not just his fighting, but his words, his looks, even the way he just stands there and reacts with the crowd. His charistma is untouchable. Most people love him, many don't, but you have to respect his impact on the whole Wrestling world. I mean alone this crowd here. AEW has Cm Punk, Chris Jericho, Kenny Omega, Christian Cage, Sting, The Hardys and so much more with a legendary reputation and all of them are still active in the ring.

That would've worked amazingly as well but that would mean the BCC would likely break up if Danielson wanted to challenge Mox for the belt. CM Punk vs Danielson after all these years would be incredible though. Danielson is a technical genius but Punk can get down on the mat too if you've watched his work in the past. Plus if Punk does remain champion after Mox and Danielson, it could make for a perfect return for MJF to dethrone Punk thus continuing that rivalry. Both Punk and MJF work perfectly together such as Rock/Austin or Savage/Hogan

Omega might come back tomorrow (even though I'd wait a little bit ti creat more hype). I expect MJF to be back at any moment from All Out onwards. Pretty much seems to me that they'll feud him with Punk, this type with MJF having an anti-system/anti-Tony Khan touch to his gimmick

Seeing cm punk and jericho in the same ring after 10 years of their rivalry brought me such memories.

Hell yeah. AEW has been good but felt like everything was waiting for Punk to return. Hopefully they kick it into overdrive now.

AEW is just getting better and better I'm invested in all the wrestlers the story lines are just flowing,I haven't been this invested in wrestling since the Attitude era Ty TK you get wrestling it shows.

People say he's too old, that he needs to go, that he shouldn't be a champion, but look at the views here compared to anything else this week! CM still draws, so he's going to be around.

Have to say, "Cult of Personality" is one of the greatest Wrestling Themes ever. It matches Punk in a way that's not easy to find. Not since Austin and his Broken Glass do I feel a theme so closely connected to the wrestler.

But even if Mox has outside help, he is proven, where Punk is returning and has spent much of that injured. But if it stays fair, I will be happy with either winning, because the promos will be wildfire great!!

EVERY TIME AEW comes to Minneapolis you tear the place up real good, and I LOVE IT.

Remembering the days when guys like sheamus cena randy punk used to align everyweek on raw smackdown to face the heel shield. Especially the shield surrounding the ring from three different sides before giving them a big triple powerbomb. Shield and their members have grown so much. Arguably three of the biggest stars to be produced in the 2010s. This is going to be a treat.

It was also cm punk's idea for the shield, cm punk pitched moxley, Seth and kassius ohno was suppose to be the third member not Roman. But management was high on Roman so he became the 3rd shield member.
