The Adventures & Rifle of Arapahoe Harve
Harvey S. Faucett, also known as Arapahoe Harve and the "Eagle of the Trail," led a life that reads like a dime store novel. In one chapter of his fantastic story, he met a life-long friend and earned his beloved Peabody-Martini "Kill Deer" rifle.
From Providence Machine Co. this rifle, as presented by Harve's friend Zechariah Chafee, is a well-preserved object of the American West that remembers a life well-lived and an incredible 300-mile adventure from Deadwood to the rails at Sidney, Nebraska.

Another great history lesson 😊. I hope the new owner takes as much pride in that firearm as he did.
A fantastic story!
Beautiful rifle and a great story about it, thank you for sharing it, hope there’s a video of this auction, probably too much for me to spend though lol.

Great vid.many Thanks 🦆🦆
This was a fantastic story ! No disrespect, but this story really should've been recanted by Joel. I'm sure that this story inspired the writer of "Lonesome Dove". At least a little bit
Nice rifle.
You wouldn't find me fighting the Germans in World War I or World War II in the Black Hills with a single-shot rifle.
