I'm going to go ahead and be the "um, akshually" guy on this one. I think you are right about what the artist WANTS the Latin to say, but the jumbled cases lead to weird translations like, "Villains in heroes and [in] the rest," and, "Villains by means of heroes and [by means of] the rest." In fact, if you Google translate each one separately, they come up in exactly these cases, so I suspect that was the artist's method--but Google translate is notoriously bad with inflectional languages. It should be "heroes nebulones ceterique," and even then "nebulones" is more for rogues and rascals than villains in the sense intended.

@@cheem7807 ehhhhh, i feel like it would be going a lot better if the world was fleshed out more so we could actually see the state of the world that’s implied to be bad. Or if there were fewer unnecessary plot twists. Or if Travis didn’t tell Griffin he is in fact a Warlock. Or if he didn’t make up fantasy slurs so his pretend racist naval captain could call Argo a slur. Or if he just had one plot and stuck to it. Or if he could learn to “yes, and” instead of “no, but” (Especially in terms of player agency, the ending of the episode before the last was amazing, and I hope to get proven wrong again. The biggest example of this was the reveal that the big bad had secretly been railroading them the whole time, and how often he uses allied NPCs with way more power than the players.)

@@weedAndTransRights fair fair, from a game rules perspective you have a good point, also I agree with you that the world could be more fleshed out. But from a purely story perspective I think it's still pretty good. He does railroad a good bit but I honestly don't care all that much about that, and it seems like justin Griffin and Clint don't either lol. I mean I think it's not as good as amnesty and it'll never be as good as balance, but it's still a fun listening experience I think

I think travis knew people had such monumental expectations for him that when he came in that he put in too many plot twists and characters, which made it really confusing lol. Griffin should come back though eventually, travis clint and justin are good but they'll never be as great as our dungeon master, best friend and random obligatory third thing

Holy shit, Griffin's music is getting so good that this is a very real career for him after he's done with podcasting, whenever that is. This is incredibly, incredibly good. You know it's a Griffin track when there's that little bit of chromatic scales in places you don't expect, and it has that sort of earthy Appalachian but very poised instrumentation. He's an extremely evocative writer when it comes to scoring. The Amnesty theme was maybe my favorite part of the entire show -- it managed to condense the whole plot into 50-60 seconds of music, lilting back and forth between major and minor tonality in very prescient ways. That plagal kind of 4-1 cadence (the "amen" cadence") -- that is a Griffin track for sure. Tabla drums? Dude. Also, getting very strong Fantasy High (Dimension 20 from College Humor, in which the McElroy family will be appearing on the next show) vibes from this.

yes but theyre not in the right cases. It should say "Heroēs Nebulones Ceterique" and then you dont need commas to differentiate the two nouns and the adjective certi that is grammatically separated by the suffix -que

@@petrosantares5362 well, long story short, the hero/villain system was never shown in any sort of detail, the "school" aspect of the story was essentially dropped after the first 10 episodes, the main characters never experience a single meaningful fight, new npcs are constantly brought in without giving any development to the ones that already exist, the villains' plans make no sense, the players are firmly railroaded onto a very specific plan that also makes no sense, mind control is used frequently to force player characters to do what travis needs them to do for a scene to work, cliffhangers are often completely dropped at the start of the next episode, argo's backstory hook is completely fumbled by travis, also travis repeatedly pushes characters toward things they don't want to do (romance plot with rainer for fitzroy, lying for firbolg) and then those things are completely dropped later without mention, and also they invoke the "white savior" trope with the centaur tribe by coming in and stopping a religious war by destroying/stealing tribes' precious cultural artifacts because they "don't actually matter" and also they're the only ones special enough to literally meet these tribes' god despite literally being some random college students, also at one point travis has a character push the players into a drug party (despite one not wanting to) and has said drugs ("a mixture of lsd, ecstacy and shrooms") be the resolution to part of a player's character arc, and also more things but im tired of typing

I hope this mean we get an another episode of my actual favorite podcast: The The Adventure Zone Zone.

I saw the trailer at the NY Live Show last night, but I won’t spoil it for anyone. I’ll just say that it looks really fun

God the soundtrack is AMAZING!!!

I’m currently in the college app process, and this sounds exactly like one of those pretentious videos they always play. I love it!

Dust was one of my favorite mini arcs you all did. Glad to see you're back with some more Travis DM'ing so soon since the last arc ended. :)

this animation style is so cute!! and the new logo is absolutely beautiful

I'm genuinely excited for this new season. The trailer looks amazing and the music is the best and even though I haven't heard it yet I'm so proud of Travis for doing such a good job

Well then, I look forward to the finale's inevitable epic fantasy rendition of Pomp and Circumstance
