Their last names are "Cox" though so I'm not about to start saying 'drop it, Cox!' to a bunch of grade/middle schoolers.

Merle dirty talking some vines is one of the most memorable scenes from Petals to the Metal. In fact, Merle has a lot of good moments in this arc, like "God's gonna kill you with a train" or getting saved from the Octo-car by Garyl.

Your Taako is probably my favorite in terms of body type and ear shape! I also really enjoy that Griffin is depicted as a floaty glowing eye - clever way to interpret his roll at the DM! A+++ animation - would love to see more TAZ stuff from you!

I know I've already told you how much I love this video, but I'm gonna do it again. I laughed so heartily there's tears in my eyes and I can't stop grinning. You did everything perfectly, the facial expressions, the movements, how the characters looked, their style, EVERYTHING! You have such a pretty and pleasant and amazing art style, and I love how you made Griffin a floating eye, and YET you managed to PERFECTLY show his emotions. I love Taako's umbrella, that everyone was wearing nailpolish, how they all looked (they looked exactly right, they literally looked like Magnus, Taako, and Merle), Merle's terrible flirting and excited star-eyed face, Taako and Magnus' singing (just perfect with "let's all bloom" and "here is my penis", Taako's face when Merle started talking dirty, TAAKO'S ADORABLE UMBRELLA WITH THEIR LITTLE FACE, Magnus' sad puppy faves, THE FREAKING BLUSHING FLOWER! The little stars when Merle flirted, the smudged handwriting joke. That you put their little faces like speech bubbles when they were out of frame just EVERYTHING!!! Some people have drawn him in a few but it's rare - I understand the rarity since most of the time the DM is just 'a voice in the sky' with games, but I liked the idea of the omni-present DM eye. Thank you again for the nice comment.

This is the worst thing ever and I am so happy you animated it Also Taako with floppy ears is so good :D His and Magnus's facial expressions are just, deeply relatable

every time i see a TAZ animation Merl and Magnus always look similar but the design for Taako is always diferent, sometimes he's clearly male, an elf and every now and then has a buck tooth, usually he looks like an awakened toothpich, but out of all the inconsistent designs for taako, this one, as a kinda fuller figured bunny human hybrid most likely female is the most outlandish I've seen, and I dont know if it's my favorite or least favorite because of it, all I know is that it's one of the 2

Goddamn arc starts with this and ends with a goddamn tree ripping my goddamn soul out. GODAMMIT GRIFFIN

Taako's horror is everything

That’s a really unique Taako design!

A while back I ran a game of Honey Heist with my parents and best friend (my first time GMing, their very first experience with TTRPGs). I set up a final boss character, and the entire party decided the best course of action was for my mom’s character to seduce him. I ended up having it one-hit kill him with a heart attack because I was incapable of roleplaying it further. I applaud Griffin on his ability to power through and being a much stronger GM than me

Having Justin/taako, Laughing during this scene in the comic instead of justifiably horrified is an absolute crime

so i just finished the petals to the metal arc and needed to cheer up and honest to god this did the trick 1000000% you somehow made a best thing and improved on it so much the expressions and animations were top notch i choked on my milk from laughter.

I'm very late to TAZ having only finished Balance a few days ago but I think this was one of the videos that I watched randomly and convinced me to listen to the podcast? You did such a good job. Chubby Taako is the best, and I am amazed with how expressive Griffin is considering he's literally only shown as an eye. I got so excited when I was listening to Petals to the Metal and heard Griffin ask Clint if he chose Pan because it was the easiest God to remember, because I realised it was THAT scene. So yeah, just wanted to say this is amazing and thank you for making it! 💚

Every few years, I search this back up to remind myself exactly what got me into TAZ. I laugh until I cry, then I wonder what my mental health had to be like to make me want to listen to the rest of this danged thing with this as my intro to it...
