I think this movie was just a lot of fun. It's goofy, some things don't make any sense, and for me that's perfectly fine. Really great performance from Walker Scobell, I'm so excited to see him as Percy Jackson

The mom saw the old Adam wearing the Dad's watch. It's subtle, but she looks down and stares at his arm for a second, looks up, stares at the jacket and says "My husband has a jacket just like that". And old Adam said goodbye to her the way she just says goodbye to young Adam: "I love you, more than you know." That's how she felt strongly that that's Adam.

57:14 The letter ñ (enye) is distinct from the letter n and is essentially pronounced "ny". So for example, Mañana is pronounced "Ma-nya-na" and Saldaña is pronounced "Sal-da-nya". She has stated in interviews that she introduces herself as Saldana because it's easier for english speakers to read and say, but her name is Saldaña, not Saldana. Apparently she's been doing this ever since one of her kindergarten teachers informed her that her name was Saldana because the letter ñ doesn't exist in the English language. That's a little messed up, but I understand since I introduce myself as George because people often have a hard time pronouncing Jorge correctly.

I've learned there are two kinds of Ryan Reynolds movies: those that I have big expectations for that meet those expectations, and those that I have zero expectations for that turn out surprisingly enjoyable, even if they're not amazing. This and Free Guy are the latter. Honestly, I think Ryan could be in anything and elevate to "at least enjoyable" just by being himself. It almost makes me want to go back and watch Detective Pikachu, which I skipped because I had no expectations for it.

Man the bar scene between adult Adam and his mom gets me every time! It's so beautiful and powerful, you can feel both of their emotions especially Adam, he's on the verge of tears the whole time. In just this one scene they had great chemistry and I would love to see Jennifer and Ryan work together again. They never say it but I always have this feeling that she died suddenly too, maybe a few years later or something, maybe from a broken heart but the way he talks about her to young Adam and the way he looks at her at the bar and through the window to me shows years of regret and missing her, maybe he never got to treat her right and realized it until it was too late. Now I thought Maya killed their father but they never mention it at all, younger Maya couldn't kill them and older Maya never brings it up either, only what she did to Laura and their dad makes a point to show her that she was not a killer yet so it's hard to say if she did it or not. But I like to think his death was prevented and his whole life turned out for the better. Also that last scene of him continuously saying I love you was also so powerful, he needed to not only listen but really hear it and his dad knew he had to get it through to him and of course them playing ball is great, I love the music there, so beautiful and again powerful!

Flight of the Navigator, yeah, as well as a bit of 80's flicks like Explorers and Last Starfighter... basically like you said, they found a long lost script. Enjoyable ride though. Amazed at that kid, going from 0 to 60 like that, no other acting experience, no commercials or auditions for other stuff, kid walks in (after the usual 'we can't find anyone') and he knocks it out of the park. Incidentally... if you DO want that one-million subscriber listing, you really should do Looper, it would def get you a bit closer to your mark, lol.

Great movie ! I actually somehow thought first that it was going to be DC related since Adam is a character who uses time travel and such as mentioned in the comics and in the series Krypton. However, to my dissapointment it was not. Ps. To whoever cries or get emotional in the minute of of 31:03 definitely haves some daddy issues (including me). I saw Calvin shredded a tear there for a minute while the others were fine., hehe.

I wstched this film recently and it was fun enough but I kinda felt like I was watching a sequel to a film i hadn't seen where we got to know and care about all of the characters and their relationships to each other rather than just being told what they were any time a new person appeared. I didn't really feel the emotions I was meant to i think. I enjoyed the cast and also the kid is a great actor he definitely did a good young Ryan Reynolds though I think maybe I was a bit too aware it was a young Ryan like i know kids are witty and smart etc but I kinda felt like, do kids talk like that though? 🤣 not that that was his fault. It just felt a bit unnatural to me. But as i say, fun enough!

Don't worry Calvin a dog's front legs have the same bones as humans arms, so they are technically arms. Plus, we knew what you meant and it was adorable.
