I fell in love with both women when I watched this commercial 14 years ago.

Literally whenever I hear the word astigmatism I always think of this commercial. This commercial came around maybe 2005-2006 and I still associate astigmatism with Acuvue Oasys. Now that’s damn good marketing.

Right? I just got diagnosed with astigmatism and the first thing I jokingly said was "which one of me HAS astigmatism"?? Of course he was a Gen z so it went completely over his head. Smh.

it always trips me out tho that they’re twins but they didn’t see each other before school, or the one was keeping her contacts a surprise.

Hey, jada! With astigmatism, light rays entering the eye are focused in two locations, instead of just one, requiring a more complex lens for correction to see clearly. This can result in shadowing or a difference in clarity for vertical lines compared to horizontal lines, for example. Spherical lenses (those not made to correct astigmatism) can only partially correct astigmatism. We hope this helps answer your question!

I have a twin brother and we both wear glasses. Being that, people at school often get us mixed up and do not know which one of us is which. Now, after I have gotten contacts (my brother did not), I think that people are probably going to notice us a little easier. (Fun fact: I also have astigmatism like Sabrina does, so thank you, technological improvements!)

How do you tell which one has the astigmatism by looking at them?

Hi Matt. You might not be able to tell the prescription or type of lens you are looking at, after you remove it from the container. We recommend storing the lens in a proper container in between wears, to ensure safety and quality. If you have more questions about storage, feel fee to reach out to you eye doctor for more details! In the very beginning the girl with the astigmatism had glasses on, so it was easy to distinguish which girl was which. Then the girl with the astigmatism gets contacts so you can't tell the girls apart and that's the point.

I have astigmatism in my right eye and I was wonder do they make colored contacts for astigmatism?

I used to be able to tell apart when I was a kid and saw this commercial, now lurking their Instagram they look so identical even more now and I can’t tell them apart. Also, this commercial is over 15 years old and Sabrina & Kelly are nearly 40 and don’t look a day over 25 years old. That’s what good genetics and working out does for ya.
