Those differences you mentioned is literally what makes T05 the rubber it is. That being said, I don't think everyone would like T05, but rather a more balanced or simply toned down rubber in some of the departments might suit some players better. For example, chopping was pretty horrible on Timo Boll ALC + T05 2mm. Whereas, Vega Pro is good to chop with, as well as all the other things, albeit less feeling. Also Vega Pro has a pretty unique arc on topspin. Vega Pro doesn't engage/lock the ball like T05 does, for that look into omega series, all omega V rubbers has that lock/engage type of feel on the ball (don't know about omega 7). I don't think vpro is factory boosted, but tibhar evolution series is heavily boosted, so it'll wear out in a couple months and you'll have a different rubber afterwards.

Mxp is faster and amazing for blocking and driving but poor for looping. Mxp is also the heaviest rubber. T05 amazing for looping but difficult to control in passive shots due to high spin sensitivity. Rozena is very spin insensitive but feels quite dead compared to other rubbers. It takes away the joy of spinning and feeling the ball but it's great at negating others spin.

Hey, it's a nice surprise that someone is mentioning that! I have been using Palio AK-47 Blue sponge (38°-40°) on both FH/BH for several years now. I got it from Aliexpress back when it was still operating in India. I use Sanwei Fextra 7 blade. The entire setup was dirt cheap (got 7ply blade+rubbers under 2.5k inr back in 2019). Ak47 rubbers are very durable and high performing rubbers and surprise me to this day. I have an aggressive game with lots of top-spin, looping and chops and AK47 rubbers perform wonderfully. I am currently looking for an upgrade to them which landed me on this video.

Well I think there is no identical twin for tenergy 0.5 in all aspects, but it's a fact that there are several good rubbers (like an option) there on the market depending on the player. As the mentioned mx-p that I've tried and I liked a lot. I also like: Victas v 15 extra, gewo nexxus and evolution mx-d. All these are fine for me,but I still have tenergies 0.5 on both forehand and backhand in my paddle. 😂😂😂 But when I'll need to buy new rubbers I'll change... I'll have to choose among the rubbers I mentioned above because tenergy is too expensive nowadays (I think 😭)

I used G-1 on the my backhand for 2 years now. I loved it. It does not have catapult effect. I used MXP and Tenergy 05/64 so I can attest to that. G-1 is very direct. Excellent blocking. It goes where you want to go. I mean, that's what you want for your backhand, right? control. The top sheet also stays sticky for a long long time. Very good for your budget. I left table tennis for six months and I restarted last week again, going to the club regularly. I am now trying Tenergy 05 fx and it is so easy to loop with it (compared to G1)! So I am going to stick with that for a while. So whichever rubber you want to choose depends on what kind of style you want to play with. Tenergy 05 is hard to control though.

Yeah, i thought so too. G1 FH, vega pro BH. Good, but eventually changed to vega pro FH and vega euro BH. On viscaria. Perfect combination for me.vega pro is just a bit easier to engage than g1 in my opinion, with little higher and shorter arc. And vega europe is, of course, a lot softer but very grippy and linear. I think, vega pro and europe come with little booster effect and just need a little "brake-in" to really shine. They will last long.

I think the EL-S is the closest to the Tenergy 05 (in speed, spin, trajectory and feeling) in the Evolution family. Nowadays tons of rubbers offer similar or even better performance than the T05. You can choose nearly any of the rubbers around 40$ and you are just fine. Some are spinnier, some are easier to use, some are faster, your choice. Most likely you will adjust to it anyway.

Life span of EL-S is pretty good and better then MXP. However the weakness of EL-S is that the sponge bottoms out when hitting hard. Shouldn’t be much of a problem for backhands, but a no for my forehand. T05 or MXP does not have this bottoming out issue.
