The Sith will be Trinity from the first episode and the "dead" Jedi killed in episode 5 will be back as the Knights of Ren. We all know that death has no consequences in modern storytelling. So getting "killed" is just a minor inconvenience. And the writers have no new ideas.

Crime #3: The original promise of the program from the "creator" herself, was to offer up the perspective of "The Sith" and - that provides the solicitation of something solely different than what has been delivered - even in this episode. I've been referring to this episode as the car crash between an on-demand series based on STAR WARS content, and a terrible Harlequin Romance Novel - and we, the audience, are the sole-remaining person left alive after the crash. Just terrible.

I think he meant that she "saved" him because as a child, Osha gave him a purpose. But I, most likely, am applying logic to something written by illogical minds. I'm starting to think that in the writer's strike, we may have lost the last good writers in Hollywood.

I suspect that the way Osha is holding the lightsaber pointed at Qimir is not unintentionally showing her to be ignorant but instead it was filmmed that way in order to symbolically represent her double-handed grip on a phallic symbol pointed FROM Qimr, it's source.

@@Letstunein Great! As many describe it, the show is a "slow burn" in the first three episodes (which Disney released at once, then week to week). But the season is 12 episodes, and each is close to an hour long. Shocking, right!? (Looking at Acolyte and it's 30 minute eps) Oh, did you see "Rogue One"? (generally the only Disney SW movie most long-timers consider canon). The title character if the show is a secondary character from the movie. Anyway, enjoy!

Any interaction with the beaver/muskrat/ferret/squirrel with Mae that doesn't include murder = a lost cause. He's the only "being" that can identify that she's not Osha apparently, and - if she was willing to kill a Jedi in public, she'd surely slit that animal's throat and tuck him into a bulkhead void to keep her secret.

One of the highest Writer's Crimes with this show is the crime of omission. With the young twins, we have not only been robbed of being told what the "real story is" - we just don't care anymore because there's been nothing written to have the actors showcase WHY WE WOULD CARE about the young twins, much less the older twins. Mae is a wayward murderer with no allegiance to anyone or anything, depending on the direction of the wind, and Osha - we have nothing in the way of a weather vane to help us understand what any of her potential or already-existing motivations might include. They are both GREY SPOTS on a grey Rorschach test.

Another question: How long will it take "new STAR WARS creators" to utilize the ability of now-dead Jedi to "commune with the living" to share guidance details with those who are still alive? Imagine if Indara's force ghost simply appeared the next day/whatever the "gestation period is"and stated, "Oh, yeah, it was that little girl we met on at the Abandoned Mountaintop Lesbian Space Witch Seamstress' Coven. You now, the one with the twisty-curly-cue on her forehead and the braids? That one. She's all grown-up now, still has the braids and is angry at us for taking her sister in for training. Osha was totally into Jecki, though. She mentioned her flexibility apropos of nothing, which was clearly an awkward attempt at flirting. “Don’t tell me you’ll miss me,” was another flirt attempt. She even offered to take Jecki out on a post-adventure date. “We’ll go to a Cantina and trade stories about Master Sol.” It’s not obvious enough to upset conservative parents, but it’s there. Point is, I’ll be shocked if she turns out to be straight. Don’t forget, she grew up on a planet entirely peopled with lesbians! Her whole planet was gay! No way she’s into Qimir, right? No shot. Then again, this could easily turn out to be an inconsistency in the writing of her character. 🤷‍♂️

You're getting a new sub from me. I don't know who this show is for or how they spent $180million on it when *at least two* episodes so far, 4 & 6, are JUST FILLER. There's no story here. No real mystery, just things that haven't been revealed; no characters- except for maybe Sol, but it looks like they're well on their way to destroying him. I don't even know what story this show is trying to tell: it keeps *saying* the Jedi are oppressive and a dominant police-like force, yet it only ever SHOWS them being incredibly incompetent, so one has to ask- how can those two things be true? They're either oppressive, dominant & competent by default, or they're NOT. Does anyone even care about Osha & Mae? What are their characters? They have no defined personality traits and their actions are inconsistent with *anything* plot-related. 🤦‍♂️

An instant subscriber, for not being a shill. ;) My main issue with shills, and why I call them that, is not because they can't enjoy it (if they really do), but because they don't criticize pretty much ANYTHING. It's all about writing, interesting characters (here it's only Qimir and I'm rooting for him to end everybody) and with an established lore, to actually follow that lore. You're here too! There's no point to theorizing as to do so typically utilizes logic and this show threw that away a long time ago. It is a show that has embraced random and often changing character motives to the point of absurdity. The only thing I feel comfortable predicting is that we have not heard the last of "The power or one, the power of two, the power of many..." In fact, I have a hunch we may even end with Mae and Osha merging into one being called Maeosha and then become "The power of One" and being all powerful.

The writers are very sloppy with the back and forth of the plot on whose side the characters are on. They change sides without any good reasons. They also hint at a potential love interest of the villain and one of the sisters (the villain who mass murdered the Jedi in the forest). At this point I am confused on which sister is which, as their acting is identical without any different personality, unlike other shows where there is a distinct personality difference that is clearly evident. SW is the ultimate meh at this point. The Acolyte has no story, just things happening and people kind of acting & interacting for littte to no reason. It's like a child telling an inprovised story: And then, and then... ect. ect. I believe the reason why is because the writers has nothing they truly want to say, nothing they find meaningful enough to move the plot, no purpose or aim. All they got is emotions and trying to create "moments", much like Zach Snyder or J J Abrams who at least can make interesting images.

Hey there! Still haven't watched a second of this show...as a show. I've certainly seen stuff on all these reviews. Headland has said she thinks this skinny dip and conversation constitutes the beginnings of a "Ship". She wants that. Fundamentally misunderstanding Star Wars. Now, when it comes right down to it, I don't care a whit about Star Wars. But even I know "Shipping" is not what SW is. Ultimately, the whole affair is endemic to the state of filmmaking today. Studios won't do completely new things. But they'll ruin old things by jamming new ideas into them. I understand it a little. They need those young eyes, but aren't willing to lose the old ones. IMO Venestra is not Sith, she is just a corrupt Jedi. She is Quimir's former Jedi master, but is not Sith. If she was Sith, I think her lightsaber would automatically become red. I think Quimir's Sith master will show up close to the end, but it won't be much more than a cameo. The Sith might not even be named, or they may make it Plagus, (even though that makes no sense) because they really want to name drop the prequels. The Sith master may turn out to be one of the mothers... or may not. Something consistent and a bit challenging. I hope you are awesome! Thank you for all the positivity and encouragement!!

Lol it’s kinda bad. I try not to be too hard on it. But the show kinda speaks for itself

I'm the antithesis of a fan of anything Disney has done (the Marvel and Star Wars conveyor belt stuff) but this looks especially bad. Who'd have thought it could get worse than that cheesy space age Vespa "gang" on whatever show that was. To me it seems like Disney has intensified a trend in that more than every creative writing and new creative ideas and IP's are just gone. It's all rehashes, remakes, sequels, and riding on the coat tails of some prior IP. I can't find any movie or shows to watch anymore (watching Sopranos for the sixth time now during downtime at work)... It's like the dark ages.

It’s very hard these days to find good content. I think that’s why I feel so passionate to make my own film. Agree with you completely about Disney! I was so sad when they bought marvel as well. Thanks for watching!!

@@Letstunein I mean, the show is decent a 5.5/10 so far for me because it's not over yet I don't judge a show fully till it's over I watch to enjoy, and if I don't like it I just don't cry about it online. Also I am a huge star wars fan btw been all my life, no life breaking in this series.

@@A21-EDITS21 it’s an ok show, visually for me. With two stand out actors. Being a Star Wars fan, It’s missing the mark for me. Qimir is great though! They should have maybe focused the show on him. I respect your opinion! I’m gonna finish it up, since I’ve decided to review it.
