    True consistency loving star wars fans (the people that only like andor and also maybe rogue only in Disney wars) need to be careful about the references to legends because the shills use that as a shill shield without telling you of the division that took place between the writers... Just like in the 30s to 60s in Hollywood, the EU was divided into two groups, good writers and idealogues (bad writers) and since this took place before the comic and adaptation novel industries got overran completely by the idealogues in the early 2010s, we actually got a lot of good stories that a lot of people didn't notice the divide but there were a lot of bad stories.... So be careful of trusting an idea just because they say it's from legends...

    It’s a spin on a Chinese story. Smilo REN was the first child conceived by manipulating the Force. The witches could not have a boy so they tried to dispose of him. Somebody found him, saved him from death, Sol, who gave him away when he still was a baby. Somebody trained him and he returned to get his revenge on the witches. Upon discovering that the witches had been killed years ago, he sought out revenge. At some point he had learned the truth of his past. Upon leaving the temple he runs into Mae, he can sense something familiar. He does'nt tell her and at some point he manipulates her to be his Acolyte and unknowingly, carry out his plan for revenge. He blames Sol who he feels also abandoned him. Not only that but he blames Sol and the Jedi for robbing him the chance to confront the witches. Or this is Headland, telling her life story through a 180 million dollar, Star Wars train wreck. Her past is conveniently missing from internet bios.

    @@elyrienvalkyr8167 I mean to be fair it's a fairly old problem in action shows/movies. They want big epic fight scenes with lots of enemies but lack the ability to plan it out in a way that makes any kind of sense. That said they are Jedi, some of them know each other very well and with the force can pretty much read each others minds. They should be able to fight in such a way that they never get in each others way and act as one single force. Parying blows for allies, ducking strikes you can't see so your ally behind you can attack and so on. Sadly "The best fight ever" had Jedi act like a bunch of street thugs with led pipes in a drunken brawl.

    I still find the dialogue between the mothers hilarious, because it technically gives the "Father" all authority over their children. Horns - "I Carried Them!" ForeheadTattoo - "Well I Created them!" Which not only shuts up horns, but allows Forehead to have final say in all authority over the children. IMHO - There is an easy way to fix the writing, and keep the Twins and Anakin's uniqueness. Either Artificial Insemination, or Horns was knocked up by a traveling man, then Forehead used the Force/Thread to manipulate the embryo into a force sensitive, female child/twins. There by keeping their uniqueness in creation and birth, and keeping Anakin force born (through Palpatines manipulations according to cut Episode 3 Movie Dialogue)

But then you miss the fact that the Jedi arent really stubborn and are genuinely humble, the fact that the entire scene would still be generally shite and then the fact they still showhorned in a rare af material to make daggers with. Not to also mention that Platoon also admitted that deflecting daggers is a fucking stupid idea to begin with. • Күн бұрын

    @@joshuapratt3593 Eh I can get the expensive side of it, I mean there is a reason the TIE series never got entirely replaced by TIE Defenders which could outmatch ANY other fighter and take on multiple roles. Turns out it was just too damn expensive and resource consuming to make a TIE with shields, hyperdrive, 4 cannons, 2 ion cannons, 2 rocket/missile launchers, a beam slot (Tractor or Magpulse) and with an ungodly amounts of armor and speed. We do have real world examples, I mean look at the Nazis and their Wunderwaffe that always turned out to be a waste of resources to produce.

And that’s without the Lesley Headland upgrade which not only makes light sabers but actively dangerous to use. I wonder if anyone at Disney thought about the implications of this magic material. Wasn’t Dave Filoni supposed to prevent this stupidity?

  • @wolfscar5557

    @wolfscar5557

    Күн бұрын

    Tbf, the whole 'being expensive' thing is kind of a moot point, given the Galactic Empire was doing a bunch of stuff that would cost a whole lot of credits. They were able to build 2 Death Stars, while still having a massive fleet, paying for personnel and so on and so forth. The only reason they didn't mass produce the TIE Defender, was because of Grand Admiral Zaarin and the fact the facilities were destroyed which severely reduced the production of the TIE Defender. Well that and the Empire realized, if a Grand Admiral was going rogue, that could be a problem and you don't want a great ship like the Defender falling into enemy hands. The Empire still produced the Defender, but only in limited quantities. The Defender wasn't just cut out because it was expensive. At least that's the explanation and story reason they gave for the Defender in the EU, which at least makes some semblance of sense. Not sure what Disney Canon has done. Being pricey is kind of a moot point when you control the galaxy and thus being able to get however much money. Money really never mattered to the Empire, because they always had some crazy thing going on with building something extremely powerful, only for it to end up not being used for one reason or another, or at best used in limited quantities.

    Imagine if they showed that the big force push had thrown Jecki and Sol into a rock and temporarily knocked them out (explaining their absence) leaving Yord to take command and organize the rest of the less experienced Jedi to take on the Sith ; giving him a moment to shine. Imagine a brief conversation earlier between Sol and Yord about how Sol was the only master in the group and the rest were all only new knights and students, raising the stakes of that moment. Imagine if during a lull in the battle one of them yelled out to the rest “avoid hitting the armor, it disables our sabers” showing this has taken them by surprise,raising the tension. Imagine if each time a saber got disabled it immediately resulted in the death of that Jedi, causing them to only use the sabers for blocking and giving them an actual reason to use all those kicks and elbows. Imagine if, when Jecki fights the Sith alone she is clearly outmatched and Sol only arrives just in time to see her lose her entire right arm. Imagine he saves her by force pulling her light saber from her severed limb into his left hand and stands over her body wielding duel light sabers. Imagine Jecki cradling the stump of her right arm, suddenly drawing the Wookiee’s saber from her side with her left hand, joining in with Sol to form a 3 saber assault on the Sith, driving him back; showing Jecki as a bad ass not by her undeserved superior ability but by her spirit, courage, determination, and loyalty to comrades. Phrik is in fact the same material used to make the magnaguards’ electrostaffs. It first appeared in Dark Forces 1, then was completely forgotten until Revenge of the Sith (and the tie-in novel leading into it, Labyrinth of Evil) brought it back as the lore explanation for why the Magnaguards can fight back against Jedi. The phrik container that survived Alderaan isn’t like a big shipping container or anything. It was a plot point in Battlefront: Renegade Squadron for the PSP. Bail Organa hid a holocron containing a list of possible candidates for new rebel base locations in a phrik container, like a safe or something, and that’s what survived Alderaan’s destruction.

All people struggle to distinguish between members of a members of a racial group that is not one of the ones they grew up with and where there is significant average difference in appearance between the races e.g. black vs asian vs caucasian. The way you describe it, it is identical to the US system of common law as rendered by the courts (regional, appellate, supreme), with lower courts being able to establish new cannon under the umbrella of higher courts, and higher courts retaining the power to elevate, leave alone, or contradict that lower cannon. Very cool.

The show is nothing but first draft or pre-draft ideas all slotted together to try and make a coherent plot, of which it fails miserably. So much potential, with no actualization of any of the potential, like using high quality ingredients to make cookie dough, then not bothering to bake it and calling it finished.

    - Yoda not only doesn't teach the younglings, he doesn't sense the fight, a group of Jedi being wiped out, or the large use of the force when he was able to clearly detect this in the Prequels halfway across the galaxy. - The Sith hasn't been seen in a thousand years, but apparently, it happened less than a hundred years ago. - They made lightsabers better in this episode, but the Sith could have easily used simple throwing knives to wipe out the Jedi. - Cortosis (assuming they are using this) can also be used as a metal sword instead of just armor. If it can short out a lightsaber, a metal blade can cleave right through a blocking lightsaber and wipe out the defending Jedi.
