💠 The Accepted Sacrifice
🔸 Making a sacrifice is a very good thing and it is from the traditions of Abraham the Friend of God (peace be upon him).
Most Sacred Divine accepts that sacrifice which is accompanied by piety; meaning both the goodness of the act and the goodness of the one performing it; both lawful wealth and pure intention.
﴿إِنَّمَا يَتَقَبَّلُ اللّهُ مِنَ الْمُتَّقينَ﴾
🔸 [God only accepts from the God-fearing] [Quran 5:27].
If the act itself was not done with piety, meaning the wealth was not lawful; or the wealth was lawful, but the one offering the sacrifice was not sincere, but was with ostentation and hypocrisy, then that act is not accepted at all. If the act itself was done with piety, meaning the wealth was lawful, and the one offering the sacrifice was also sincere, but in other aspects, he lacked piety, then his act is accepted, but it does not reach the level of acceptance of perfection and perfection of acceptance;
The meat and blood do not reach God, but the piety of the sacrifice reaches God;
﴿لَنْ يَنالَ اللّهَ لُحُومُها وَ لا دِماؤُهَا وَ لكِنْ يَنالُهُ التَّقْوي مِنْكُمْ﴾
[Their meat will not reach God, nor their blood, but what reaches Him is the piety from you] [Quran 22:37];
🔸 Sacrifice is so honored in Islam that the mention is of "reaching" and not "ascending"!
"﴿إِلَيْهِ يَصْعَدُ الْكَلِمُ الطَّيِّبُ وَ الْعَمَلُ الصّالِحُ﴾" [To Him ascends the good word and the righteous deed] [Quran 35:10], He did not inform of "reaching", He said it ascends and goes towards Him; but whether it reaches or not, it’s not possible by the verse of ascension; but from this noble verse, it is evident that piety reaches God. Since piety is the attribute of the God-fearing, if piety reaches God, certainly the God-fearing one also reaches God.
