I was raised like this… all the bells and whistles of charismania… it’s interesting how easily I moved from this to being a full on witch, it’s like my mind was already primed🫣 Praise God for saving me from this madness🙏🏽

They wait around for someone to be human and make a mistake and try to profit off of embarrassing them and “calling them out” people like them make me happy God didn’t bless me with a mic in my hand because if I had to deal with Christians like that id be too discouraged to preach

The Holy Spirit has placed gifted, empowered men who are immersed in the Scripture and are sound doctrinally, some have left us their impartation in their writings as they lived hundreds of years ago while others live today are even within our community of believers. To eliminate role of other people filled with the Holy Spirit speaking to my life is as dangerous as the warning you have just given which is cultic, entrusting my spiritual development into a personality is idolatry, eliminating the role of sound teachers can lead to mysticism so let's rather strive for balance. Now if my comment betrays a misunderstanding of what you ment you have my humble apology

In the early 90's when I was around 19 years old I was brought to a Benny Hinn crusade. I didn't like the way he looked or sounded. He had an accent that made it difficult for me to understand him. I had never heard of Benny Hinn or the term "slain in the Spirit." As I listened though, he was preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ and of the gift of the Holy Spirit which appealed strongly to me because these were the things I have been reading about in the scriptures during the past few months. Then we began worshipping the Lord and I had never experienced or seen that level of worship ever before (I was thinking "The Lord is real to these people!"). Then as we worshipped Jesus Christ Benny Hinn stated "when I say now, the Spirit will enter into this room." All of the sudden I began to see people in the front rows fall back into their seats as if an invisible hand was sweeping through the auditorium. As I saw this I remember my father telling me that all Preachers are fake and only want your money. I said to myself "if this is not of God then I want no part of this" and I planted my feet and strengthened my stance as the man in the row in front of me fell back into his seat. Suddenly without no human being touching me or laying a hand on me, an invisible force slammed into my chest knocking me into my chair and then onto the floor. I had tears streaming down my face and understood for the first time that the Lord and His Spirit were more real than anything in this world and that all the words of Jesus the Son of God were true (John 14:21 ). 30 plus years later I'm following closer to the Lord than when I first began. This was my experience at one of Benny Hinn's Crusades.

I was in a pentecostal charismatic church for about 7-8 years and I taught much false doctrine myself. I'm out of that false church and am grieved heavily on what I said to people. I was after an experience and a free ticket to Heaven but didn't care or really know scripture well I am extremely thankful that God brought me out of that doctrines of demons church.

It makes me tremble how flippantly and sacrilegiously they speak about Almighty GOD!!!!

This is why I will never stop learning church history. Plus I'm a theology nerd 🤓 I absolutely Love God my Father! It is my job to raise up my children and deciple and council them as best I can. Under my husband's headship. As for a church, I have been praying for a year since we had to move a few states away... for a sound church. So far we have seen lgbtq churches and a lot of other issues I will not attend because of. It has been hard. I pray for a church family and community 🙏 ❤

I found pastor Brett Meador at Athey Creek online to be a wonderful Bible pastor...he goes book by book, chapter by chapter and has a teaching on every book of the Bible because he's been doing that for a decade or two. I won't ever trust a pastor 100 percent but this one I trust the most. He wants everyone to have their Bible when he starts and encourages a Berean attitude to studying. He has a women's study and a men's study called Iron works to help each sex grow as God designed for us. He even covers Biblical prophecy on the first Friday of every month. Please look in to him. His church exploded after he refused to close during covid. Many found him then, including me. I believe you'll like him a lot.

I cannot comprehend watching that poor boy writhing and screaming on the floor and not knowing that is demonic and not at all of the Lord. This is disturbing.

I’m so grateful to God that I found this series. I’ve been praying and for some more clarification on this topic. I came from a Pentecostal/Charismatic background (my family still believes that way). I gave up that life and, for the last few years, am now Reformed even reading the Bible cover to cover like never before. I thank God for showing me the truth through His Word. Keep up the good work. I look forward to more videos. Thanks!

I am also from the same background, my family and friends still there but God brought me and my husband to a church that is reformed after He began reveling these truths while reading His word. I am amazed at how much I believed from a pulpit because I wasn't encouraged to read my Bible. When you do it is all revealed.

Um actually that's tongues of angels 1 Corinthians 13:1, 1 Corinthians 14:2 says no one understands him and he speaks to God so that HAS to mean it's not an actual language and there's no way of proving that wrong cuz you cant tell if something is actually an angelic language so i can get around the fact that its not an actual language like tongues was in acts 2

Being raised in the deception of pentacostalism, I was even told that we test the spirits by our feelings, until I was loosed from that deceptive trap, I really thought I was so gifted in discernment, (as most of my family, still do ) because I "felt" so much, but when I came into the knowledge of His true Holiness, I realize, we believe through FAITH, not of Feelings, I wish my family who still swim in that would just answer my questions , (which they never give me scripture when I did get to ask, when they used to talk to me) But my question would be, If you Never "felt" the spirit again, if you never fell out in the spirit again, if you never felt so connected to a song, would you still believe? Sometimes Gods ways are hard to accept, so I pray for the Lord to help me accept His ways, even if I don't like it, but in searching myself, I find that my own experiences, were Not Biblical, so my question to you, Is this spirit they feel, of the enemy? And do I disregaurd my experiences? Thank you, I have been following you since I seen American Gospel, thank you for your obedience to our Heavenly Father, and the Holy Trinity!

One reason I am no longer a Pentecostal is the utter absence of discernment. And if you try to introduce discernment you get branded as a "Calvinist", "Intellectual", "heresy hunter", etc.

I have been blessed and privileged enough to be under teaching on the Holy Spirit for the vast majority of my life where it was emphasize that He is not to be taken lightly, He is to be revered, obeyed and loved. He is not a side show or used as a means of being silly or drawing attention to ourselves. He is HOLY and should be seen as such!

Where is anything even remotely like this taught in the Bible? This is why this type of "pastor" doesn't teach the Bible. If they taught the Bible people would know this isn't Christianity. It's so sad that these young people will end up being disillusioned and walk away from who they thought was God. I was raised in the AOG and they never taught anything like this.

Thank you, brother Costi, for the timely video on such an important topic! Watching these fragments from Bethel and H. Baker made my stomach hurt 😞, as I’ve been into this madness for 7 years. Thanks God for His saving grace! But I still have one unanswered question regarding the baptism in the Holy Spirit, pointed out by apostle Paul in Acts 19:1 -7. There are many people in the churches, who confesses to believe in Jesus, but have no power in themselves to live a holy life, which comes only through the Holy Spirit, living in us. The disciples also needed the Holy Spirit, to be able to fulfil their calling. So, what is the practical implication of this in nowadays and how the churches, which are not charismatic or Pentecostal, suppose to do it? Thank you.

Yes the charismatic churches remind me so much of the Corinthian church Super spiritual but still very disorderly and babies when it comes to the truth of Scripture

My husband and I left a church that believed Jesus was in modes one time God and then turned into the Holy Spirit. If they believe that that way they unsaved and not going to Heaven? Our focus of our faith has to be on Jesus Christ and Him Crucified! The Holy Spirit will only work in those perimeters.

It’s important to bear in mind, when Jesus outlines the duties of the Spirit before He is given, he states that the Spirit is there to do three things: reprove the world of sin, the need for righteousness, of the coming Judgement (John 16:8 ). And only a few verses behind that in (3), he is said *not* to speak of Himself. The Charismatic movement is nothing short of *Ancient Montanism*

Can you please tell me if the Holy Spirit can be called a mother? Based in we are born from the Spirit ... and other verses.

WHAT IS BLASPHEMY? The act of insulting or showing contempt or lack of reverence for God. (Merriam-Webster) Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven people, but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven. And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven, either in this age or in the age to come. (Matthew 12:31 -32 ESV)

Once God saves you and you are born again, you are saved for eternity. You cannot lose your salvation. If the Holy Spirit left us after we sinned, none of us would have the Holy Spirit anymore after day one. As believers we continue to sin, but we sin less and we are a lot more aware of our sins than we used to be. The Holy Spirit gives us the strength to help us turn from those sins, and live in a way that is pleasing to God. Keep up the good fight, and I hope this helps🙏😌

I can't fully understand if slandering other preachers is from God. Believers should read their bible so as not to be led astray by fault finding preachers. If all those so called 'prosperity gospels' are false prophets, why is it their ministries exists and keep going. Only God knows the condition of their hearts. God said do not judge. May God deal with you in that aspect. Only God can Judge.
