Fantastic overview of some great Sluggers concepts! With Sluggers, it's fun to apply this knowledge when playing casually or even vs CPU. That being said, yes we do have a fledgling competitive scene that might hold another tournament this summer and other events so stay tuned for that :) Thanks for the shoutout and cool analysis. I will say, though, I think Magikoopa is not a bad hitter. I sorta went over it in our latest video but I've completely changed my mind on his star swing and I think it's really good now. Just another way this game continues to surprise me.

It means a ton that you'd watch my video! I'll definitely look forward to future tournaments. I've personally just not had a good time with Magikoopa at the plate, but I won't deny that his star swing definitely has sauce that I'm just not experiencing. However, if I was to truly argue something against you, it'd be Toadsworth. Man can hit and pitch with good chemistry and you place him in F tier. Toadsworth is the hill I will die on and I think his qualities as a hitter and pitcher atleast put him higher than that. Anyways, thank you for the comment! Big fan of you guys

My brother and I loved playing Mario Super Sluggers. It would get pretty heated. Let me take you back to the core memory 4 years ago, My younger brother and I are playing against each other in a close game. It's the bottom of the last inning. My brother is at bat with 2 outs, a guy on base, black dry bones up to bat, and down by 1 point. two strikes in, I thought it was over and just thew a fast ball down the middle. Suddenly contact is made and the screen highlights it. This ball is flying on course to leave the stadium for a walkoff homerun. My brother starts feeling relief as he just pulled out a victory, but his face goes to fear as he sees my two outfielders have chemistry together and he realizes that I can do a buddy jump and catch his homerun. I'm there contemplating if I should choose mercy and throw the game, but my brother starts trying to block me by stepping in front of me and trying to take my wii remote. I lock in and double tap "a" at the right time to catch the ball before it leaves the stadium. I won the game, but at what cost. My brother was very salty and deleted all my games on my phone the next day. I have never played headsoccer in my life since.

“I love seeing Paragoomba get two dingers in a row! ~2 seconds later~ “DAMN IT!!!!” That made me laugh way harder than it probably should have. 😂

My little brother and I actually learnt the rules of baseball through this game. I remember our parents took us to our first ever baseball game when I was like 7 and they were really excited to get us into the game. Needless to say, they were pretty surprised and kinda disappointed when we knew all the rules, since we weren't into sports at all. When they asked us how we knew about everything, we were like "wdym Mario taught us baseball"

FINALLY someone recognize the magnificence of Mario Super Sluggers. This game might’ve spoiled my expectations because now I hold new games to these standards jaja (though they’re being sold for $60 then they probably SHOULD be made like this)

fuuuuuuuuck yes mario baseball gaming, love me some dinger city one important thing to note is that both of these are namco games. it looks like nintendo is still willing to let external studios handle their sports titles, but I'm not 100% clear on how interested namco themselves would be in returning to it given how long it's been and I have no idea who else could be trusted with it still amazing games to this day. the chemistry system is the coolest shit in any of the bing bing wahoo sports and it's not close

One of my favorite small details was when the Captains squared off and the battle theme played. I always chose Luigi as my captain

There are so many Mario Sports Games that they probably make out the majority of Mario Games.

I've actually been playing Superstar baseball in my free time lately. Not for a video or anything, if that video comes itll be a ways off. But it's really fun! As someone who grew up with both it and sluggers but put more hours into Sluggers, it's been really fun seeing the differences

I loved this game so much! I still have my copy! Also, side note, a Mario sports game I loved so much was Mario Hoops 3-on-3! It was great and I need another Mario basketball game.

Issue is, you can. While clamber isn't awful in those very specific areas will tall walls, even in those scenarios, buddy jumping exists and works better

You can *NOT* beat the Pitching Minigame at Peach's Ice Field. Really the entire game is awesome aside from K. Rool's diaper.

I’ve never played the baseball games as Baseball isn’t a big thing where I’m from and even if it you put Mario in it I’ve always found the sport boring. But Mario Strikers Charged Football that shit is absolute🔥🔥 •Great looking visuals •Decent character roster for its size •Awesome music •Great Stages WITH Hazards •Expressive Characters And most importantly it was actually really hard especially the striker challenges I still have ptsd from both Diddy and yoshi’s challanges😰 but it was a still fun. Then you have Battle league🤡💀

sluggers is bad, allstar baseball is the only REAL marios baseball game, screw motion controls

Now, I can see where you're coming from, and hell, since posting this I've been playing Superstar Baseball again and it's fantastic. But I personally don't find the motion controls bad at all, as it's just a few slight flicks. I see why people may not like them but I never minded
