The Abandoned Resort in Cayman Brac Trailer (Divi Tiara Beach Resort)

Watch the film: • The Abandoned Resort i...
In April 2013, I visited Divi Tiara Beach Resort on Cayman Brac, one of three Cayman Islands in the Caribbean. It's about 12 miles long and a mile wide.
While exploring the island, I discovered the abandoned Divi Tiara Beach Resort on one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
The film documents my discovery of the resort as it happened and is followed by a conclusion presenting my research on the resort's past with several old photos included.

I'm a local. It was destroyed by a storm in 2008/2009 and for whatever reason they never fixed it. See the chef in the video. That's my grandfather. R.I.P ♥ Tiara beach resort was the besttttt. I miss it so much.

I have been at this resort MANY times when it was operating. My daughter learned to snorkel in the pool when she was 2 years old, and we pent Y2K at the bar drinking....MANY fond memories of this place!!!

It really does have a lot of sentimental Value. It was opened on the year I was born and my mother worked here as well. I've met many people from around the world who came to visit and it really did encapsulate what the Brac was; Peaceful, Relaxing and picturesque. Shame what happened.

I wish all the signs made by you and all the other people over the years were saved before it was demolished in 2019. I hope you were able to get yours back!

Walking thru these remains there is so much energy still here. Someone please invest in this property and restore it.

Fantastic. I love urbex videos and pictures but struggle to find before and after , I much prefer seeing how it once was before, gives it much more of a story

Me too. Unfortunately, I assume that they're gone forever. But pictures and videos live on.

Andrew McCann's "Relaxation Innovation" album of five long songs are available on iTunes. The specific song I used for this film is called "Peace". I used another track called "Relax" for my Tennessee Wonderland film. He also posts his music on KZread. Search KZread for "Background Music - Relaxation Instrumentation" and you'll find one of his videos and his channel.
