yeah, that's exactly where I am in "drama" phase. A lot of clients juts asks for samples, to top it off they try their best to get the theoretical solution from you in pre-contact meetings and get it done hy low-budget freelancers. Would love and appreciate your take on this.

I don't know if this is accurate but I'm noticing a decline in the proposal count on Upwork and the quality required by clients goes up even for smaller budget jobs I'm working on post my work quality up to 300% since this is the only way to progress!!

Hey to all! I have a quick question: Evan, you run a business and represent it on Upwork. You sign a contract with your customer and then let your business take care of it. I do the same, but my business is software development, so my team writes the code while I do management. Does it go against Upwork ToS? Thanks a lot in advance!

How can I avoid bad clients? And what can I do if I committed with one?

Well, If I don't make it to Toptal at 150$ per hour I can live with that. 50$ per hour in Thailand and I live like a king. My trick is that I'm in the very specialised field of composite material design and manufacturing. You know the 200 $ per pound carbon fiber.... Yep always a shortage in that domain.

You gotta be kidding really 🤯 when did you start freelancing and how long did it take to get you making that much? Perhaps I can do it too, My maximum earnings so far is only $4K but I am doing it part time so am not too bummed.
