I have read and heard stories of naturopathic doctors advising their patients to perform coffee enema as a way to detox. They are mostly suffering from skin diseases and other chronic illnesses such as cancer. They all have positive results according to their doctors.. As I watched this video, I therefore conclude that coffee is really not bad after all. I can say that I am no longer guilty for drinking black, pure and clean coffee every morning. Don't worry Doc....you pronounced cafestol and kahweol correctly. (giggles)

My doctor, though a scoffer of keto, does very much "approve" of coffee drinking, in moderation, and told me he wants me to continue to enjoy it "because you've had to give up so much already" (I've been diagnosed with so many food allergies, about the only things left for my nutrition are coffee and air!) Grocery shopping day is this Wednesday, and because the budget will permit it, I'm going to get some really good coffee I found at Kroger, and get back into it---with a bulletproof coffee first on the agenda! And because my doctor isn't the one living in this 67 year old body that I haven't treated well, so have much weight to lose, and health to rebuild, I'm on the keto way of eating forever---if he doesn't "approve" of that, I'll find another doctor.

I love coffee; I drink it all the time. I’m so glad that you shared this video, because often times, I hear on the news one day that coffee is really good for you, and then the next day, I hear that it’s bad for you, so this video confirmed but I already knew that coffee was really good! I didn’t know all the benefits, so I was glad to see this video.

unfiltered coffee is coffee that wasn't brewed in a paper filter. I drink my coffee in a french press, and if you do, you'd notice that your coffee is oily and has at the end of the cup that residue you mentioned. The problem with the paper filter in the coffee maker is that it keeps the good stuff away from getting into the pot, and that good stuff is basically the oils you mentioned in the video. The same thing is true about espresso and moka pot, they too allow the good stuff to be enjoyed, so they are good too.

I'm 37 and I have my gallbladder removed when I was 17 :( I used to drink 4 to 5 cups of coffee per day but 2 years ago the doctor told me to cut down on it after I had been diagnosed with chronic pancreatitis which is good now according to my last blood test ,and HBP which is now about 120\80 almost all the time! I really love coffee but still a bit afraid of adding it to my diet! Any advice? BTW it's my 2nd month on keto and I'm doing great so far. Thank Doctor, I'm a big fan of your channel

I have been telling my husband coffee was good for you. I drink bulletproof coffee(kerigold, heavy cream, sf hazelnut syrup) maybe I should drop the sf syrup but I love it. What do you think? I drink 2 to 3 cups a day. Too much? I started watching more Keto videos that said If you are at a stall eliminate sugar free products. Help me, what else should I use. My only vise is my bulletproof coffee! Thanks for this video!

Hi Cheryl, you definitely don't want to combine the syrup with the bulletproof coffee because the syrup will cause an insulin spike and you will store all the fat from the butter MCT oil or coconut oil. If you're going to have the syrup have it by itself

It's available in Kroger and Price Chopper stores here, but might also be in Walmart. Of course, more stores here might carry it since it's produced/packaged out of St. Louis....

I use to drink coffee black, but can't stand it black now. They changed their good tasting coffee to cheap tasting. I use to love Folgers and Maxwell house coffee but they are using cheap coffee beans or they added chemicals. I wish they would go back to their coffee from the 70's. Good coffee then. Use to have a good aroma when you open the can and when it's perking.

The myth that coffee was bad for you was probably put out by the same idiot who told us to throw out the egg yolks and that coconut oil was only good to make soap. I'm a 74 year old woman who wouldn't dream of doing any of the above ever, even when I was young and not so smart (I drink between 3 and 5cups of coffee a day) I can't drink coffee after about 3pm though, not if I intend to sleep. I know people who subscribe to the above nonsense and have tried to convert me to no avail, they are younger than me and look like hell, have Parkinson's and other diseases. I do have angina so I don't know where that fits in but I intend to keep drinking coffee, eating all my eggs and coconut oil. I am on the keto diet though I fall off the wagon every so often and I hate butter or MCT oil in my coffee, I drink it black, no sweetener, I do use MCT oil 1 cup light olive oil to half cup MCT oil for making mayo though and whole eggs😇 BTW love your videos especially the cooking ones.
