Same, stari98! This was helpful to me to know what to expect in driving the van. I don’t have a lot of volume to move but I wanted to know if I’d be able to see out the back and how it would go to drive by myself. I found the other explanations of features also nice to know, and “get a lay of the land.”

seriously thank you for this video. was super helpful for my boyfriend during our move because we were going to hire movers, but with this price, it made sense to just do it ourselves. he was the one driving, and he really appreciated this video. took off so much stress!!!!!

Just rented one of these this week - drove it 200 miles on 10 gallons of gas over winding Vermont roads. It easily held the contents of a studio apartment and still had reasonable pickup on hills. I've never driven anything bigger than a minivan before but found this quite manageable, backed out of a narrow driveway easily. Total cost for 24 hour rental was under $100. Wish I'd known about the backup camera!

how was it under a 100.00 when they add milage which is between .69 or 89 cents a mile . Doesnt add up

Thanks so much for this! Most ladies aren't accustomed to driving a long van often if ever. I'm going to be doing it and I'm a senior. It sounds quite easy and I'm confident.

Excellent video. Very accurate and helpful, especially when you are thinking on renting one of these. After I watch this video I decided to do my moving with this cargo van.

I was nervous 😟 but I’m feeling more confident

I rented the cargo van in may 2020, and I was easily able to fit a queen size mattress and a queen size box spring laying flat on the bottom. Was nervous about if it would fit, but it fit easily. Still had plenty of space for everything else I needed to move.

Yes, I definitely think it would. The mattress did not take up to entire length of the van.

This is a fantastic walkthrough because I reserved this same model van for tomorrow morning's move. I've never tried U-Haul before, so this is a great video to know what to expect.

You bet! I found it was much easier to drive than I expected!

Those are super.nice vans. A pleasure to drive. However, U Haul needs to get that 19.95 per day off those vehicles. It is definitely NOT 19.95 per day. After mileage was estimated and taxes added, it cost me $286 to rent for 2 days! And i only put 200 miles on it. They did refund me $71, which took me 4 days to get back on my card. Definitely not 19.95 a day. Plus you have to purchase gas. It cost me $525 to rent for 7 days and that included $125 gas and 950 miles at 59 cents a mile. A couple of other things: if you refuse the insurance U Haul offers you, you must sign a paper which states if there is any damage to the vehicle you are responsible for damage and you must pay right away. If you have a flat, windshield wiper damage, need a tow, et al, you are responsible. If you have an accident and even if another vehicle is involved, you are responsible for damages even if U Haul gets paid by another source. It is best to get their insurance which comes to about $10 a day. In most cases, your personal insurance will probably not pay for a rental.

Will be renting this exact model in a month for a move. Was nevous about how it'll drive. Thanks for the video it took off a lot of stress!

Oh man, thank you for the video. I was worried about driving one of these until I saw this video, and also realized that its only 1.5 feet longer than my normal car, while being 8 inches less wide... feeling REALLY confident now!!

I rented on of these to haul an antique electric range for my kitchen. I was going to get a small trailer to hook up to my truck but it was driving rain all day. It drove really nice for a large van and it actually got better gas mileage than my truck would with the trailer. Somewhere around 22mpg round trip while climbing two mountain passes each way.

Appreciate the review! About to use one, and you're right that mileage can really add up (but we got half rate for driving more than 100 miles).

To screen out extra noise, I wear earplugs or just ear buds, and it screens out just enough surrounding noise, but you can usually hear clearly the radio or a passenger. Works great at concerts or clubs too. Just make sure the earplugs are not so tight that you can't hear an emergency vehicle!

Excellent video! I was specifically wondering if this 9” Uhaul would fit a queen mattress and the video description clearly says “could fit any queen size mattress” 😂just awesome lol

FYI I drive a similar van for work and have to transport temp sensitive things. Pets will be comfy in the back, just make sure you stabilize the kennels

I join in the appreciation for this vid, it really helps to have a look at it from the "normal driver" POV -- no offense to the professionally produced videos from UHaul but the little things like the running board and the peculiarities of the dashboard and the driving experience, are very valuable.

Awesome van and a great video. I'll be renting a U-Haul Van coming up tomorrow and this is really helpful. Ford did an exceptional job on the new Transit. The only thing I really miss from the old Ford E-Series Vans versus the Transit is the bench seat. I felt like a 3 passenger version should be available but oh well no big.

I have to rent on a fairly regular basis. Only the Ford Transit has the back up camera. I think the Ford is my favorite. The GMC second and The Dodge last. The seating in the Dodge as comparrd to the windshield height is a bit awkward. The seat is high and top of the windshield is low. And center cupholders on the floor awkward.

that's a good u-haul to use

I've used Uhaul for several years with no issues. However, if you a rental truck/van for several days use Penske instead; you will typically get better equipment , with a 3 day rental and unlimited miles.

I'm confused at what the description box says. It can hold a queen matress set. But the measurements of a cal king are a pretty good fit. Will a Cal king mattress and 2 twin boxsprings fit in this van ?

Kind of wish Uhaul allowed you to rent a 9' cargo van for an out of state move, I don't have too many things but it wouldn't all fit in a Hertz rental and the 10' box costs so much more. Sucks to be 20 I guess.

Maybe do some thrifting like getting rid of stuff I’m 18 venturing off for the first time and I think this is perfect for me! I have like 6 boxes, a bed, a chair , a table two lockers and.... that’s it lol

A van is the perfect size I need, but my drive will be out of state, 730 miles from Mobile, AL to Miami, FL. and I need to tow my Jeep Patriot.
