The 88 Temples (English Version) Full movie
Gian D. Ceccato meets a pilgrim, Kei Takano, on the Camino de Santiago de Compostela 800 Kms pilgrimage. When Kei offers Gian to be his guide if he decides to visit the 88 Temples, a Buddhist pilgrimage in Kei's country, Japan, Gian takes Kei at his word. Four years later, Gian finds himself trying to enter into a spiritual world he could not hope to grasp. At the end of his journey, he experienced a new awareness that the human spirit needs something greater than living the day-to- day life.
N.B. PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT THIS FILM IS NOT ABOUT THE AUTHOR'S NEWFOUND FAITH; HE IS A DEVOUT CHRISTIAN. INSTEAD, IT IS ABOUT HIS UNDERSTANDING AND APPRECIATION FOR ALL PEOPLE "OF PEACE AND GOOD WILL." (Luke 2:14)

Lovely job. This is my dream someday. Thank you for sharing.
What a great documentary this is! It really summarizes the experience so well. Thank you for your openness to Buddhism & the people of Japan & your sense if adventure 🙏🏻
Thank you for sharing such a beautiful and inspirational journey. 🙏
Dear Mr. Ceccato, This truly is a marvelous account of your experience in Shikoku. I have lived here in Shikoku since 2007 and have experienced the Shikoku Pilgrimage myself. You have very nicely encapsulated the experience of walking the path beautifully, honestly, and with artistry and style. Thank you very much for producing this. At this time, my wife and I work as the Concierge for Tourism Shikoku. If you do not mind, I will refer to your great work for those who contact us expressing interest in the life-changing experience that is the Shikou Pilgrimage.

@@digigian I'm most impressed by your humility and honesty in how you present yourself. The act of making a pilgrimage is a spiritual adventure, and you have fully entered into this spirit. I am also very impressed with your editing. I have used the same approach in my own videos about the pilgrimage, but you have succeeded much better than I have. Please let me know if you ever come to Japan again. I would enjoy walking with you. (I live in Tokushima City).

Dear Paul, thank you. Perhaps, you should consider taking the Camino De Santiago too. The pilgrimage is powerful in awakening and strengthening the higher self.
Thank you for your voice. This is a good introduction to Shikoku but it is your voice, like Feodor Chaliapin's, that holds me.
A truly inspirational video on your pilgrimage. Would love to be able to contact you to ask some questions and understand your travel, accommodation experience etc
Such a lovely watching watching this - as myself walking on a regular basis on Caminos in Spain, Shikoku 88 is a most wanted path to walk. The nature is stunning the strenopus task is tempting and luring, people are nice, what is not to like, except the lang haul flight...Thank you for making the decision easier... In frame 44:52 you have a roll of duct tape strapped to your pact, and I thought, what an unusual implement for walking this is. Is that for wrapping up your backpack for the flight !?

No, the tape was not for wrapping up the backpack. By applying a piece of tape on the sensitive area of your feet, prevents formation of a blister. Best wishes.

I’ll ask David Moreton (the professor in the film) and get back to you.
12:00 sounds like the Song of Storms from Legend of Zelda.
God bless you
