I was a Make-A-Wish Mexico volunteer for ten years, and one of the best wishes I was involved in was this young girl who wanted nothing less to be a lieutenant in the Navy. So, my mom had a friend who'd been in the Navy and I managed to get in contact with them, and eventually they sent us (the girl, her father, her brother and myself as the Make-A-Wish representative) to Veracruz, on a Navy plane no less, for the National Navy Day celebrations. She got her own frigate boat baptized after her (the Laura), went to San Juan de Ulúa, to the Aquarium, and even got her own tailored white lieutenant uniform, and was named lieutenant (honorarily, of course) at the Heroica Escuela Naval Militar (Navy school) during the celebration, with all the cadets and officers in attendance. Laura has since passed from her illness, but the memory of her and that wish will forever stay with me.

A lot of kids do beat cancer in real life too, and more and more are doing so every year. The kid who asked for the Batman wish in this video is now better. In fact they did his wish after he recovered. The game helps kids understand what their treatment does and conceptualizes it in a way they can understand, and understanding what is happening to you and why you are having these treatments is actually incredibly helpful to recovery. It gets kids in to a better state of mind about their treatment.

I was so excited to see this video, until I realized the format.

This was actually one of the best Clackies yet. All of these kids were awesome, and I loved that WoW quest. They even made a second character based off of him after he passed away that showed up during the thanksgiving quests. One of the Ancestor spirits is named's Wheathoof, just like the quest giver he voiced.

Thats exactly how I feel. I'm always putting videos on in the background while I multitask. Most every other cracked video is perfect for that since they're not very visual anyway, usually just people talking to the camera.

The best one was the kid who wished for unlimited wishes (watch the onion video)

Hello, I'm a member of the Irony police. I would just like to say "Well done on your correct use of Irony". I really need to get badges done with that on them. Being in the Irony police, it's not all about letting people know that they have incorrectly used irony and patrolling the bad streets of the internet where spelling is murdered on a regular basis and grammar is constantly mugged (and it's not wise to 'get me started' on slang and text speak that people insist on using but really shouldn't. It's not cool or clever, especially if you are in and over your 30s and you want to sound cool or clever). Some days I get to celebrate people correctly using irony. It's nice to be able to sit back, with a wry smile on my face, as I nod in appreciation. There's no need to be sardonic, no need to fall into farce or tomfoolery. It's moments like this that remind me why I joined the Irony police in the first place. Please, keep up the good work. Anyway, mind how you go now because I don't doubt that some teenager somewhere is needlessly trying to explain why something is funny (rendering it unfunny), ever eager to kill the flow of all conversations on the internet.

I actually injoy these videos, in my opinion they are my second favorite from cracked (the first being After Hours) then again I love a good read and I like the clicking of the typewriter so maybe that's why I like it.

For a make a wish fundraiser I had to sail in a small sailboat in 30 knot winds and watch everyone capsize while somehow keeping my cool.

OMG what an awesome video!! just thinking about the boy who got to run around as batman is gonna keep me on the edge of tearing up all day =,)

This made me wish I didn't age out of Make a Wish foundation. My mom found out I qualified a bit too late. BUMMER! I've still gotten to do some amazing things though. And if you were curious I was born with a congenital heart defect, I'm fine now, but I almost died twice, and had a 15% chance of living when I was born.

I actually received a wish from the Make-A-Wish foundation, and ended up wishing for a new bedroom. I know it's not all that much fun, but I figured that it was better to wish for something that would last a long time, as opposed to something that would be an only in the moment kind of thing. Part of me still wishes I went the other way, though, LOL.

Ugh the Ezra one always gets me. Blizzard has actually put a lot of memorials into WoW, but the Ezra one was the first I was aware of. I always make a point to stop and hug his npc if I'm in the area.

Loved the bat kid movie, but that kid blowing up a building was awesome! You'd think the make a wish people would be like "um, no we don't grant wishes like that, how about a football?" They are like super cool parents everyone wished they had growing up. Too bad about the whole cancer prerequisite.

A lot of us love the channel, but dislike this particular video format. "If you don't like them, then don't watch them" one might ask; I'd love to, but Cracked refuses to give them an appropriate title.

These are some pretty awesome wishes. The kid getting to blow up the building would have been me, if I were in his shoes.

My brother got blown up by some guy who thought he was making a firework but made a pipe bomb. My brother almost died but he got a game room from make a wish with a popcorn machine, snow cone maker, lazy boy, couch, flat screen, the new Xbox (this was 9 years ago), and so many cool things
